"Bra valuta for pengene..."

"Good and comfortable staying"
07/09/15 raftan Rome, Italy
Joined "Roomz" during a biz trip to Vienna. Location is very close to Gazometer and it's perfect hotel if your company is nearby, Breafast is on average, staff is kind and professional. Metro station is close to hotel as well (10 minutes to city centre)

"Worth The deal"

On a business trip I stayed here for 5 days. The hotel is just 2 mins walk to Gasometer station where you can take U3 to reach central Vienna. The rooms are a bit small for 2 people. Breakfast if also good with enough options. The hotel staff is fluent in English. Great wifi. I think overall for the price this Hotel is worth the Deal.

"Convenient, simple and low cost"

I always stay here when visit for business due to excellent value and convenient location. I was glad to see the carpeting had been replaced in the room I said in and the TV had been upgraded since last visit. It now also has Wi-Fi in the room, BUT it suppresses VPN connections - that is a big no-no for a hotel wishing to make business travelers happy... please change this!

"Functional hotel for a short stay"

It Is really a budget (for Vienna) business hotel, providing nice sleep in somehow basic, but clean rooms with a bit of modern touch. The bathrooms are relatively spacious. The reception staff reacts professionally. I didn’t try the breakfast. The location is not downtown Vienna, but it is near to underground station (Gasometer on U3).

"Trendy yet simple hotel- Met most of our needs "

We stayed at the Roomz Hotel on our trip from Groupon. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. There is an outdoor patio and bar that serves drinks 24 hours a day. The restaurant food was very good. The rooms were very clean, with great water pressure in the shower. The hotel is close to the Gasometer station, which is about 7 stops on the U from Stephansplatz.

"Modern, business or sightseeing."

The information desk at airport didnt readily know this hotel so we took a taxi costing €30 but found our way back by underground with just one change. Don't be put off by first impression as you arrive. The area is not as you would expect for a holiday hotel. Inside it is very modern. Rooms are basic - no armchair in ours but linen is fresh with choice of pillows and bathroom/shower clean. No extras there but a wall fixed liquid soap with same in shower. The breakfast is good with plenty of choice. This hotel is 3 mins walk from Gasometer underground station which takes you to City centre. Here there is no ticket office just a machine. We firstly bought single journey tickets for just over 2euros each. But later discovered that as we are over 61 we could buy ONE (yes ONE) Senior ticket for 2 journeys costing €2.80 and this took us both into the Centre. Don't buy a concession ticket as this is for children and dogs! A handy hotel for sightseeing after a good night's sleep and satisfying breakfast. There are a few shops and eateries nearby at the converted gasometer - you have to see to believe - not like UK gasometers!

"Very acceptable hotel"

I spent two nights as part of a package that included visits, trips and lodging through different cities in Europe. And having come from a huge dissapointment (another hotel in another city), I found Rommz was perfect for me. Let's see. Some minor objections: it would be a good idea to have the coffee/chocolate machine used for breakfast turned on after 10 pm in the bar, or at least a complimentary coffee tray in the room, because if you are tired and cold to and it is, let's say, 11 pm and you just want a cup of coffee, it is not possible to have it at the hotel. And in the bathroom area in the rooms, it would be a good idea to have a kind of shelf in the shower to put for instance my own shampoo and the hair conditioner. And the place to leave clothes with the hangers is a bit too smail (although for me that was not a problem, as I was alone in the room and did not want to unpack anyway). Things that I liked: the hotel does not pretend to be a 4 or 5 star place, it is simple, clean and honest. I liked the space of the shower in the room and having so many plugs (counted six in my room). And the most important thing for me: it is a silent place, and I really treasure silence when I rest. As for the wi fi issue I have to admit that, as I did not use it, I do not know if it works properly. By the way, I appreciated the computer with Internet access near the front desk that could be used for free. I would defintively return if I ever have the chance to do a similar trip again.

"Cheap and modern"

Nice hotel, cheap price and modern design. Nice room, clean and good position Good Breakfast, lot of different things to choose from. Easy parking outside the hotel. Even if listed as a budget hotel, nothing to say about quality and design : nice indeed !

"Very clean, very quiet, nice bedding."

We stayed here for two nights. This was part of a package trip so I cannot speak to the cost. It's listed as a budget hotel but I believe it's a little more pricey than what I would consider budget. We were very happy with our stay. Comfy bedding, clean, modern rooms, good breakfast. It was located close to the underground.

"A serious contender for Vienna's wooden spoon award"
02/06/15 tilox Vienna, Austria
The building seems new and the rooms are clean. That’s the only compliment I can give this hotel. Roomz promotes itself as a budget hotel. At $100 a night and upwards, I’d say that, price-wise, this is a mid-range hotel, not a budget one. The only thing that’s “budget” in this hotel is the customer service. Location-wise, the Roomz is good if you are visiting the Gasometer quarter of Vienna. If your places of interest are outside Gasometer, in downtown Vienna for example, the Roomz is just too far away. My room had no cupboard or wardrobe. Perhaps it’s Roomz’s idea of time-saving: because there’s no cupboard, you can’t really unpack. Leave all your stuff in your bag or suitcase.BTW, there’s no fridge or minibar in the room either. The bathroom is small-ish, and hardly any bathroom amenities are provided. Bring with you whatever you need. If you need Roomz’s laundry service, you’re up for a nasty surprise. Washing a T-shirt, for example, would cost you €9, or around $11. And 3 days a week, from Friday 9am to the end of Sunday, it’s 50% more, i.e. around $16.50. About the same price as buying a new T-shirt. Please note that this is the price for simple washing of a T-shirt – no dry cleaning, no ironing. But what’s really poor in this hotel is the customer service. If you ask Reception an easy question, one that they know the answer to from the top of their head, you’ll get a quick reply. But if you need anything that requires Reception staff to make an enquiry or find some information for you – forget it. Suppose you wanted to know, as I did, where you could buy something. Reception staff would then come up with all excuses under the sun why they can’t help you. And you’ll see in their body language that they just want you, and your query, to go away ASAP. Oh, and they do it very politely. During my stay at Roomz I haven’t spoken to all hotel staff, but this attitude, of doing the minimum possible, seemed pervasive across all those that I did, and across all functions – reservations, reception and housekeeping. Particularly egregious was a lady called Natalie. It is unusual to meet someone working in a customer facing role, who so demonstrably could not care less when a customer needs assistance. And just in case you wondered what “egregious” means – it means “outstandingly bad”. My advice is – find another hotel.
