Bay View Resort - Myrtle Beach 33.688, -78.8838

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS A GREAT HOTEL FOR ALL AGES. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE BEEN THERE AND ITS STILL AWESOME. INDOOR SWIMMING POOL, LAZY RIVER, KIDDIE POOL, AND A SPA. ONE THING THAT THEY MESSED UP WAS THAT WE ASKED FOR KING BED BUT WE GOT 2 DOUBLES. OTHER THAN THAT WE WILL BE COMING BACK AGAIN DEFINABLY.

Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean. We could see dolphins swimming close to shore and flocks of pelicans flying close to the water every morning. Beautiful! The room was a shock. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and New Year's Eve so I had asked many questions both at hotels.com and the hotel before booking to make sure we had a special room for a romantic weekend. I had been told we would have an ocean front suite with a King bed. What we received was a small room with two double beds. The room was so small that we couldn't pass each other walking. We had to take turns. The closet door was missing and there was nowhere to put our suitcase except on the floor in front of the door leading to the other side of the condo. Our room was that condo's second bedroom. There was Wi-Fi but no table or desk to set the lap top on. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets were old and had "pilling" making sleep even more uncomfortable. On the first morning we were there, housekeeping came early. We said that we would be leaving for breakfast in about an hour. They never returned. The second morning we had the do not disturb sign on until we left for breakfast at a little after 9 AM. We never got housekeeping that day either. When I called the from desk late in the afternoon, I was told that everyone had gone home. I asked for clean towels and was told they would send some up. I had to call twice over several hours for the towels before they were delivered. The elevators were dirty the whole time. they were also rusty, smelled, slow, and we were stuck for about 5 minutes with other guests before the elevator started moving again when the call button was pushed. Parking is a block away, but in a secure garage that can only be accessed with a room key card. As long as a person is following someone with a room key, anyone can have access to the garage. When dealing with hotel staff, most were pleasant but not welcoming and friendly. After reading other posti

Bay View Resort offers a great value for Winter travelers. The cost is much higher in the Summer months.

We Have stayed at this hotel 4 times now. It is clean ,well maintained. good location, right on the ocean. the rooms are not the biggest but are comfortable. have fridge and microwave. will go back again.

We had a really great time at this hotel! For the money, it was much more than we expected! The rooms were big and very comfortable. The staff at the front desk is pretty slow so it takes a little while to check in and out and the place you have to park while you are getting checked in is very small, so parking may be a temporary problem. They do have a free parking deck across the street...about a block over. It's not a very far walk though. The website says they have a pool, but when we went there was only an indoor pool and lazy river, but no outdoor pool (there was plenty of room for one!!). We were very disappointed about that. And slow elevators...just because there are so many stories to the building. Overall great stay though!! If you prefer to lay by the pool instead of the beach, I wouldn't stay here though...

Based on everybody's recommendation, we stayed at the Bayview and it was great. So close to the airport, the 1 bedroom condo with two oceanview porches, kitchen, premium cable, internet connection and the oceanfront to walk on day and night, all expectations were exceeded. My only regret was we didn't plan to stay longer. My only complaint (I am usually quick to find fault) were the taxes SC imposes. We paid $42.50 in fees and taxes on a $66 rental car bill. That is off the hook. More than 20% in room charges taxes and fees. Bottom line-they are taking us (tourists) for a ride. While we were there, the TV advertised how they were going to reduce property taxes in Myrtle Beach by 90% by further taxing the tourists. SC, I'll be watching to see if they tax the golden goose to death and I'll not be back. Hotels.com and I are married for life.

This resort was very clean, all amenities were available as advertised. The only negatives were beyond the control of the resort such as the city is currently refurbishing the beach near the hotel and one elevator broke down during my stay, causing delays at time for the elevator. Otherwise, great stay, and I would definitely stay again.

We loved our room (pillows could have been better). I would recommend getting a suite with a kitchen. Well worth it. The view was great, it had beach access, and very nice swimming facilities. We only had two problems. One, the internet did not work in my room, and it could not be fixed. The other was that we got stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes. The staff was nice, but they need to fix the elevators before I go back.

