Hotel is right in the middle of everything. It is a very low rate for the area how ever the hotel was very dirt the rooms are old and smell like a wet dog. I had to go buy 2 cans of air freshener and leave the windows open. There were also roaches in the bathroom walls and the tv didn't work properly. I would spend the extra money to stay somewhere […] else if I had to do it again. If its just gonna be the boys for a weekend of partying then you can't beat it but if your going with kids or a romantic weekend I wouldn't advise you to stay there. Read more

They really need to take some time and effort and upgrade things here. I have stayed at $49 a night places that were in way better shape and cleaner. The outside was trashed. Parking lot was filthy all over and the stairwells along with passageways when we got there had lots of trash scattered around. The room was a bit dated but clean. Not particularly impressed with the noise levels. It appeared that the BeachSide must cater to a "young" visiting crowd interested in the "party" scene. I found the hotel a bit overpriced for the accommodations!

The room was your typical hotel room with two queen beds. It did have a microwave and refrigerator. The best part of the room was lots of hot water. Made to order breakfast in the morning was a definite plus for the hotel. I would stay here again.

Well, we knew it was spring break, however, this hotel really caters to the breakers. It could be a first rate hotel, but it never will be as long as they don't really care who they rent too. Hotel is located on busy commercial strip right by the beach. The carpet was pretty dirty and tub clogged up. No one worked on the tub even though we made a request. Otherwise, room is comfortable. First, we had almost no hot water in the shower and very little water pressure. Our room faced the back parking lot, and for the 3 days we stayed, our neighbor next door to us was allowed to "cook out" right outside the door. He had a small 'homemade' looking grill, an old ice chest, and a 5 gallon bucket that he threw his trash in, which consisted […] of raw meat trays each day. He just left his tongs, tin foil, etc. right there by the door. If I'd wanted to stay at a camp ground, I'd have gone to one. When we walked out of our door to go around to the the front of the motel, we had to step over and around all his junk and trash. I just thought that it was unclean and tacky, to say the least, that the management allowed that. But, it was on the back side, so I guess they didn't think anyone but those of us who had rooms on the back would see it. Plaster was coming off in huge chunks inside of our bathroom. I realize we weren't staying at a 5-Star Resort, but I felt like at least the room could have been cleaned a little better. When we first walked in to the bathroom, there were hairs on the floor and on the vanity. Maybe maid was losing hair, I don't know, but it gave the appearance of not being very sanitary. Read more

Okzy, it is not the Taj-Ma-Hotel. This is a solid hotel for the price . An excellent option if your main goal is to enjoy the beautiful beach and many fine amenities that abound in Gulff Shores. Save your money and stay here. True, there is no coffee in the rooms nor is it available until 6.30am in the restaurant, that being said the mornings are beautiful […] so close to the beach. The lobby looks like any mediocre hotel chain, but I had a room that looked like a fresh coat of paint slapped over a 1980s rundown room. Corners were obviously cut everywhere. For a cheap place to sleep sure. When you can pay 20 more for a huge step up there is no way I'd use this for a family vacation spot.

Had a two night stay while attending a beach wedding. Our first unit was good, except we had no hot water (as was the case with a neighbouring unit). We (and the neighbours) were moved to the floor above and we had hot water there. The fridge cooled just enough, but there was no freezer section like the one had on the lower floor. The beds in the unit […] were A+ which is the main thing, right? My little android tablet got very reasonable internet connection from the unit. The comp breakfast was not a large breakfast, but it was a hot breakfast and coffee. You had a choice of 4 menu items and was prepared for you in the downstairs restaurant which I thought was a good way of doing it - no wastage. Oh, and one evening we came down to the restaurant to try their $3 margaritas which tasted great. One little disappointment was the room didn't have a coffee maker; if I'd have realized, I would have brought instant coffee instead of grounds. Read more

I booked a non smoking room. It came complete with an ashtray and even the pillows and bedding smelled like smoke. They forgot to mention the karoke bar outside just below my room. Unable to even try to sleep before about 11pm. Guess thats what I get for booking sight unseen.

The Hotel was clean, however they allow pets and we had fleas in our room, but they sprayed for them. The only thing that was a bother is we had our granddaughter with us and they only give out two complimentary breakfast tickets. Breakfast pancakes were awesome.

My husband and I were looking forward few days near the beach. This particular hotel is advertising itself as 3 star hotel. At the best I would give them barely 2 stars. Our non-smoking room was smelling like smoke. Our door key had constant problems (according to a worker, it is normal). Our room was not clean - corners of the room and bathroom were […] dusty and dirty (like person cleaned only the visible part, but did not bother to clean behind the door in the bathroom or behind potty, clean mirror what was spotty, vacuum between the bed and night stand... and who needs to see through the windows anyways? When we asked for new set of sheets, they did not have them. First time they gave us twin size sheet set for our king size bed, then they gave us two queen size flat sheets to cover the bed. Wi-Fi was not working in our room (you can use it if you are sitting by the pool or balcony outside and away from room). And our TV cable was not working very well either (grainy picture that lots of times was disappearing), we were told it is because of the room and they cannot help us. Breakfast... was warm, but skimpy. And you better don't be late! (My husband walked down at 9:03am and they said no we cannot help you... which we understand, at some point you have to draw the line) On the plus size - room was spacious, they did have fridge and microwave (no coffee maker), close to the beach. They do not have continental breakfast, it is only two meals per room at their "resteraunt". If you are there with your family you have to pay to eat. Place looked like the rooms were swept out instead of vacuumed.

The website was very misleading. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. There was barely enough room for the beds, dresser,etc. much less the 5 of us. We had 3 adults and 2 small children.
