The room had a strong smell like dirty feet, the carpets looked dirty and we had doubts if the bed sheets had been changed. The free Wi-Fi did not work and there didn't seem to be hot water in the middle of the day. Our room (#16) was in an unlit hallway so had to use a flashlight to use the key.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonable hotel for small town"
Stayed here at start of winter ( Early November) when most of Lee Vining is already closed for winter. Nice hotel and reasonable price. Don't stay in rooms on East side of highway, they are too close to road and very noisy. Not too fancy but beautiful location and few other choices around here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and acceptable"
The comforters and blankets need replacing. They were the type that you put on the floor. The carpet is a bit nasty. The room was clean other than the above mentioned. I didn't find the "Lake View"!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a fine place to stay. The room was clean and nice enough. It was the only hotel open in town this time of year. The ceiling fan in the bathroom was so loud that we did not use it. Since it was off season, this hotel was being used by construction crews working on the highway, so there were a lot of guys drinking beer in the parking lot and […] outside of their rooms. That was a little uncomfortable. We came to explore the area and go hiking, so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. Beautiful area, worth the stop. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel to stay."
the room is huge and clean, and the location is very close to Mono lake and Yosemite. Very recommended to stay, and I will be back for next time I plan to go vacation again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint and quiet"
Nice little motel. In a very quit little town. Obviously a summer spot. A lot.of seasonal business sites closed for the winter. A good overnight spot if heading to Mammoth skiing. A short drive to the hill and you avoid the mountain rates. Very clean and good beds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"1. am See"
"girl at front desk"

We stayed 4 days Oct. 13,14,15&16 cabin was very nice clean everything worked convenient location, the only complaint I have is the girl at the front desk was very rude and not helpful and no personality what so ever, she is the first person you meet and gives a very bad first impression about the lodge. If she worked for me i would terminate her.
"Great location huge room"

Stayed here after a trip to Yosemite and on the way to Vegas. The room was huge, with a huge bathroom, kitchen area with fridge, microwave and tv. We stayed early October and there was only 1 restaurant open in town - Nicelys - however the food was good and reasonable. The hotel is a great location for visiting Mono lake and Bodie, a ghost town which is about half an hour away and worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
"Great location to enter the park and spend a night"

stayed here 1 night before entering Yosemite. Wooden new cabins, wireless a bit flaky. Nice small town with a few restaurants. Worth to visit the Mono lake in the afternoon. Friendly service, would certainly return and recommend!
"LOVED this vintage motel"

Very well maintained older motel. Our room (44) was huge, and had refrigerator, microwave, and huge private deck in the back that overlooked trees. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly, and helped us with directions to nearby sites. Grocery store is right next door to buy breakfast or sandwich supplies. We stayed here 3 nights while we visited Yosemite, Bodie, and Mono Lake. Whole area is beautiful beyond description, and this lodging was so warm and comfortable after each day of exhausting site seeing. Pretty flower beds and lots of conversation/patio areas for relaxing. We plan to stay here again next time we are on area.

"very comfortable place to stay"

Check in is quick and very professional. The room is very clean and spacious. My room has microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. The only compliant I have is the parking. If you have a room near the office, parking is limited.
"Good Yosemite Basecamp"

We have just spent 2 nights here in Cozy Cabin 14. Good clean accomodation, not too old I would guess, non smoking and quietly located at the rear of the property which is on Main Street, which isn't that busy anyway. and is only 500 metres from the Toga Road to Yosemite. All the other cabins look much the same, some maybe in better locations. WIFI has been surprisingly good considering the distance we are from the office. The motel rooms on the front look okay and again do not appear to be that old. Would stay here again without question. Only downside has been that a couple of locals keep chickens and on our first night the cockerels were crowing at 0330hrs!!! Perhaps there was a coyote about. Was quiet at dawn though, when we needed them.

Just right for the two of us, central to the town, handy for browsing ths stores. Nice sitting area in the front garden outside the private tucked away cottage. Wifi available from a seat in the main lodge garden.

Due to a wildfire in back of the timeshare we were staying in, we had to quickly find a place to sleep in this nearby town. We were so grateful we got the last room available here. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The gardens were beautiful and very unexpected in a California drought area. The staff was so nice and helpful and tried to keep us informed of the fire situation we had just left.
"Drove 500 miles to find we didn't have a room."
09/23/14 Katherine M Clinton
We arrived late on 9/14/14 after driving 500 miles to find out that only one of our days had a reservation and not the other. We were referred to the Tioga Lodge 6 miles down the road from Lee Vining from an apologetic night staff as the hotel was full. I made both reservations on 8/15/14 and received a confirmation number over the phone. BE ADVISED that they do not email confirmations otherwise I would have known that both days were not reserved. I can't rate the hotel rooms as I was so mad I cancelled the reservation for 9/18 as soon as I got a room in Mammoth Lakes nearby. I would advise anyone thinking about staying in Lee Vining to think twice and consider Mammoth Lakes just 15 miles south down a great 4 lane road. You are captive in Lee Vining and have limited choices for accommodations and restaurants. Stay at Mammoth Lakes and you have everything from Motel 6 to a posh condo or McDonald's to a gourmet restaurant. Gas is also 40-50 cents cheaper.