I work in the hotel indutry and i was very 99% happy with this hotel. will stay again!!!

this is a great hotel for the price very clean and everything you need for an enjoyable trip. room was a little small and the bed was not that comfortable other than that it was a great deal

Very small room with very small dresser. Only place to sit was the bed or outside on balcony. Non smoking room but smelled of smoke. The pool was very small as was the raft float pool - not at all like the pictures on the website. The garage was a block away - very inconvenient. There were no restaurants nearby for breakfast. Would not stay here again. The north part of Myrtle Beach is newer with better restaurants and shops.

Got a great deal and have to admit that I would pay extra for the insurance of knowing that the hotel I chose was clean, comfortable, showers and toilet worked and not a rip off. Well this hotel met all my expectations. We had a oceanview room on 4th floor and that was quite nice. The elevators were quick and we never had to wait. Maybe if you're on the 19th floor that is different. Our room was small and didn't have a desk but did have a balcony that sat 2. The bathroom had been remodeled and the shower was powerful and hot. The room also had a counter with sink, coffee pot, microwave and sink. Though it did not offer coffee to actually brew it did have a starbucks on the street corner. So buy some coffee and save some money or the tall starbucks will cost you about 2.80 /cup. But some will probably not complain too much about that. There was easy access to beach and the indoor pool/lazy river/hot tub/kiddie pool was cleaned every morning. We left the beach and came right up the access and into the pools, whcih they also provided towels. This hotel is not the best hotel you will stay in but for the price, it was comfortable, clean and quite nice. I would stay here again. Its about 5 minutes from Broadway and a few block walk to the Bowery and host of novelty shops, and Ripleys .

Internet room was very very small (large enough for two standard beds and that was it... no chairs or side tables. if youre in the room you sat on the beds). But we upgraded the next morning for a nominal additional charge to a one bedroom condo and was well pleased.

Had such a great experience at this hotel I booked this for a quick getaway to Myrtle with my best friend. Again - room was clean, staff was great. We got an eleventh floor oceanview room with an amazing view of the Atlantic. Location is convenient to everything at the beach. Went running on the beach every morning - access was simple and area is safe. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is convenient to pretty much everything at the beach. Had an oceanview room; room was clean and adequate for two people. Staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this, especially for the money!

I booked this hotel for myself and my parents I booked a one bedroom thinking im getting a bedroom and living room but they tell me that a room with 2 double beds is a one bed room. Very misleading. they were told upfront we would have 3 adults, but they had no seating in the room. and only 2 plastic chairs on the belcony we asked the front desk if we could get another chair but was told no. I booked that hotel because it had high speed internet but the internet when i could get on definately was not high speed. Elevators were very slow. at one point we waited a good 15 minutes for the elevator to watch it go right by our floor without stopping. I would not recommend this hotel. Ive stayed at 6 different hotels their on the beach and this is by far the worse. Best i have found so far is Camelot by the sea, pay a few dollars more but well worth it.

Oceanfront view was priceless. The beds were beyond need of replacing which yielded several poor nights rest.

This hotel was wonderful considering what we paid to stay. The only problems were that the elevators were messed up..at least one of them wasn't working per day and when you are staying on the 12th floor that can be a problem. The power also went out the second day we were there and I have to admit it was a little irritating. Other than that, it was a wonderfully located, beautifully maintained hotel and we will definitely stay there again!

the room was awesome. the elevators were a little slow and the parking across the street but really no complaints. the views were great, the beds comfortable, rooms were spacious and clean. 2 balconies per room, full kitchen with almost any pot or utensil you would need. could walk to many attractions. I would defiantly stay again and refer others to this resort as well.

The only bad thing I can say about this hotel is no outdoor pool...The hotel staff were great... Our room was very clean... I would stay here again...

the elevators didnt want to work on the 4th floor but overall was a great place to stay, everyone was very friendly.

We stayed 3 nights at the one bedroom with a full kitchen with double view of the ocean and the city. The room feels brand new, very clean. We are very satisfied.

