Loved the location of this hotel right off Robson. Only stayed one night, but could see staying longer period. Had two one bedroom suites to accommodate the five of us. One room had to be "refreshed" with some sort of air cleaner as the previous occupant apparently smoked--not cool. Only other complaint was that the heating/air unit outside the bedroom window was extremely loud and woke me out of a sound sleep twice. Bed was comfortable, however. For the price we paid, we definitely got a good value.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was fully equipped. There was a grocery store right across the street and you are in the heart of all the shopping that Robson Street has to offer. Loved the location, 10 min. walk to yale town and the gaslamp district. The staff were very professional.

We only stayed one night at this hotel, but we really enjoyed it. The staff was excellent. (Tip: Don't exchange your money at the airport. There is no fee at the hotel, and they give you a better exchange rate. Also, try to find other transportation from airport other than taxi. It cost us $35.) There weren't many restaurant choices near by that we were interested in, so we went next door to a very nice grocery store and got food from their deli. We took it back to the room and made use of the kitchen. Very nice room with a lot of space. We loved the bed and the pillows, too. Would definately stay there again if we were given the same half off rate (I'm a bargain shopper).

We were delighted with the standard and quality of the 1-bedroom apartment. Very large, comfortable and fully equipped at little more than the price of the usual 4-star hotel room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking is expensive at $30 per day but valet parking is included in the price. The Suttton Place is close to Robson St for shopping and only 15min walk from the harbour area and Seabus terminal. Vancouver is a lovely city and you can walk to most downtown areas of interest. We also used the hop-on / hop-off trolley bus - a 2-day ticket is about $40 per person.

Our party of five (three adults, two children) stayed in an 11th floor suite with two bedrooms, one-and-a-half baths, kitchen, living room, and dining room. The views were spectacular and the accommodations fit us well. An extra shower, however, would've been nice. The doormen, front desk, concierge, hotel shop personnel, and housekeeping all delivered outstanding service. Requests for extra towels, tea, etc. were filled almost instantly. The hotel's downtown location is convenient to public transportation, and we were able to walk to Stanley Park. Loud fire truck sirens were frequent during the day, but I don't recall being disturbed at night. Apparently, each suite has central air conditioning with the outside unit on the balcony. Although the unit was rather loud, its noise was never a problem when the balcony door was closed. Considering all the amenities (including a free daily newspaper), the price of the suite was quite reasonable.

Love the Sutton. The service is always top notch. The location couldn't be better. But the best part for us are the rooms in the Residence tower of the hotel. When traveling with our children, this is the perfect hotel. With a full kitchen, we go to Granville Island and stock up on all kinds of yummy, fresh foods so snacks and breakfast are taken care of. The grocery store next door to the hotel is perfect as well and has everything you could need. The room has plenty of space so we aren't all stacked on top of one another and there is the pool for when the kids need to burn a little extra energy. My go to spot when in Vancouver.

Arriving at the Sutton Place in the heart of Vancouver with excellent valet and bell service was a treat. Dinner in the hotel's Fleuri Restaurant that evening was fantastic. Located at the top of Robson, this is great place to start out the day shopping and finding places to eat. The large living room in our one bedroom suite had a nice surround sound system and very nice comfortable furniture. The battery in the remote to turn on the tv was dead but was fixed in a matter of minutes. The flat panel screen developed a black streak down the side but we weren't there to watch tv:) The bed, pillows and room comfort were very adequate.

Hotel has a lot of benefits: city center location, room with full kitchen and supermarket next door, ideal when travelling with children. We had a deluxe room with kitchen - room was dim, quite cramped, (kitchen and bathroom starting to look quite dated) and uncomfortably hot, even with the heating turned off. Had to resort to opening the patio doors at night, but then had city center noise, sirens etc. to contend with. Also bear in mind, that parking is not free for residents at this hotel and significantly adds to the cost of your stay.

This hotel was fabulous! It is absolutely in the middle of everything, with a grocery store half a block away, a wine shop next door that offers wine tasting twice nightly, Robson Street shopping and a movie complex steps away, the Trolley tour and elevated train all within walking distance. We took the train and then a short taxi ride to the hotel. The conceirge was extremely helpful, even finding a bottle of rare balsamic vinegar for us. It was like having our own travel guide! The only disappointment was the extremely expensive hotel restaurant although the food was excellent. There weren't any choices that our teenager would consider.

We travelled as far as Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver, utilizing the bus and ferries.
