This place has several health risks both on the rooms and on the kitchen...avoid at all costs....I still have a congested chest from one night there... This is three days later.... Moldy is the best single word to describe this place... There are much better places to stay on Samui

With the rooms we stayed in the Deluxe Hotel Wing, the showers were terrible. The temperature of the water would be at our ideal and would then suddenly go super hot (which would burn), this would cycle constantly until we were done with each shower session. Overall the hotel was nice. The manager organised activities (mini full moon party, seafood nights and traditional dance etc) which was good for the guests to enjoy. With a little bit more elbow grease it would be perfect. There is a swim up bar but it was not in operation at the time. The room we stayed in was big and comfortable but there was a constant […] droning noise coming from below us, which I guess was the water pump because each time the pump cut in the shower ran boiling hot then freezing, there was not a constant temperature to the water. The Internet connection from the room was not the best but they do have a computer lounge where you can have coffee and cake and use their Internet and computers for free. The pools are good, the large pool on the otherside of the hotel was big and always crystal clear and not too many people around. Overall it was a good hotel and a nice, quiet area to stay. I was happy with my stay here. This is a boutique style hotel with suites, a bonus to have a living area in the room. Most importantly, it was excellent value for money! Breakfast was disappointing and the pool is small. Other than that, i was satisfied with basic facilities, decor and surroundings.

Hotellet i seg selv var svært bra, men sengene må være fra steinalderen. Slik kjentes det i hvert fall ut, som å sove på stein. Dessuten ligger det nokså avsides. Ville nok ikke valgt å bo her igjen.

Stayed for 4 nights in peak season. The hotel seemed way too big compared to number of guests. Royal wing pool was abandoned and there were no activities around Royal wing. Beach pool was very nice and had a nice sea view. Fitness equipment rusty and warn out. No good at all. Restaurant and breakfast was ok. Zu Beginn muss ich von den beiden direkt an der Hauptstraße liegenden Royal Wings insbesondere für lärmempfindliche Personen abraten (auf Nachfrage wurde uns direkt eine alternatives Zimmer im ruhigen Hauptgebäude angeboten). Das von uns bewohnte Deluxe-Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Kritikpunkte wären die recht laute AC sowie die nicht vorhandenen […] Tür- und Fensterdichtungen (Klebeband nicht vergessen). Ansonsten wirkt die Anlage sehr gepflegt. Die Wasserqualität der Pools ist verbesserungsfähig und sollte regelmäßiger überprüft werden (insbesondere die des großen Pools zwischen den Hauptgebäuden), da die Augen beim Abtauchen direkt gebrannt haben. Positiv hervorzuheben ist der kostenlose Transportservice nach Chaweng (bitte auch mal daran denken den Fahrer zu tippen). Alles in allem eine tolle Anlage an einem der schönsten Strände von Koh Samui. Read more

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit der Wahl des Samui Palm Beach Resorts. Die Zimmer sind sauber, schön und vorallem groß. Es gibt insgesamt 3 Pools, wobei der Hauptpool mit seiner Länge aber mit Sicherheit der schönste ist, da man hier richtig schön seine Bahnen schwimmen kann. Der Strand ist ebenfalls schön und vorallem ruhig. Sehr gut fanden wir das […] die Liegen am Strand nicht aufgereit da standen, sondern eher einzeln verteilt waren. Dies war für uns ein sehr großer Wohlfühlfaktor, da man so nicht ständig vom Liegennachbarn durch Telefonieren...gestört wurde. Insgesamt ist das Hotel wohl eher etwas für Ruhe suchende. Wobei man in 5 Minuten in Fisherman´s Village und 15 Minuten mit dem Roller am Chaweng Beach ist. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen :-) Read more

I stayed here with my mother in August 2012. We found the hotel on Expedia, we liked the the descriptions, pictures and seemingly attractive price. On arrival it was quite different. The room was not at all what we saw on the pictures, older furniture, ground floor, no balcony, old TV, generally dark room. The pictures for this particular type of room […] advertised flat LCD TV, balcony with a garden view, modern furniture, light interiors, etc. Free Wi-Fi in the room was also supposed to be included. Well, the hotel does not have public Wi-Fi at all, only cards at very high price. Breakfast was outrageously priced, and not at all of any quality. Dirty beach, too few sun umbrellas, and very few sunbeds with covers. Quite different from the ads and pictures. Then, the main pool was under renovation and closed. No massage and no bar at the pool. In general, the hotel gives a very poor impression, the operator is trying to save on everything, even bath supplies, etc. The reception staff was not at all friendly. In fact, a receptionist actually shouted at us and was ignoring us when we tried to complain about the room. After much arguing, we managed to find the manager, and 5 days after, they actually gave us different room better fitting the description. The receptionists were still ignoring us even then. Quite an incredible experience. We will never stay there again, and not recommend anyone staying there. Read more

I travelled alone and stayed here. I think for couples this hotel will be fine and enjoyful as the hotel building gives an old nostalgic feeling and history. As for me, it would be better to be nearer to the busiest and bustling districts where restaurants and bars are easilly accessable.

staying at the hotel for 3 nights, room is large, may be because of low season, they have arrange a room which is just next to the pool, really NICE. before the trip, i have read some bad comment about the hotel, so have a little bit worry about my stay. Fortunately, the problem actually is not a big deal, only the swimming pool do need to be renovate […] as its get hurt easily. trip is planned at teh end of May, so a very low season in Koh Samui, not much people in the hotel and on the beach too, so i can have more spacious for relax . GOOD! Location is next to Bophut beach and it takes 20 mins. drive to Chaweng, its acceptable and at night time, you can just walk along the beach and look for a dinner place on the beach, great!!! Wir waren für 4 Nächte in Palm Beach Resort und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Zwar war zu der Jahreszeit (September) sehr wenig los und einige Restaurants und Bars waren im Hotel deshalb geschlossen, aber alles andere war perfekt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Bett wird sogar zwei Mal am Tag gemacht und man bekommt Strandtücher […] und auch sonstige Pflegeprodukte. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und lecker. Wir hatten ein Deluxe Zimmer (also die billigste Alternative), mit Terasse, direkt am riesigen Pool, der sich am Gebäude entlang schlängelt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, mit Riesenbett und schöner Sitzmöbel. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Hotelanlage! Einziger Nachteil war, dass das Hotel am Bophut Strand liegt, da ist das Wasser weniger klar. Uns hat der Chaweng Beach besser gefallen... Aber dafür ist es da ruhiger. Wenn ihr aber sowieso ein Hotel am Bophut Beach sucht, dann würde ich dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Read more
