"Comfortable room in a super location"

"10 Year Anniversary"
Everything was nice and fine and in good condition, but the Hotel is a little older, maybe built in the 50's or 60's and our room smelled a little stuffy, but not horrible. Our room had weak Wifi signal, we could connect, but just barely and it kept dropping out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet, Comfortable and Terrific Location"
We were very comfortable for three nights. Never used our car after arriving because of the convenient location. The wi-fi was many times faster than even the most premium hotels. "Romantic Weekend Getaway"

We enjoyed our stay at the Carmel Lodge. We were in the older section of the hotel and the rooms were much smaller than the room we stayed in last time. I felt that the housekeeping should have done a more thorough job cleaning preparing for the next guests. Found a used tissue under a table & a used towel on a bathroom door hook. "Great location. Basic amenities"
Superb location. Reasonably ean, but very basic. Essentially an in town motel. Barely adequate water pressure. Old school tv had poor reception. Not bad for one night, but no frills. Nice bed, new linens, but very old, a bit grimy, tiny TV with very few viewable channels. Carpet seemed a bit gross. "Last minute hotel/motel"
Bed was comfortable, Room was clean, bathroom clean but terribly small, (Think European). It's an old motel / hotel but convenient location. The hotel was clean, room size good, but everything else just ok, especially considering the price. I wanted a hotel where I could have my dog, and they did accommodate that, but another $35/night was added for that, on top of what to me was an already high price for an ok room. The hotel location is fabulous, right across the street from Casanova restaurant, right on the edge of the gallery district. The beach at the end of Ocean street is just a couple of blocks away.
