This is a no frills hotel with very clean rooms (which is the most important to me). The check in process was very pleasant. If I was in the area again, I would definitely stay at Microtel Inn again.

This hotel is really a very nice hotel. I was attending a conference nearby and thus had to have lodging for one night two weeks in a row. Each time the staff at the desk was very courteous and the room was excellent. The pillows are a bit to thick for my taste but all else was superb. The hotel was quiet due to it being virtually empty. I have to assume […] the reason is that the name is so bad. Microtel sounds like a telecommunications company not a hotel. I almost didn't select this hotel just because of the name. I am glad I decided to stay. Breakfast is the typical continental with a make your own waffle iron. The bathroom had no lack of hot water. I took a 20 minute shower and the water was hot through out with no signs of ending. If you stay at this hotel, I think you will pleasantly surprised especially for the price. Read more

The room was small, but the bed was extremely comfortable. Sheets and blankets were fabulous, not itchy and uncomfortable like cheap hotels tend to be. Was able to adjust heat with the touch of a button. front desk carries essentials in case you forget (toothbrush, razor, etc.) Overall good choice for a quick night!

The hotel was really nice and the staff made our stay enjoyable. The rooms with the single king bed are a little small, but still quite comfortable. I did enjoy the keurig coffee makers and they were made available all day, not just at breakfast.

A very nice stay with no hassles. Staff even printed my boarding passes for me as they was no printer in the lobby. I really like the bed area lighting in Microtel rooms.

very clean and the staff was accommadating. A little confusing to get to since you are traveling down a road that says NO OUTLET so you think you are going wrong. But all in all a clean, comfortable and convenient hotel. Would stay at this one or any other Microtel. Good value

Clean, comfortable and no frills. I was a little concerned about noise when we were assigned a room immediately adjacent to the lobby. The room however was surprisingly quiet. Nice job with noise-proofing!

Given wrong information about pricing for crib. First crib was dirty and the side rail would not stay up, had to get another, which worked fine. Housekeeping turned our AC down to 65 when they cleaned the room. It was only 70 outside and I have a 6 month old, not ideal.

This place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The location is perfect, only 10 minutes to Highway 1. There is plenty of restaurants and there is a walgreens right down the road. We would stay there again!

This hotel is super clean, updated decor, close to many stores in Dover and a short distance to Maine/Boston. The ONLY draw back is that the walls are paper thin. We were on the second floor and could hear every foot step upstairs, every door close in the hall and every baby cry ect. Our hotel stay started off nicely with a clean room and a location close to everything we wanted to do. However, we soon discovered that safety was not a priority for this hotel. Our door did not lock properly- deadbolt did not work at all and screws were coming out of the lock itself. As a result, every time someone around us open or shut their door, […] our door would loudly flap back and forth because it was not fully secure (and this happened a lot the first night because we were next to the side entrance!). I complained about this to the front desk and they were going to put in a request for maintenance to come and check it out so, even though it caused us some annoyance the first night, the problem was eventually solved. The big problem came the next day when we tried to take a shower. They had placed us in a handicapped accessible room, which was fine with us at first. However, the shower was flat at the bottom and did not have a lip to step over like a normal tub (so someone in a wheelchair could just wheel right in). Even with the shower curtain closed and the bath mat laid out, the whole bathroom floor flooded after two people took showers. We were slipping and sliding all over the place while trying to dry off and get ready! This may seem like a minor annoyance to some people, but I was 6 months pregnant and was very concerned about falling and hurting my baby (I was already becoming very uncoordinated as it was). My husband had to use all of the towels provided to try and mop it all up and still was not able to get it dry (I took pictures and wish I was able to post them on my review!). I understand why the shower was designed the way it was to be accessible to people in wheelchairs, but there needs to be something to prevent the water from getting all over the place to provide safety precautions to everyone, handicapped or not. My husband and I stayed for 3 days and were very pleased with everything. The hotel staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast was good. We did a lot of traveling around the area and it was nice to come back to a very quiet relaxing environment. Very economical!!

We had a hard time getting to sleep as they booked a family above us. The parents were letting the kid run up and down the hall stomping feet at 11PM. We had to call and visit the front desk 3 times before they addressed our concern.

First the hot water was out for two days. No compensation. Second, the housekeeper turned the shower head facing outward and lifted the shower handle to when my wife turned on the shower it flooded the entire bathroom and soaked her and the kids. Again, no compensation. Might have been funny when we were 12. Not now, however. Never again!!!

I found the Microtel to be clean and the staff friendly, but very ineffective. The walls were paper thin and our neighbors were very noisy all through the night. When I called the front desk they assured me they would take care of this problem, which they never did. Upon checking out , the front desk clerk told me she was aware of our issue and she […] was sorry, however, no compensation was made to us, nor were we offered to move our room the night before. The breakfast spread was nice and fresh and I thought the place was clean. It would have been better if the place had a pool also.
