The GHotel is in a great location, walking distance from Main Train Station and 100 meters from Oktoberfest. Internet in lobby is free for 30 mins. a day otherwise you pay close to 7 Euro for 30 mins. or 8 Euro for 1 day (24 hours). I did not see air conditioner in my room. Windows open but no screens. SBahn stop is 30 meters from hotel. Staff is good. […] Breakfast on 5th floor every morning is well worth doing at 12 Euro and they just charge your room. Even though I had a good experience with GHotel I will try another hotel next time I'm in Munich for a week. The bedding needs some changes, only one pillow. The directions for local restaurants in the rooms papers was incorrect sending me on a 35 min. walk in the wrong direction. Read more

Hotel is a block away from the Oktoberfest park. Limited hotel parking, but street parking is decent. Hotel staff was nice but always on the phone. Free wifi in the lobby was advertised but not actually available. I had to pay extra to get online. Breakfast was good with standard German fare. Room was clean and comfortable.

I was placed in a room that was located outside the main building. Immediately outside of my door were numerous broken bedframes and mattresses. The entire floor was undergoing renovation of some sort. Evening attendant was tremendously rude and unpleasant.

It was just a great hotel. It was just 4 blocks away from the main train station, which was just a five minutes walk and there is also a subway station just on the corner of the street of the hotel. The hotel was very comfortable, and looks pretty new. It offers free wi-fi on the reception and you also get wi-fi on you room, but you have to pay for […] it although it is not expensive at all. The rooms are just great, clean and not small at all (which is usually what I expect in europe in general) and the bathroom is also very nice and spacious. Very clean and efficient hotel about 10-15 minute walk from historic center city and the main train station. The surrounding neighborhood was not the best but did not cause too much concern. The room did not seem to have AC and if you kept the window open, you heard loud bellowing from a courtyard below and the ringing of the beautiful (but loud) church […] bells. we ended up in Munich after a long trip around Europe and we loved this hotel! It was so convenient with a subway line at the end of the block that takes you everywhere in the city. The staff was also very helpful and polite and the rooms were nice too. Our room was right by the elevator but it was totally quiet.

For those expecting a 5-star hotel with concierge service and rooms the size of meeting halls, this is probably not the place for you. But if you are looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable, and affordable (relative to other options) place to stay in Munich, then I highly recommend the GHotel. They offer a very nice breakfast buffet (for an additional fee) that actually had hot food items (trust me - this was a big deal to me compared to other places I have stayed in Germany). I guess the only negative I can think of is that they charge a ridiculous amount for wireless internet service. But then, I had little use for this, since I spent most of my time exploring the city. We enjoyed the stay here, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and pleasant (good shower!). The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was off-street parking that we took advantage of, since we didn't drive at all during our stay. I appreciated the small gym provided (very small and not much equipment, but enough to get a quick workout […] in. It's usually hard to find hotels with gyms, so I appreciated that there even was one). We were a little farther than hoped from central downtown, but it was an easy 4 block walk to the Hauptbahnhoff (main train station), and we could take the trains anywhere if we didn't feel like walking. (we did bike rentals one day there, too, definitely recommend it!) Overall I'll probably stay somewhere closer to downtown next time/in a different part of the city just to explore some other areas/museums more, but I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good price and a nice, clean, pleasant hotel. Hotel is fine, staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Location is great, very close to Ubahn Theresienwiese. Breakfast is expensive and should be included, but for Munich value for money is great. Hotel about 10 min walk from station. It was pleasant enough inside, rooms on a similar par to a premier inn, staff helpful and attentive, room cleaned and towels replaced daily. We arrived at the hotel after getting slightly lost en-route from the station. Easiest way there is to get the U-bahn to Therisienplatz. We got there quite early, before 12 and they made a room available for us. Very nice room. Included a small kitchenette with a two-plate hob, microwave, kettle, kitchen sink and mini-fridge. Nice bathroom with a shower […] and a nice bed with a TV. One slight let down (though not really the hotel's fault) is the massive amount of noise made by the building work directly opposite the bedroom window. It started VERY early in the morning and was pretty persistent. Wasn't bothered enough to mention this to the hotel staff however so don't know how they'd have handled it. Another VERY negative point is their "free" WiFi. As stated, you have to pay for wifi in your room. However, the free wifi in the lobby isn't quite as it seems. There is one hotel owned laptop connected and constantly "on" in the lobby. You have to request a code from the receptionists and then are allowed on the laptop. Pretty annoying really. The only wifi we found was in a Starbucks the other side of Marienplatz (even McDonalds didn't have any!). Overall though, a really nice hotel in a decent area, close enough to the centre. I stayed here for one night early in December. Although there isn't a great deal going on directly around the hotel, it's not a far walk to take-away shops, resturants, bars etc and the main train station too of course. The hotel itself was very clean, very warm and defintetly great value for money. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Good location, only 100 metres walk to a metro station. The room had a kitchenette was very useful to prepare snacks, coffees etc. and there is a small grocery shop directly opposite the hotel. We stayed here one night, were passing throug Munich quickly and it did the trick. Our flight arrived early but it was no problem checking in at 13:30. First of all, the service wasn't good - I even got some stupid remarks regarding the wear and tear of my passport (why is that even of interest, I wonder?). The room was reeked of smoke, although I had requested a non-smoking room. Moreover, the window looked out over the back yard, which got quite noisy at night even though I kept it closed. You can quickly reach the city centre, however, I would recommend all families and women travelling alone to look for accommodation further to the East of the train station - I definitely wouldn't want to walk around the area alone/with children after dark. This hotel was a little to far away from the centre of Munich. Not a problem if you like walking or can understand the u-bahn system. We were a little disapointed with the hotel, it was showing signs of age and our room needed modernising. Jeg synes hotellet ligger helt perfekt i gåafstand til Hovedbanegården og kunne ikke ligge bedre ift. Oktoberfest-pladsen. De burde dog tjekke afløbene på badeværelserne, for på begge værelser lugtede der grimt af rådne hår etc. fra afløbet.

Hotel selbst war gut ,aber die Lage im Bahnhofsviertel ,war nicht so toll. Hatte ein Einzelzimmer, direkt neben der Raucherecke. Frühstücksbüfett war sehr gut, Frühstückszimmer liegt unterm Dach bzw. eine Sommerterrasse mit schöner Aussicht ist vorhanden. WLAN auf dem Zimmer kostet extra, es gibt aber einen kostenlosen Anschluß in der Hotellobby. ´Für meine Bedürfnisse war das Zimmer zweckmäßig und ausreichend. Die vorgefundene Kitchenette war eine Überraschung und wurde für das Frühstück gern von mir genutzt.
