"Best price, nothing fancy."
Our stay was great, however a few things were a miss. I'm not picky when it comes to a hotel, as I usually choose by price. The breakfast service was very bad, but could be an easy fix with a bit better foresight by managment. Basically there just wasnt enough food ready for the amount of costomers (which there were not many of). The pool was brilliant […] for the kids, lots of fun had on the slide. With a bit of repair and better management this hotel would be top notch, for the price. Either way for the price per night I paid, I would not hesitate to book there again. "Just what I needed."
I had to go to Bozeman for tests and this place offered the serenity I needed to calm my nerves. The staff was so helpful and friendly, the area offered great places to eat and have fun, and everything was easy to find.Genuine Expedia guest review
Would stay again inside is a lot nicer then it looks outside. The breakfast was okay the two days I stayed they were out of coffee. Didn't feel up the eggs and other thingamajig offered. And no one was there to clean up the tables when people got done eating. Other then that it was great. Pool and hot tub were great.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Comfortable, affordable stay near Yellowstone"
My friend and I stayed three nights at the Whitewater Inn. We used it as a point of departure to visit Bozeman, the north end of Yellowstone National Park, and Lone Mountain (in Big Sky). The staff are friendly and helpful. They were quick to replenish the continental breakfast supplies when needed. We did not use the pool facilities, so we can't comment […] on them. If you don't like stairs, be sure to ask for a room on the entry level, as they have no elevator to either the lower floor (1st floor) or the upper level (3rd floor). Be prepared to drive the scenic 46 miles south to West Yellowstone, Montana to enter the park. All in all, it was a good, comfortable, and affordable option for our southern Montana and Yellowstone adventures for a few days. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was very clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Took about an hour to get to Yellowstone. Only thing I believe they could improve is the breakfast. it would be good to have waffles and eggs. however, it was adequate. Had dry cereal and oatmeal, muffins, and English muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit, bananas, apples, oranges. […] All in all a very nice hotel. thepool was wonderful kept 2 10 yr olds busy for hours. breakfast wasn't the greatest but the coffee was good. close to the park only about 30 min.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our 2 day stay very much. It was the most reasonable rate this close to Yellowstone. The location was beautiful, We enjoyed the free parking, free breakfast, free wifi & laundry facilities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice family hotel."
Very nice place. We stayed here on our trip to Yellowstone. It was about a 45 minute drive from the park, but it was well worth it to save some money on hotels. Breakfast was slim on selection, but was ok. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good beds for overnight stay"
Traveling to Yellowstone and needed a place to spend the night. This fit the bill with comfortable beds. Only downside was coffee pot had not been washed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Adequate hotel, lied about it's location"
I was shocked when I arrived in West Yellowstone, called the hotel for directions, and found that it was 50 miles away! That's 100 miles that I had not planned to drive. I don't understand why it was listed as a West Yellowstone hotel. There were several families there who had several rooms and regarded the hall as a living room making the place very […] noisy, even well after midnight. The desk clerk was just short of nasty. A bad experience even though the hotel was clean and the bed comfortable Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room was somewhat clean, I found garbage under the bed and hair in the tub. The beds were clean and comfortable, it was quiet and nice. The pool and hot tub were great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"50 miles from Yellowstone"
This hotel is in Big Sky Montana, NOT Gallatin Gateway, which is 30 miles further north of Big Sky. The hotel front desk said they knew about that mistake from a different online booking site. So, this hotel has a nice location, on the South end of town, closer to the West Entrance of Yellowstone. Be aware if you stay elsewhere in Big Sky that GPS doesn't […] work in that area AND if you stay northwest of this place, you will do about 20 extra miles to get to your hotel because it is a ski resort town in the mountains. Pool has a 90' water slide and open until 11 pm which was great, since we ended up in the wrong town at first. Breakfast quarters was a little cramped, but OK. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Scenic Drive Between Hotel & Yellowstone West Gate"
Nice place to relax away from Yellowstone. Big Sky is low key with very local atmostphere. No chain restaurants in the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place, too bad is far away from Yellowstone"
Great all around, the pool is awesome, the service is great, and the remodeling is going great. The problem is that you have to travel between one to two hours to get to the park.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Industrial Area Aging Hotel Being Remodeled"
The hotel is showing its age, but has a nice pool with waterslide for the kids. The floor by the pool is very slippery and the potenial for falling is great as most kids did. The view out of the room was the wall of the storage units next store. The Fire alarm went off at 11:00 P.M. and everyone had to go outside as there was alot of confusion. The […] staff did not apoligize or mention the alarm at checkout. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Good stay, far from Yellowstone west entrance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The surrounding area is beautiful. We had a constant problem with our room key. It would unlock the door once and then never work again. Even after complaining multiple times nothing was done to move us to a different room or to have the lock fixed. Also, the breakfast was pretty weak. They had very little to offer and the service was horrible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay for location"
The Whitewater Inn is getting "tired" and needs to update the public areas. I think for the price of the rooms, the breakfast should be upgraded with more and better offerings. Our room was comfortable and quiet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is a nice bet if you are looking for a decent priced hotel , the hotel is 1 hour far away from west Yellow Stone entrance. The hotel is being renovated, you still get the paint smell right now in few locations , the swimming pool is well maintained. Except for the breakfast options which this place has , it's a nice place to stay !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The bed and shower were good. Breakfast is continental. If this is a good location for you, this hotel is a good choice.Genuine Expedia guest review

Everything is almost perfect there. The staff was very helpful. He switched us to a big two queen bedroom after we told him we have four person. We spent time in the pool and the hot tub too. "Inexpensive way to stay with comfort"
My family had a nice stay. My daughter enjoyed the water slide. The drive to Yellowstone is absolutely very scenic, and I love the view of the mountain behind the inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
We would not stay at this property again. We arrived late (11:30 p.m.) and with no elevator had to haul our luggage (3 bags) plus other items down a flight of stairs. The night clerk did assist but this persons was new and uncertain about how to use the computer so could not tell us for sure whether or not there were any rooms on the main floor. When […] we walked in the room the window was wide open and the temp in the room was probably in the 40's. My husband was bothered by the lack of cleanliness (primarily the carpet) in our room and the hotel generally. I was totally put off by the condition of the breakfast area. Much of the food was gone and there was a general lack of cleanliness. We were told that staff was being trained but that did not overcome the fact that I felt like I was staying in a guys' college dorm. I rarely rate a lodging property this poorly but Whitewater Inn needs a major infusion of training and oversight. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Finding a hotel close enough to Yellowstone with out breaking the bank was a challenge. This hotel was a nice fit for the distance and the money. "only book main floor...no basement!"
