Red Roof Inn & Suites Wytheville - Wytheville

We chose this hotel because it was listed as having a microwave and refrigerator. We were splitting up a 15 hour drive and booked a queen, nonsmoking room. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the only room available had 2 double beds. I'm not sure if it was smoking or not, but my comforter smelled like an ashtray. There was no microwave […] or refrigerator. I had to use ice and a trash can to keep the milk and food items we had cold. Breakfast was an absolute joke. There were frosted flakes and some muffins. No bread, fruit, etc. I had brought my own oatmeal (hence wanting the microwave and refrigerator), but there was no microwave in the breakfast room either. I also had english muffins with me because of the long trip, but there wasn't even a toaster. The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating which was great, but the false advertising and lack of even a microwave in the entire hotel is ridiculous. Read more

This hotel has been updated and the rooms were clean and nice. You won't get a lot of extras though. Our room had NO coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, iron or anything like that in it. Shampoo is in individual portions in paper wrappers. The pool was filled in with dirt and there is just a grass area there now. I assume whomever is running this hotel […] is accounting everything down to a penny. Even with all the non-extras I would stay here again if I was passing through and it was just to sleep for a night, however if I were wanting to stay for any length of time I would look at a hotel with a more amenities. This is a nice place to stop and stay on your way to the beach. The staff was extremely friendly even at midnight! Most importantly the room was very clean. The hotel is easy to find right of the highway. I will stay there again next summer on our way to the beach.

The door would not lock when we tried to leave so after we moved everything in we had to stay in room. Locks on inside were sufficient for safety but we had planned on going out to look around and were afraid our things would be stolen. They said there was no maintenance person on duty and that we could move to another room but we had just taken everything […] in and my husband said we would just stay there. I stayed here on my drive thru because it was cheap and said the rooms had fridges. (I had cooler items to keep cold.) NO FRIDGE in my room. The hotel is run down but clean. The room had that old, musty smell - especially the bathroom. Just remember you get what you pay for.

Room clean and bed comfortable. We arrived late and left early so this hotel met are needs. We did miss some of the amenities like a hair dryer, coffee maker, goodmicrowave, or small refrigerator. If you are just passing through this is a good choice.

The hotel was very easy to get to. Room was very clean. Beds were a bit hard price was right for an overnight stop. Continental breakfast could include cereal and milk for kids.

The breakfast needs to be kicked up in terms of offerings and quality. I like red roof inn but other hotels in that price range offer a far better breakfast. The coffe was hours old andthe pastries were barely thawed. Some fruit,cereal and bagel/ toast option would be enough. I'll stay at RedRoof again but it's time for you to step it up.
