"Forum motor inn"
the motol located about a block from the beach & the boardwalk & close to the music pier, was pretty much what we expected in a family oriented town such as Ocean City,NJ. The outdoor pool was well kept, & a bonus, as many of the other motels in the area did not have one. nothing fancy about this motel, but clean & comfortable for a weekend stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice clean hotel. We stopped for couple nights to relax and swim in the ocean. Neat great customer service. Room was clean had fridge and microwave. Nothing to complaint about. 3 minutes walk from the beach and boardwalk. Ocean City is a dry town. It is best place to be kids but for adults only tge attraction was ocean. Price on food better in the city […] or even hotels restaurant. I would recomend this hotel.
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We have stayed at other properties in OC and this was the best. We did a quick last-minute stay and I am so happy we were able to get a room. The staff was VERY accomodating. We got in very early and even though we could not check in, they gave us beach tags and a parking pass as well as access to the changing rooms and shower. We were able to spend the day at the beach without having to worry about parking and freshening up. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were delicously soft and there was plenty of room for all of our things. I especially enjoyed the street-facing balcony. It was great for people-watching. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is a quick walk to the beach and across the street from the bicycle rentals. I didn't have a chance to get in the pool but the pool area looked nice and not cramped like some of the other pools in the area. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would absolutley stay here again.

Stayed here over 4th of July weekend. Was a great location - only a block from the boardwalk and beach. Free parking for 1 car per hotel - which is great. We parked our 2nd car a couple blocks away. Wish this hotel and others would give the number of beach tags with the number of people registered, but the staff was friendly and said sometimes people leave beach tags that haven't expired with front desk and offered one to us which covered a 3rd person for a day. Nice size large room, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this motel to others.
"Ocean City at its finest!"

The Forum Motor Inn is a great place for a family weekend in OCNJ. Great location, friendly staff, exceptionally clean and well cared for. You don't go to Ocean City looking for a tall, chain hotel, you go there so you can give your family the same memories you had as a child and the Forum Motor Inn is happy to provide. The pool is great for the kids - AND the adults! I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and about how well the hotel in maintained. I travel frequently for business so I've stayed at my fair share of hotels and the Forum is immaculate. Kudos!

"Clean, well run Motel."

My husband and I stayed for three nights last week for the first time. The staff at the front desk is very pleasant and helpful. Our room was a King room on the third floor. The woman who booked our stay said this would be private and quiet, and it was. The beds are VERY comfortable. The bathroom is small, but clean and a nice shower pressure. The Motel is very convenient to the beach and and ice cream parlor and breakfast spots. My complaint is that the rooms are dark ( need more lights or brighter light bulbs) and we had some trouble with the internet service. We did get on, but it was slow and bumped me off sometimes. It may be worth paying for an upgraded service and see if the internet works better. I think the fee would be $3.00 per day for upgraded service. The pool was nice . The restaurant below the hotel will bring you food/drinks out to the pool area. Kind of makes it feel like you are at a resort! For the money, this place is very good.
"Convenient Family run hotel"

The rooms were very clean with a closet and room for luggage. We also asked for a rollaway bed which was provided at no extra fee. There was a cafe attached to the hotel which was very convenient and also provided food to go. Later in the day, I saw they provided poolside service. Our room had a small refrigerator and microwave that was placed on a stand so you had to bend over to reach it. But I was glad to have the refrigerator. The room had two entrances - one to the balcony over the pool and another to an inside corridor. ( I like being able to enter my room from the inside- most OC motels only have an outside entrance) I was surprised that we didn't hear much noise even though we were in the end room by the elevator, ice machine and stairs and a busy street. The motel is centrally located- go one direction for the Asbury Avenue shopping and more importantly only a few blocks from the beach and boardwalk. The Forum provided two beach tags. It was fun to go to the beach and then come back to the hotel and still go swimming in the pool. Although we had a regular room they also had a limited number of suites available which would be better for a stay beyond a weekend. Each room has one parking spot (and a fee for additional cars). I found out there was also parking across the street- it was easier to get in and out of that lot. The front desk was very helpful.

We've stayed at the Forum several times over the past ten years. The fact that we returned says that we liked it. The staff was friendly and the rooms were neat and clean. The hotel is close to the beach and the downtown area. It does tend to get crowded during the summer, so plan ahead.
"Good place for a short visit"
07/15/14 vollmer1 Saint Marys, Pennsylvania
We needed a place for 1 night at the beach. I choose this place based solely on the ratings from tripadvisor and price. Ocean City, NJ doesn't have any chain hotels to choose from so its hard to know what you are getting into. The location is within a short (5 minute) walking distance to the beach and boardwalk and there is a little restaurant within the place. The kiddie pool is a great feature for families with smaller children. The grounds and room were VERY clean BUT everything is very narrow. The beds are not comfortable, its outdated in the rooms and bathroom (no room for anything in the bathroom) and its very noisy at night outside of the rooms. I wouldn't stay for an extended time but good for a short visit. Front desk is SUPER nice!!!!!
"Review of Forum Motor Lodge in Ocean City New Jersey"

I have stayed at this particular hotel for 3 summers and I have been totally impressed with the accominations, pool, cafe, parking, and staff. Holly, Merideth, and the other gentlemen at the front desk as well as the house keepers are excellent at their jobs and they are always friendly, professional, and willing to do whatever the customer needs. They don't just preach customer satisfaction- they live it. All the staff members greet me with a smile and a hello. This is a first-rate hotel in every sense. The prices are always very reasonable.
"Good Affordable Option for OCNJ"

Stayed for 2 nights last week of June. Needed a hotel with pool for a quick getaway to the shore before the rush of peak season. People at the front desk were nice, friendly, and welcoming. Check in was quick and room was ready when we arrived. Carpet was clean, bedding was clean. Looked like new comforters no stains or dirt. Beds are firm. We like a firm bed so it was to our preference. The pillows are flat either bring one or double them up. The room is not the latest and greatest decor trend that you would find in a luxury hotel but it is still comfortable. The pool was clean. It is not heated so being early in the season it was cold but we were hot after riding bikes that morning on the boardwalk so it can be refreshing. Depends on personal preference. I felt the price was about right for amenties provided and location. I don't think I would pay peak season prices to stay here however, not sure I would ever pay peak season prices for any type of accomodations at the south Jersey beaches. The location is excellent! On 8th St about 2 blocks from the boardwalk and beach. The amusement rides are a short walk and Manco's and Manco's is right at the entrance to the boards. Varsity is across the street and has excellent breakfast. There is a cafe onsite for convenience but we have our favorite spots that we always like to hit while in town so we did not try there. Hobby Horse ice cream is on the corner across the street and it is delicious must try for evening snack. Bike rentals are also across the street.