We booked two rooms, you would think they would be together or at least on same floor...nope. One on main floor and one in basement. One on main floor wonderful, one in basement terrible. Basement Rooms smelt like paint/must/smoke mix, not vacuumed, bathroom not cleaned, curtain hanging half down, beds had no dust ruffle just gross stained box spring […] and old faded bed covers, lights were so dim you could hardly see at night...just gross. Front staff at night worthless...I wouldnt recommend this place to my enemies. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Left wanting more..."
The Whitewater Inn in Gallatin Gateway was under construction while we were there. All of the base boards were removed and the hotel reeked of paint. The painters could be found in rooms throughout the third floor, slamming doors at all hours of the day. In addition, they chose to smoke just outside of the east entrance and we had to re-route several […] times to avoid the second hand smoke. Further, our room, while mostly clean, could have used more attention to detail. There were hairs and build up in the corners of the bathroom. We asked for extra regular coffee, and it was not delivered that day, and we had to go down again and ask the front desk for coffee. The "continental breakfast" is a joke. Bagels, Boiled Eggs, Yogurt, little or no fruit, and cereal - which is hit or miss. The first day, an Asian tour bus wiped out all of the so called breakfast, leaving nothing for my wife who was attending a conference in Big Sky that morning. The second morning, there was four apples, some bagels, boiled eggs, and one box of Total cereal. My 3 year old was not impressed. We decided to go to the grocery and purchase our own breakfast items for the next morning. While this was a good value in comparison to rates in Big Sky, we will go ahead and spend the extra dollars the next time around to stay in a higher caliber hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool slide was nice for the kids, however, the pool heater was broken. It was quite cold. Great place to stay. This hotel was a refreshing break in an otherwise extremely long day. The desk clerk, Rich, was cordial, friendly, and helpful. we had a ton of fun at the pool/waterslide great hotel for family fun!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
The last time me and my wife stayed at this hotel was 10 years ago (a Comfort Inn?). Then it was very nice and well kept, but now the rooms need a major cleaning. When the cleaners came daily, they only seemed to care about making sure there was toilet paper, and the beds were made. The pool needed to be cleaned, as the water seemed a little green and […] there was some scum along one of the walls. The continental breakfast was okay. As far as the staff goes, two of the young women we encountered were very nice. One of the men (can't remember his name) could not seem to get along with other staff members as I seen him belittling one of the girls I referenced above. I also heard him apologize to other guests about an argument he had with another staff member. I don't believe he was any kind of manager, but think he wished he was one. Anyway, for the price we paid, the stay was fair. It goes to show, you get what you pay for... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Amazing staff, overall great stay"
The staff was great. Phenn at the front desk made sure we were happy and taken care of. The housekeeping team was a great group as well, friendly and professional and took pride in their work. "WHAT A GREAT HOTEL!"
This is a great place to stay. This is my second year at Whitewater. I used to stay at The Lodge at Big Sky - also an outstanding hotel. However, Whitewater is half the price of The Lodge. The breakfast is good and filling, the beds are great, the staff is VERY attentive friendly and helpful, the pool and hot tub are nice , and the 10 minute drive up […] the mountain is easy and very scenic. I took advantage of a 3 nights for the cost of two promotional and was very satisfied. Beds, bedding and carpet all appear new. Could use some new light fixtures--old and hard to operate. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Owned by Boyne Resorts, so there are some built-in percs available when skiing at nearby Big Sky.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Needs deep clean"
I selected the hotel because of what I thought was its close proximity to the west entrance to Yellowstone and the pool with a water slide. The hotel is 45 minutes north of West Yellowstone and the pool was so cold that we couldn't get in. Although the hot tub was heated, it was dirty, as was our room. A large bug crawled across my son, waking him, […] and sending us on a bug hunt at 1am. I pulled the bed back from the wall and found all kinds of garbage under it, including someone's portable electronic game that had falled behind the headboard. I moved the coffee maker on the countertop and there was significant dirt under it too. When was the last time this facility, including its pool, was thoroughly deep cleaned? The hotel has great potential but it needs to pay attention to details. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good price for very good room!"
On the way to West Entrance of Yellostone National Park. 40 miles from it. Very new and clean room. Very nice bedding. Swiming pool has waterslider. Much less expensive than to stay in the National Park.Genuine Expedia guest review
