The Commons Hotel & Suites - Denver Tech Center - Englewood

The hotel was very reasonably priced, and the room was minimally equiped as the price would suggest. We paid very little money, but we got a comfortable bed, a flat screen tv, and a bathroom. We were very comfortable and the hotel is very conveniently located. We will go back.

We could not be more pleased with this hotel. It has a charming atmosphere, and the property makes you feel like you are staying at a High End Condo in a Mountain Like setting. This two room suite was perfect for my daughter, her friend and myself to have a brother free sleepover. I was disappointed that breakfast was not served on Sunday mornings. Convenient location near 25 or 225, Park Meadows Mall, short hop to South Broadway or Downtown. NO elevator, but all other amenities we needed including comfortable king size bed, refrigerator, microwave, Internet etc. Excellent employee response to what turned out to be a minor issue (housekeeping had overlooked cleaning drawer in bathroom vanity with […] personal effects left by previous guest); housekeeping immediately came to clean it. We declined their nice offer to immediately change our room. Property is somewhat run-down dated but serviceable.We made sure that employees documented and we recorded the wear-and-tear to fixtures/furnishings as we were charged an upfront damage deposit. Bad service. Was told I could check in anytime, and then the main office was locked when i got there. These are not suites in any sense of the word, just a converted apartment complexes. Hotel was great for the price. Room did have drywall issues by the doors and air conditioner was a little touchy. I have no problem climbing stairs but those with lots of luggage or medical issues might have a problem. Bed was very comfy,room was quiet and the price is fantastic. I would definitely stay again. Front desk was extremely friendly.

Main office is open only during the day and often instead of a person behind the desk there is a card: Will Be Back Shortly. We had to stop a couple of time to get a real person. If you realize that you are out of towels (our room had only enough for 2 persons) you have to go outside and walk or drive to the main office, and as long as you get there […] before 8PM they might have some fresh towels for you. However, we were only able to get 2 extra towels - the room was booked for 6. Also, the continental breakfast is not served on weekends - a fact that wasn't mentioned anywhere. We booked for 6 and we discovered that there was only 1 queen bed and 1 sleeper sofa - enough for 4 people. We had to squeeze 3 children on sofa bed and 2 adults and a child on the bed. It was hard to find a parking in front of the building we were staying - and there wasn't even space for unloading in front of the building. It was quite cold during our stay and the walkways were slippery. Also, we had a huge problems with turning knob in the entrance door - both from ourtside and inside. Advertises in room wi-fi. We had none. Old, analogue TV. Said we could get wi-fi access in the commons area. We could not. Made no effort to fix our in room wi-fi despite two calls . Nice place if you are okay with bad TV and no Internet access.

Just pass on this hotel. It wasn't just a hotel it's also an apartment complex. Could hear all the neighbors and parties going on. Then the construction going on in the morning. Parking was very bad. Had to park at the back of the complex every night due to limited parking. Plenty of other hotels(real hotels) to pick from in the area.

For the price that we paid for the room it was ok. There was no water for about an hour, while they were fixing something but didn't inform us of that when we checked in. The cleanliness and quality was average, the hotel was set up like several apartment buildings.

The room was clean and quiet. I was disappointed when I went to check in that they required a $50 deposit in case of damage. This was not disclosed when I made the reservation and three days later has still not been cleared from credit. I would have like some reassurance when I checked out that this amount was refunded.

I make several trips to the Denver area for work, but this was my first and last experience with this hotel and suites. When I arrived the floors in my suite were dirty (unswept and unmopped), my bed was never actually made just the sheets thrown back up. Sometime in the night the police arrived to take care of a suspect who was slashing tires in the […] parking lot and if you ever have to work from your room be prepared for a large amount of noise to come through your walls. I could hear when the person next to me blew their nose and I definitely heard all of the construction workers below and around me. I was not warned about the work when I arrived which would have been a courtesty to a guest. The last night I was there I arrived back later to my hotel and I realized I had locked myself out when I ran back to bring things in from my car so I called the help line, because they do not have a 24 hr front desk worker. I was told I would have to wait at least a half hour because she lived at least 20 minutes away! Read more

Very miss leading! Out of date, small space, and does not have working area for someone who is on a business trip. You walk 2 flights of stairs to get to the 2nd or 3rd floors. Ice machine is located only in club house! Better bring anything you might need with. More like an apartment you would rent on a day to day basis.

I have stayed here a few times in the last 6 months and I enjoy the hotel and stay everytime I come back. It appears that they just finished upgrading their rooms. Hotel Desk Opens at 7:30 AM. A/C Inoperative, no one available to change rooms in evening. Water was shut off for maintenance 9 to 5, two consecutive days. Not within walking distance of any restaurants.

Clean bedroom, nice staff. The room was a converted bedroom in the middle of an apartment complex with limited parking, thin walls, smokers everywhere, and no elevator for upper story access. Felt like an island resort set up instead of a real hotel/suites as advertised. Would not stay here again.

Nice place but seems to be running on skeleton staff. Maintenance seems to be on the decline. Demographics of other guest seem to be traveling labor workers as the parking lot was full of service trucks.

I have and still do travel a great deal on business and have stayed with every major chain in this country and several internation hotels for over 40 years. I was looking for a great deal and thought I had found it with the Commons.Wrong! The room was prepayed as I booked it on Expedia as I have so often done. This time however was unlike any other […] stay. Even thought there was no room service or other extra charge service available they charged $100 for it and I complained. I was told it would be refunded when I checked out and it was...after I was made to get pretty demanding with the desk clerk. He said it was because I might have stolen a TV or something! Getting treated as tho' I am a common criminal is not how to win customers or return business. The room was not nearly large enough for the king bed and overstuffed chair and small desk with huge lamps and shades taking up even more space. Just wasn't comfortable. My wife wasn't feeling well the next day and when the room maid came she left a stack of towels in the bath, didn't refresh the coffee, soap or shampoo and didn't even empty the trash. Dreadful service and I will NOT be returning at any price. Read more

The lady who checked us in was wonderful, very sweet and accomodating! We went to our room, which was deluxe suite. I guess they called it that because it had a mini fridge and microwave. They were out of orange juice and another man asked the kitchen guy for more (he had finally gotten off of the phone), and he said "Sorry, we're out." 5 minutes later he came out with some and said he made some more. This was not your average hotel but more like a time share. The room was very comfortable and clean. We stayed in what was a second bedroom of a two bedroom suite so we did not have a kitchen like the normal timeshare unit. It was well worth the cost that we paid and was easy to get to off the interstate
