This hotel is priced way out of its range! Its over $250 a night but should be priced between $75 - $150/night. This is a nice hotel for the price. They could use a much larger kitchen area. The flight that I settled for took me to the LaGuardia Airport instead. But the Hotel.com article gives the impression that this hotel is equally close to both airports, so I did not change my hotel choice. I had to catch the train down to the Kennedy Airport area. My credit union changed from VISA debit cards to M/C debit cards. So the card had to take on a totally different number which reflects that it now part of the Master Card system. They still charged me the regular room rate. I explained to them that I was only using that card to reserve the room anyway. The consumer has a right to have the actual room charge be made to different credit card. They had already decided that I intentionally gave the wrong credit card number and would not reinstate my discount, even though it was roughly just forty dollars. After reading the reviews prior to booking my room, I was a bit nervous about the hotel and neighborhood in Queens, but it turned out great! The biggest perks this hotel offers are FREE parking, FREE daily hot breakfast, FREE Wi-Fi, private bathroom, large fridge inside room, and convenient location next to the VanWyck Expressway and the VanWyck E train […] subway station. The hotel lobby has a variety of local delivery menus for guests! The parking lot is very small, only 12 spaces, but we had no problem finding parking all week. The hotel is outdated but nonetheless it was clean and well kept; my room was clean and comfortable! Expect to hear the sounds of the city all night long, so bring ear plugs if you need silence! They offer a great breakfast from 6-10am which includes a variety of bagels, toast, donuts, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, eggs and sausage links. The hotel staff is very nice; housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning our room and did not disturb any of our belongings. The Lexington is two blocks from the VanWyck E train subway station and it is an easy walk to get there. (Just be careful as there were several homeless people in the small park near the station, however, none of them ever bothered us.) There are several small stores near the hotel, which are great for stocking up on drinks & snacks. I never felt unsafe while out around the Lexington or in Queens. I will definitely stay again!!!
