only one night, but a wonderful hotel in the heart of the city. Restaurant was quiet, service was attentive but discreet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Booked this hoping it would be an oasis on a stressful and hectic trip and wow did it deliver. I loved everything about the hotel. They even accommodated and early check in at the last minute. The rooms are lovely and large, the bathroom was incredible, and the bed was comfy. Room service came quickly. Staff was delightful. My only complaint is the […] overhead lights in the bath and dressing room part. It's a small gripe--it's just really unflattering. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, great staff, room service not so good."
Room service, is not so good. Breakfast, grapefruit was rotten, cappuccino was cold and way too much foam.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great place. My new hotel for Toronto. So much better than 4S.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, outstanding staff, room OK."
Very friendly and efficient staff. Good but not outstanding room. Business center not up to standards of a high end hotel. Good but not exceptional food, lively bar. Charged for 3 nights parking for 2 night stay. Luxurious, extra deep marble tub didn't hold water. Comfortable king size bed, quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"located near best shops in town"
You are walking distance from all the best shops in town! My room was clean and spacious for a one king bedroom. The view wasn't the best (parking lot) but the comfort of the room made up for that. The fitness center is clean. Overall, my stay at Hazelton was fantastic!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, but room was noisy"
Good location, great looking room, but too much noise coming in from the outside! And I'm used to noise being from NYC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was notable for the presence of Justin Bieber in the hotel for nearly the length of our stay. That meant the entrance was swarmed with young girls, camera crews and the Bieb's security. The staff could have done more to make it easy to come and go, but otherwise it was an amusing diversion. It's a beautiful hotel, as advertised. One Restaurant […] is entrancing; eat outside if you can. Only complaint: it rained one night and morning. Our room was supposed to have umbrellas. It didn't. The staff promised to provide but never did. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Movie Stars and Insider Tips"
Ronaldo and Dean are the best concierges EVER! They gave me fabulous restaurant recommendations (OPUS rocks!) and called ahead to make sure there would be a seat at the bar when I arrived. The level of customer service they provide is out of this world - speaking with them was like talking to a best friend who is always in the know and loves when they […] can share their knowledge with you. Bonus: I swear I spotted Donald Sutherland on the patio! Awesome! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Underwhelming experience..... Staff was short and relatively inattentive Calls to housekeeping left service times to be desiredGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not in level a five star hotel"

"Unbeatable location but getting a bit tired"
Look, the location is flawless. Nobody can argue that point. That said, its a thousand bucks a night. You can have a great location and a much more up to date hotel for six-to-seven hundred (the new Shangri-La). If you can stomach the financial district the new Trump is pretty spectacular as well. Don't get me wrong, "The Haze" is still very nice but […] its getting a bit tired and is going to have to re-invent itself a bit in the coming years or it will start losing customers. "Can't beat heated bathroom floors"
courteous and helpful staff, luxurious rooms, amenities available, ideal location to meet my needs. Bathroom was awesome - TV built into the mirror, heated floor, rainfall shower and huge tub!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Spectacular. Stunning. Five-Star, all the way!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I've had the privilege of staying in some fine 5 star hotels in Banff, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. This one was the absolute best, bar none. The staff - genuinely friendly and could not do enough for you and in such a gracious manner. Fine linens, huge towels, comfy chair/couch, free water, soda, fancy teas & coffee; drapes and lights at the touch […] of a button, complimentary shoe shine daily, super fast and delicious room service (complete with an orchid) - all in such luxury within walking distance of everything. Bonus - as a woman traveling alone I felt utterly safe and that meant a lot to me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"stuck in elevator"
don't trust the elevators in this building. we were stuck for 30mins without a working intercom and all they did for us was a small credit. Terrible! Will never go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better value elsewhere."
Hotel was quite booked up hence we were put into a wheelchair accessible suite without knowing (we were too tired to go and ask for a change). Not a huge deal but the height of some items/amenities was awkward to some degree. Staff is super friendly and helpful which is certainly a strength of this hotel. Some minor complaints of things that did not […] work all that well (e.g. TV remote on/off). Coffee maker quality was awful in the room. Pool was nice but no hot tub/spa. Gym is just adequate in my opinion. Overall I was expecting more from the hotel considering what they charge but I guess to a certain degree it goes with the area (Yorkville) you are staying in. Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice, very helpful"

Very nice property in a nice trendy part of downtown Toronto. Close to restaurants and shopping. The front desk was very helpful. Rooms are very nice - a good amount of space and comfort. Bed was comfortable and the room had a nice flat screen TV. Wireless internet was also provided.

