Excellent value for the money. We were 4 adults and 3 kids and the accomodations and hotel staff was superb. The breakfast buffet is very nice and not the typical "skimpy" continental breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The hotel sits on what was the Naval Training Center San Diego. The USS Recruit is right next door. The hotel was convenient and very very comfy. The breakfast was pretty good as far as freebie buffets go. Wife had minor complaint about the neighbors across the plaza - music that lasted until after midnight from the Pizza / Beer place across the parking lot.

This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first. The rooms are clean, new and have plenty of space for a family of five. Having a full kitchen with a refrigerator is such a nice bonus, and the hot breakfast is always awesome. One note though, the hotel did put a $100 hold on our debit card upon check in, which we were not informed of until we got home and noticed it when balancing the checking account. I would have appreciated being told upon check-in as I would have given them a different card.

We spent 5 nights there because of a wedding and couldn't have been happier with everything. We had the two bedroom suite which we shared with our daughter, son-in-law and grandbaby and there was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The two-bedroom suite was actually much cheaper than getting two separate rooms anywhere else and the location to all the fun things to do in San Diego couldn't be beat.

My family of three kids (one infant) and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. If not for the busy schedules we had, we would have made good use of the really nice amenities like the pool, the grills, and the exercise room. We did use the terrace for breakfast and the outside patio was pleasant, too. We enjoyed the cleanliness of this hotel and the hospitality of the hotel crews was superb. I will definitely choose this hotel on our next stay.

When we decided to take a vacation we were faced with the daunting task of finding a hotel situation that suited our nap time needs. A one bedroom suite with full kitchen was exactly what we needed. Homewood was extremely family friendly. It was also wonderful to wake up each morning to a complimentary breakfast. It really saved us time and money having breakfast at the hotel. The best part was that we could take the breakfast back to our room and eat comfortably with two small children. The only complaint I have is the professionalism of the front desk staff. Specifically, I saw front desk personnel taking a personal phone call while a hotel guest was waiting with a question. Overall, the customer service wasn't up to par with the room rates. I expected a little more. Overall, a wonderful experience. We had a great time and would stay at Homewood again in a heart beat.

We didn't use the kitchen but for storing bevs in the fridge and making coffee and popcorn, but for those with a tight food budget it was well equipped to prepare meals. The hotel appears brand new, it is very clean, staff is very friendly. Only little things barely worth metioning: Shampoos are tiny and we had to request housekeeping our second day as it appeared they may not come daily. No biggie, room was clean and stocked with towels and tiny shampoos after a great day at Seaworld! Also hotel within very short walk to restraunts, Starbuck's and beautiful waterfront walking path that leads to a park with play equipment like I have never seen!Airplane traffic was a non issue.
