"located near best shops in town"
You are walking distance from all the best shops in town! My room was clean and spacious for a one king bedroom. The view wasn't the best (parking lot) but the comfort of the room made up for that. The fitness center is clean. Overall, my stay at Hazelton was fantastic!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, but room was noisy"
Good location, great looking room, but too much noise coming in from the outside! And I'm used to noise being from NYC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was notable for the presence of Justin Bieber in the hotel for nearly the length of our stay. That meant the entrance was swarmed with young girls, camera crews and the Bieb's security. The staff could have done more to make it easy to come and go, but otherwise it was an amusing diversion. It's a beautiful hotel, as advertised. One Restaurant […] is entrancing; eat outside if you can. Only complaint: it rained one night and morning. Our room was supposed to have umbrellas. It didn't. The staff promised to provide but never did. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Ronaldo and Dean are the best concierges EVER! They gave me fabulous restaurant recommendations (OPUS rocks!) and called ahead to make sure there would be a seat at the bar when I arrived. The level of customer service they provide is out of this world - speaking with them was like talking to a best friend who is always in the know and loves when they […] can share their knowledge with you. "My romantic anniversary weekend at the Hazelton"
Friendly greeting and well appointed lobby. Room was spacious, beautiful, extremely clean with a huge bathroom complete with marble, heated floor, built in TV in the large mirror, phone next to the commode and two different water nozzles in the shower made it into a relaxing rain forest shower in a sparkling, glass enclosed shower stall next to the […] jacuzzi tub where you could watch TV in the mirror. A convenient bar with built in refrigerator stocked with wine, water and soft drinks. The concierge was a fountain of knowledge and made us reservations at two outstanding restaurants within walking distance. Shopping was superb and within 10 minute walk. Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxing weekend and would come back. The Hazelton is truly one of Toronto's gems. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"First Class Act..."
This was truly a first class act. My boyfriend and I traveled to Toronto for my birthday weekend and he travels frequently and usually stays at the Westin. So i booked us there the first night and the other 2 nights at the Hazelton. Although the Westin had an amazing view, everything else was horrible. So when we arrived at the Hazelton we really wasn't […] expecting as much as they had to offer. From the time we arrived we were always promptly greeted with a smile from valet, front desk, concierge, housekeeping the restaurant ALL first class service. The room was beautiful, the bar fully stocked, bed turned down at night when we returned each night, complimentary wi-fi, business center such polar opposite treatment than that of Westin. I can't wait to go back and stay at their gorgeous hotel. It may not have the view of Lake Ontario but it is positioned in a quiet, shopping area and the food at "One" was great! Thanks Hazleton for giving me more than I expected... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Spectacular. Stunning. Five-Star, all the way!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I've had the privilege of staying in some fine 5 star hotels in Banff, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. This one was the absolute best, bar none. The staff - genuinely friendly and could not do enough for you and in such a gracious manner. Fine linens, huge towels, comfy chair/couch, free water, soda, fancy teas & coffee; drapes and lights at the touch […] of a button, complimentary shoe shine daily, super fast and delicious room service (complete with an orchid) - all in such luxury within walking distance of everything. Bonus - as a woman traveling alone I felt utterly safe and that meant a lot to me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"stuck in elevator"
don't trust the elevators in this building. we were stuck for 30mins without a working intercom and all they did for us was a small credit. Terrible! Will never go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better value elsewhere."
Hotel was quite booked up hence we were put into a wheelchair accessible suite without knowing (we were too tired to go and ask for a change). Not a huge deal but the height of some items/amenities was awkward to some degree. Staff is super friendly and helpful which is certainly a strength of this hotel. Some minor complaints of things that did not […] work all that well (e.g. TV remote on/off). Coffee maker quality was awful in the room. Pool was nice but no hot tub/spa. Gym is just adequate in my opinion. Overall I was expecting more from the hotel considering what they charge but I guess to a certain degree it goes with the area (Yorkville) you are staying in. "Love this hotel"
I've stayed here twice now and will be returning. Best hotel in Toronto!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed at The Hazelton Hotel, Toronto for 4 nights. Excellent hotel in the Yorkville area of Toronto. Like all places in Yorkville, very expensive. Try to get Breakfast included in your room, otherwise rou could pay $50 -$75 for breakfast for 2. Another charge to be aware of is the $9.50 per day, which the hotel charges residents. This is for "free" […] wi-fi, "free" soft drinks in mini-bar and "free" use of the spa/pool facillity. (what is it they say, there is no such thing as a free lunch). Other than that, could not fault staff who were all very friendly and helpful, room cleanliness and hotel decor excellent. Would definately return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best hotel in Toronto"
07/22/14 Naveron Toronto, Canada
I am local and have had the opportunity to stay at a number of high end Toronto hotels. This has to be the best in terms of: Location: everything literally steps from the hotel (shopping, nightlife, restaurants, transit, museum). Decor: Rooms are super quiet and have blackout curtains so you don't even know you are in the heart of downtown: Staff: Friendly, very efficient and capable: Facilities: Loved the salt water pool and steam rooms. I didn't eat at ONE but we had drinks in the bar. Yes it is pricey but you get what you pay for.
"Gorgeous Boutique Hotel"

Stunning property, with large sumptuous rooms, and bathrooms to die for. Masculine (but appealing to ladies, too), dark green marble, deep large tubs, TV-mirror, unlimited complementary soft drinks from mini bar, pretty and hip breakfast terrace restaurant are just a few of the amenities. The staff are welcoming, professional, and discreet. Reportedly, the favorite hotel of Hollywood A-listers visiting Toronto for their film festival...and I can see why.