When we arrived here we were greeted with a warm reception. They go well beyond expectations, very classy, friendly and professional. Almost felt like a celebrities lol. the room was very luxurious spacious and the beds, pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed a good nights rest. All in all from check in to check out everything about this hotel is excellent. We would definitely return.
"Superb small hotel that needs a few tweaks..."
02/04/15 Mygift2u Denver
The room was big, comfortable, deep, and beautifully decorated. As the room is too deep for the window that is almost as wide as the room, the lighting is too dark for Toronto weather and the room size. I'm all for soft lights in the bedroom except when I want to read. The bathroom is well appointed included the super deep tub. Just make sure someone will help you out of the tub if you have balance or movement challenges. Towels are skimpy and the replacement of amenities could have been more timely. Front door and desk staff, concierge, and housekeeping are polite, professional, and anticipatory of your needs. They are well trained and seem to care about their responsibilities. The hotel fitness center is very good. The pool is small yet long enough for quiet short laps. The hotel is well situated near shopping and dining, and some performance halls. Lots of five star hotels and celebrity chefs nearby. The hotel's restaurant food was good. Breakfast staff were well trained, familiar with the menu, and helpful describing selections and managing expectations. Breakfast staff is just the opposite of the dinner staff. Dinner staff is not well organized or trained, aloof, unfamiliar with the menu, and basically not a good reflection of the "celebrity chef" that has control of the restaurant. Time to make a change Hazelton. Bar scene was trendy and intense. Again, the hotel room, staff and location are superb. Lighting throughout the hotel could be improved. Restaurant makes and serves a very good breakfast. The bar scene is dynamic. The rest of the food and food service is marginal.

My friend and I changed hotels after one night. We paid $ 740 for the sleepless night due to air conditioner running loud on and off. Little concern from the front desk, young lady informed us that we should have called them ( middle of the night ) to get a repair person to fix the problem !
"Only my second five star"

This is an amazing hotel, set in one of the best neighbourhoods of downtown Toronto. We arrived on a cold day in January, and immediately warmed to this hotel. Right from the valet reception, who was so eager to help, and courteous. He made us feel so welcome, first impressions are quite the thing. The valet took us in the check in right away, he would look after our vehicle "just leave it there" he said, "I will look after it", and he did. Check was pleasant, smooth and simple. The young woman that greeted us was also very welcoming, efficient, and genuinely seemed pleased to have us stay at her hotel. Nice! She gave us a brief tour to orient us to our surroundings, then took us to the elevator. We arrived at our room expecting a nice room...... We were greeted with a beautiful room. You know that feeling when you step on a carpet and sink into it a little bit. Perfect! The room is high-end everything, from the heated bathroom floor, to the automated curtain controls. I know these thing seem trivial, but everything was was superb in our room, spacious, quiet, well decorated, with limited edition prints. The room is large, spotlessly cleaned, little niceties everywhere you look . The bed is a perfect firmness, great comforter, pillow choices, right down to the non snoring one. Other submitters have said so many great things about this hotel, and they are all true. The best part of this hotel, the room is great, the hotel is beautiful, but what really makes this place great are it's people. In the bar, great , the restaurant, great, the door man, the valet, ...... Everyone we dealt with, seemed to want to give legendary service. Thank you for that, we really enjoyed our weekend here, it's a little more then we can afford on a regular basis, but you made a special occasion "special" thank you for that. We will be back, great place !

This was the high-end hotel of three we visited on our recent trip to Toronto. It is pricey, but we got a good deal due to Christmas holidays, and price is what keeps a place exclusive. My partner knows I was happiest here (coming from the King Edward even!), because I'm a bit particular. I'm not sure about the soundproofing, though, as I could hear the music I put on for her bath as I came back down the hallway to the room. The bathtub was amazing, though. We could have fit four in it, but thankfully we were only two. I really liked the steam room and she is very sensitive to chlorine and so enjoyed the salt-water pool. A sauna would be nice, but, hey, that's not part of this particular hotel.
"A True Five Star Hotel"
12/03/14 Maj189 St. John's, Canada
The Hazelton is one of the few five star hotels in Toronto. It is located in the centre of trendy Yorkville next to great shopping and restaurants. Our recent stay in the hotel was flawless from the time we checked in to the checkout. The staff were very helpful ( special mention to Dean at the Concierge desk). The room we stayed in was large, modern and quite though it was facing Yorkville Street. No coffee in the lobby before the restaurant opens but there are coffee machines in the rooms.
"An elegant, discreet luxury hotel"
12/01/14 Mina_M Toronto, Canada
Although we live in Toronto, we recently stayed at the Hazelton with our 2 children, ages 2 and 6 months to attend a special event in the area. The staff were beyond courteous - they were genuinely warm and gracious. The concierge had the room set up for our particular needs before we arrived - with even some thoughtful and very appreciated welcome gifts for the girls. The room was large and well appointed. The bathroom was gorgeous. Although this is obviously not specifically a family hotel, they went above and beyond to make our family feel very comfortable and happy. The few small issues we encountered during our stay were handled efficiently and quickly. Breakfast at the McEwan restaurant was very nice. Our only complaint there is that we wish there was a children's menu or some allowance for a child size portions. Overall we were impressed and had a relaxing, enjoyable visit. A wonderful stay-cation destination.

The room was amazing, although we had no view. The bathroom was incredible but did not eat there. Slightly pretentious especially the veranda (bar) at night. Although mercifully, the prominence of cigar smoke made it difficult to see the sunglass-wearing "VIPs". However, the staff are very amenable and down to earth, taking care to remember each guest's name. Would stay there again.

The hotel is located in Yorkville, an upscale neighborhood of Toronto close to lots of shops and restaurants. As I pulled up to the hotel there were so many Ferraris and Maseratis that I thought I was in Monaco for a minute. As a Leaders Club member I was upgraded to an executive suite which was quite large with a separate bedroom. The electric blackout curtains make the room pitch black and you will over sleep if you're not careful. Heated floors and a huge rainfall shower in the bathroom were awesome. Complimentary minibar and Nespresso machine were great. The concierge was very helpful in securing last minute reservations to Momofuku. Very happy with my stay.