The overall hotel conditions were fine. In late September, (due to lack of seasonal demands), the staff is very low which leads to less than quick response to visitors needs, rooms that not completely serviced daily, and poor accessibility of certain conveniences such as luggage carts. Cable tv service was limited to mostly local channels advertising restaurants and entertainment. I must also note that those who were attending guest needs were very pleasant and helpful despite the work load they were presented with. Bottom line, the hotel was very nice, I enjoyed my stay, great ammenities, good price, and I would come back under the same circumstances.

Great staff, Clean rooms, beautiful views from the side if you are on the higher levels of the hotel. The pools seem more kid-friendly than for adults. There is no outside pools just small sprinkler-type area for the kids. The hot tub was nice! The beds, not overly comfortable, but still able to sleep in them. This is a Great hotel for the price!! Definitely better than I expected!

The Bay View Resort was a great place to stay! Not only was the price good, but it exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the oceanfront balcony was big. The room had a microwave, a separate sink from the bathroom sink, and a larger fridge than most hotels. We didn't even have to use our cooler the whole time. The pool area is awesome and the beach was easily accessible. I liked the fact that the parking garage could only be entered with a key card. The hotel is located on a section of beach without a lot of tall hotels beside it. There were a lot less people in that area than if you went down 5 or 6 blocks on the other side of the piers. This hotel would be great for a family vacation, or even for a couple getaway like we had.

Our stay at the Bay View was really great. We got a great deal and the room was really nice and the balcony was huge. It was also just a couple blocks from downtown one way and the amusement park the other way. The one problem was the elevators, it seemed that we spent alot of time waiting for them, there were only 3 and one was having issues about every day. I can imagine that in the summer when the hotel would be full it would be much worse. But other than that the stay was great, we had a really good time.

Outstanding Hotel

the best ever

My husband and I took a trip from Tuesday to Friday and enjoyed it so much! I was so happy with the staff and the condition of hotel all the way around. The only complaint that I had were the elevators...one broke early into our trip and the others were then overworked...but overall we really enjoyed ourselves!

This was a last minute choice and we were very surprised with how nice it was. My wife and I will be going back again!

The room was incredible for the price. Had issue with the TV and could not get the receptionist off the phone so that I could call. Continued to remain on phone until I went to front desk in person. Only at that time did she get off phone to resolve my issue. Other than that it was incredible.

I love the hotel, the rooms are great. I'd just be careful on the room selection next time I go. I paid for a ocean view and I got a side view on the second level, which was also a downer. If you book a room here and your a big family then get the A-B rooms together that way you don't have to worry about being stared down by complete strangers if you order food. But my overall stay was great considering the price. I really loved the location of the hotel to the attractions. Oh and before I go, Make sure you don't park on the side of the hotel cause the meter maid will ticket to quick out there. I will be staying there again on my next visit to Myrtle Beach.

The hotel was very close to the beach and the 501 highway. The elevators take forever sometimes because there are around 20 floors. It is a good hotel if you just need somewhere to sleep. The parking is in a parking garage across the street which is nice because you need a card to get in. The view was nice too.

I loved my stay at Bay View Resort. The room was very clean and comfortable. The rooms amenities were excellent. The Hotels/resorts amenities on a whole were outstanding. What I got greatly exceeded my expectations for the price that I paid. I would highly recommend this hotel/resort to anyone.

It's great when it comes to being close to the ocean, and the room and view were great, but don't stay here if you're hoping to have a nice pool. It's indoor only and super small. We went through about six key cards too. For some reason they just kept not working. The room was super clean though and nice. The ocean access was great too.

This is a good hotel to stay in Myrtle beach, depending on what you are looking for, nothing Fancy, but hotel is new, room is clear, kitchen has everything you might need.. elevators are few and slow, specially during busy hours.. but overall, I will stay back there next time. If the good rates are kept.

We have stayed here before and will return, Hotel is new, clean, everything works , prices are affordable and closer to everything. Elevators are sometime crowded and slow. The wireless internet can also be very very slow, depending on the room you are.

First of all the hotel was very nice but the elevators were slow and my rooms were not clean at check in time. Other than that I love it!!
