This was a return trip to the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown Savannah. I enjoy staying here because it is a good value. The bed and linens are very comfortable, it's always clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is great for me as I don't mind the few miles drive to the Historic District, and the parking is free unlike most hotels in the […] HD. I did not dine at the hotel but as I was checking out I asked for an iced tea to go and was promptly handed one at no charge by a nice gentleman working the dining room. The pool was closed due to glass I wish they had that a little more under control and then there was confusion about a free shuttle from the hotel to the historic area. May have been because it was St. Patrick's day weekend, but that was the only reason why we booked there. Next time I would like to know in advance.

I suppose any time one sees the "excuse the inconvenience" sort of signs, One gets a little deflated. Predictably, the under-construction lobby was chaotic. Seminars under way severely restricted the amount of parking available. One would wonder why management would allow the meetings to continue into the evening. Still, the room was fine.

This was a very nice and clean hotel only 3 miles from historic downtown. The only complaint is that I had to call the front desk to get my air and my TV to work....??? Did not get that.. But other than that it was a great stay.

It took forever for the front desk to answer the phone when I called to make a reservation. I probably would have moved on, but this hotel was part of a reserved block for a group event. The hotel was nice enough (heads-up they are renovating the front lobby, but it did not interfere with our stay). About 15 or 20 mins from River Street ($15 each way […] in a cab--call Michelle at Chatham Cab). It was nice and the beds were good, but there was some kind of problem with the outlets. I brought a small fan and it kept cutting on and off, all on one side of room. I did let them know when we checked out. other than that the stay was great!

Not the best of neighborhoods and it is NOT just off of I-95, however the staff and cleanliness oft the hotel far outweigh the other. Our van door was left open and the front desk called and let us know that the building engineer had kept an eye on it.. Nothing was missing and we are so greatfull.

I souldn't have asked for more helpful staff. Traveling through, my husband became seriously ill and had to be hospitalized for 4 days. The hotel itself was pretty decent. I liked the location of it seeing as it was on a street with a lot of restaurants and the drive into downtown was about 10 mins. I stay here for work. Good location because there are restaurants and starbucks across street. Walls are paper thin, so unfortunately I hear everyone. its only bad when its busy, its usually fine. The oddest part is that I have yet to ever see a roll of toilet paper! They dont even have a holder for the TP. Plenty of kleenex though!
