This is a great place to stay. This is my second year at Whitewater. I used to stay at The Lodge at Big Sky - also an outstanding hotel. However, Whitewater is half the price of The Lodge. I took advantage of a 3 nights for the cost of two promotional and was very satisfied. Beds, bedding and carpet all appear new. Could use some new light fixtures--old and hard to operate. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Owned by Boyne Resorts, so there are some built-in percs available when skiing at nearby Big Sky.

I selected the hotel because of what I thought was its close proximity to the west entrance to Yellowstone and the pool with a water slide. The hotel is 45 minutes north of West Yellowstone and the pool was so cold that we couldn't get in. Although the hot tub was heated, it was dirty, as was our room. A large bug crawled across my son, waking him, […] and sending us on a bug hunt at 1am. I pulled the bed back from the wall and found all kinds of garbage under it, including someone's portable electronic game that had falled behind the headboard. I moved the coffee maker on the countertop and there was significant dirt under it too. When was the last time this facility, including its pool, was thoroughly deep cleaned? On the way to West Entrance of Yellostone National Park. 40 miles from it. Very new and clean room. Very nice bedding. Swiming pool has waterslider. Breakfast is good enough for the price. 3 days or more stay will make room rate lower. You can buy food at the gas station near by. Much less expensive than to stay in the National Park.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I expected the rooms to be out-dated, but they looked really good and were well-furnished. The location is beautiful with great access to Big Sky and to Yellowstone National Park. The beds were plush and soft and there were more than enough pillows. The pool area was alright. The waterslide makes quite a bit of noise, but obviously this feature is geared towards families with children, not childless couples. The hot tub was roomy, but not nearly hot enough--at times seeming to match the temperature of the pool itself. The staff were very pleasant and helpful during our entire stay. it features a large swimming pool and water slider, and also hot tub, which is really fun for a family visit. very close to yellowstone west entrance but not as expensive as the hotels at the west entrance. the room looks clean but I did see small bugs, along the edge of the carpet at the bathroom door.

The hotel room was much better then what I was expecting, very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable. I am doing a 14 days road trip and so far this hotel had the best continental breakfast everything was fresh. If I am in the area I will stay at the same hotel again.

This isn't a 5 star hotel, but neither is the price. My kids loved the pool and the water was warmer than any other hotel we stayed at on this trip. Breakfast buffet was adequate - cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee and tea. it is actually right at Big Sky, though the address does not say Big Sky. 46 miles to Yellow stone west gate (or West Yellow Stone, and 35 miles to Highway 90 at Belgrade or Boezman. I was interested in hotel near Yellowstone National Park - West entrance. Hotel was almost 60 to 70 minutes drive from the west entrance. Going to the national park park and coming back to the hotel involved about 3 hours of time and about $20-$30 in gas per day. I thought hotel was in a resort area and on the golf course. This was honestly the most incredible hotel experience that I have ever had. I cannot believe that it didn't cost more. The staff was wonderful, the room was clean, smelled fantastic, and had everything I could have asked for. The location was beautiful; we saw a bull moose run across the road not too far from the hotel. There is horseback riding next […] door, and a wonderful grocery store just couple miles away while still being set in a remote location. The water slide at the hotel was the highlight of the stay for my kids; they were there every morning when it opened and back again every night until close. The beds were so comfortable that I'm going to contact the hotel to find out the mattress that they use to get one for myself. Decent place, good location from the village, a short mountain drive to Bozeman. The front desk manager was slightly rude, but he was good at his job so I can't quite complain. Our stay at the whitewater inn hotel was awful. When we checked into our room the first day there was poop in the toilet, pubic hairs in the shower. The Kleenex box was empty. There was no smoke detector, the shower head in the shower hurt you it was stinging my body. The coffee pot had left over water in it from someone else, they didn't clean up the […] coffee mess. The second day all they did was make our beds and give us more clean towels. they didnt clean anything our housekeeper was kevin he apparently doesnt know how to clean very well.