At first glance from outside, I thought Hazelton is horrible. But never judge from outside. I was really impressed with the standard of Hazelton. Room decoration and furniture is nice. The atmosphere is like being at your own home. All staff seems to know guests names. I must say that hotel concierge is the best I've ever seen. Ronaldo, kiyome, Dean and Kathleen are simply amazing. They provided unlimited help to explore toronto. They can do whatever you want.
"Perfect Place to Stay"
06/23/14 cynthia v New York City, New York
Last week I was in Toronto for business and stayed at the Hazelton hotel. I have stayed at other fine hotels (some not so fine too) in Toronto and this is by far the best. The service is friendly and fast. There is a mini business center on every floor so you can print out documents with ease. The rooms are large, very comfortable and wonderfully quiet. And the location is ideal. It is pricey but worth it!
"Avoid The Hazelton"

My wife and I love to travel and we usually choose deluxe hotels. We particularly seek out the top hotels with charm but with excellent service, good food and modern conveniences. Unfortunately the Hazelton Hotel in the chic Yorkville section of Toronto fails dismally to live up to the image it portrays in it's promotional materials and website. We have tried this hotel twice now and we will never stay there again. When we pulled up to check in there was not a doorman in sight to open the doors or assist with our luggage. If that were a one time oversight, we wouldn't have given it a second thought. However, on the vast majority of our trips in and out of the hotel nowhere could one locate a doorman to open the door or aid in our travels. Even in the pouring rain we had to locate an umbrella at the desk and hail a cab ourselves. When we made the reservation, we specifically requested a quiet room. Upon arrival, when I asked if the room they had assigned us was quiet, I was told that perhaps they would look for another room. After a considerable wait, miraculously the clerk was able to locate another "luxury" room that he promised was one of their most sought after corner rooms and that it would certainly be quiet. The room was indeed lovely although so dark that even with all of the lights turned on, it was difficult to read. And the bathroom was so dark that my wife had to put on her makeup in front of the window in the bedroom. There was no problem keeping light in the room since the electric curtain motor did not work and the drapes could not be closed or opened. It also seemed excessively warm in the room, closet area and bathroom (which did not seem to have an A/C duct) so I located the thermostat in the far corner of the room near the window and discovered that it was already set at 55 degrees Fahrenheit and could go no lower. Naturally I called the desk and was told they would send "engineering" up immediately to remedy both situations. So off we went to visit friends and spend our first day in Toronto. When we returned the drapes were in working order but a message on our voicemail indicated that the air conditioning system had been thoroughly checked and it was working just fine. I called down again and complained that it could not be working properly if the thermostat had to be set at 55 degrees constantly. I was told that was the way the system worked. We were tired from a long day so we decided to forget about it and went to sleep. At 4 AM we were awakened by a group of very loud partygoers in the hall and had to call the desk to ask for help in stopping the noise. At 6:30 AM, just as we had fallen back asleep, so began a steady 30 minute stream of the loud and recognizable continuous sound of garbage trucks and other heavy machinery backing down a driveway directly below our window. That was the end of our sleep in a "luxury" quiet room. Yorkville is still charming but the Hazelton Hotel is incredibly overpriced, noisy, dark, uncomfortable and lacking basic deluxe service. It is simply masquerading as a chic hotel. Better off in a Holiday Inn.
"EVERYTHING A HOTEL SHOULD BE"

It is not often one can say that an establishment "ticks ALL the boxes" but the Hazelton is unquestionably one of the few. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are simply spectacular. The location is second to none and of particular note is the friendliness and attitude of all the staff and worthy of special mention is the outstanding concierge team for whom nothing is too much trouble. My review is short simply because I have nothing, even the slightest, negative comment to make. Well done

I have only good things to say about this hotel.... Our room was amazing. It had french doors that opened to a little courtyard in Yorkville which was my favorite feature. Comfy bedding, large marble bathroom. Great people watching in Yorkville! I would definitely recommend staying here.
"No better than the last time, had to leave"
05/31/14 garyfong Kelowna, Canada
I stayed here a few years ago and detailed what went wrong, and why I had to depart early. The assistant manager then, "Olivia?" said to please contact her next time I had to stay in Toronto. The other hotels in town were booked up for my stay, so I had to return to the Hazelton. I think 3 or four years had passed between stays. It's the same as it ever was. The AC was broken, so the first night I slept with the patio doors open. The next morning - on my way to town, I called and asked for it to be fixed. I was asked for permission to enter the room, which I gave. At about 10pm, I came back to the room to find it at 25 degrees, so I opened the patio doors and asked for engineering. The guest representative said that nobody had entered the room to fix it because I had left the DND light on. (That was covered over the phone). The room hadn't been serviced for the same reason - which was fine as I went down to the dining room while they addressed the AC. I came back after the meal to find the room still very warm. Apparently the floor heater was stuck on. At around midnight, the MOD came up, noted the room, pointed out the floor heat and moved me to another room. I had to be up early the next morning and planned on sleeping at around 1030 rather than 1230. Anyway, I left the hotel and "again" I swear I won't come back.
"Number 1 in every way"
From the award winning restaurant ONE, to the supreme service provided by friendly staff and beautifully appointed rooms, The Hazelton is truly Toronto's best local to relax and enjoy all the city has to offer... From the heart of Yorkville. Can't recommend enough!
"Lion King Show"

One of the finest hotels I have ever stayed at. Was in town to see The Lion King and to visit for a Friends Bday. Located in the Yorkville area there are many bars and great restaurants to enjoy. It is an expensive hotel but if you want to treat yourself it is the place to stay.
