We have stayed in many hotels in Nassau over at least 14 years on our way to various Out Islands in the Bahamas. This hotel is small, relaxed and very comfortable, and we liked the vintage decor. Very cool old B/W photos of a time gone by. It was odd that they never mentioned that the tap water in the room wasn't potable--unless you like brackish drinking […] water. There should be a giant, 2-L bottle of drinking water waiting for anyone who climbs up all those steps to the hotel at $200/night!. No water glasses in the rooms, but are in the top floor lounge, once you figure it out. Dinner was fish or a pork chop (no other restaurants in the neighborhood). We chose the fish of course--we were in the Bahamas! It turned out to be tilapia--a farmed fish I would never order, anywhere. We assumed it would at least be a fresh or frozen Bahamian fish! Outrageously priced at $35 per person, with a scoop of rice and a tiny salad. Take the #10 bus to Arawak Cay and "Twin Brothers" or Goldies or just about anywhere in "Fish Fry" and eat very well for much less than that, especially the price of a beer or drinks. This B&B had a nice private room (including a private bathroom) and a great ocean view. We didn't have a car and didn't want to taxi around, so dinner options were limited. The only real complaint was that we had an early international flight requiring us to be at the airport at 4:30 AM. Our room was dirty. The floors were gross and there was hair, not ours, on the floor in the shower. It's way Out or town not like where the hotel says it is On Expedia. We spent over $120 getting to downtown to shop n eat. There was no staff at the hotel at night. It was a ghost town.

This was the worst experience that I've had at a hotel, albiet a B&B for a while. My wife and I stayed here after our wedding - not for our honeymoon; but to relax for a day before going on our honeymoon. The staff were rude, not helpful and didn't explain anything. For the rate (again, know its a B&B), we expected the basic courteousy of them being […] polite and happy to see us. THEN.. get this, they lock the gate after hours; and no one is available to answer the phone. So if you leave the property and come back when the grounds guy is asleep; you are out of LUCK)... So Imagine our surprise when we go out for a night on the town; get in a little past midnight; and can't even get into the property. The key they gave us didn't work; and we called for HOURS before someone WOKE-UP and then finally opened the door. We of course were reminded that he was being inconvenienced. The room itself was nice...EXCEPT..if you expect water pressure sufficient enough to actually wash yourself.... I guess that is too much to ask. I can't say how dissappointed we were with this place. We would never stay there again. Although they are not as expensive; guests would be better off staying at the Whyndam or the Sheraton if Atlantis prices aren't doable... DON'T STAY HERE... Quite a ways from Nassau but on the city bus line which is convient and close for $1.50 per person to downtown Nassau and connect hub to anywhere on the island. Great continental breakfast with hot, made to order omlets. Staff and owner very accommodating. A wonderful place that was quiet and restful. Great staff and great breakfasts. Only complaint was that dinner was very mediocre and way overpriced as were honour system drinks. They are charging the same as really top end hotel would do for bar service. Ich hatte mit Frühstück gebucht und nach 1,5 Stunden warten immer noch kein Frühstück bekommen. ich musste selber in die Küche gehen und mir mein Frühstück selber holen. Es war ein Stück Restkäse, 2 Toastscheiben, Teller, Besteck. Obwohl ein Mitarbeiter das gesehen hat, wurde kein Frühstück serviert.

Hübsches, kleines Hotel nah am Airport. Wir brauchten eine Übernachtung für unseren Weiterflug nach Eleuthera und wollten nicht im touristischen Nassau, sondern eher ruhig und gemütlich absteigen. Das hat geklappt! Wer aber sofort vor die Tür gehen möchte, um eine schöne Gegend (Strand, Natur, Shopping) zu besichtigen ist hier falsch.

Me and my wife stayed there for 1 night on the way back to New York from Exuma. First of all, the hotel is pretty old and not that cute / fun as shown on the fotos. Hotel is located 5 min from the airport - which is really convenient when you have early flight next morning. No other advantages there: - hotel is located on the top of the little rock […] - some a lot of stairs to walk with your baggage with no porter service. Rooms are small and surrounded by the gallery, so you can't open curtains without becoming an attendant of Big Brother show. - Facilities in the room are not working properly - anything required to be fixed: from the door lock to the shower. - there is nothing around, but restaurant at the COMPASS POINT hotel. TO go somewhere you need taxi. As hotel is located far a way from the sea - there is no beach there, just quite small and stupid pool area So really makes no sense to stay there if you want to have a dinner in the city or need a beach around.
