My husband and I were up here for Ice Fest, and this was the closest place to Sandstone. It's what you can expect for the price, and definitely beats... camping in winter! It was very clean, though the tub faucet and drain should be replaced. Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 17, 2012

We just stayed here for a night to get out of the city, the hotel was quiet and in a nice area where you can see all the northern country just by driving 2 minutes away from the highway, we'll be staying there again if we go up that way!

I left the hotel at 4:00 in the morning and no one was there to check me out. Left key in room. Check out area was dark, no lights on, it seem that everyone left the hotel. No lights in parking lot, kind of creepy walking out there in the dark.

Room was not clean - had left over Rice Kriespy bar - half eaten, along with sprinkles and a left over empty M&M candy wrapper in two of the drawers. There was a lot of dust build up in and around the corner edge of the carpet. Not up to my standards.

we would have preferred queen size bed, rather than doubles. The smoke from the smoking rooms was noticable in the hallways. The price was right, and we would likely stay again if in the area.

For the amount of money I expected this type of hotel. No surprises. The only restaurant the hotels suggested served really disgusting food. for the most part the wife & husband that ran hotel was pleasant. The air condition worked great - which was the most important aspect next to cleanliness.
