It was great. Friendly staff, huge room (very high ceiling, great !), superb location, excellent breakfast buffet, very good maintenance in general. The only thing I was not too crazy about was the view from my room (it was facing another building), but that's fine since everything else was excellent. Another thing was trying to control the water temperature in the bathtub was a bit difficult.

Had to walk up a couple of flights of stairs and there was some late-night noise from the street, but if you don't mind those inconveniences, you'll get a fine room at a cheap price, and the location is excellent -- the Rhine on one side of the hotel and the bars and cafes of the old cobblestone altstadt on the other. Great breakfast and atmosphere in the dining room.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Staff spoke perfect English and was extremely friendly. I was in town 1 night before running a marathon the next morning and the staff offered a late (4pm) checkout at no cost to accommodate runners staying at the hotel. Excellent value for the price!

"The room smelled"
It felt more like a truck driver stop. The room smelled bad, and was very very small. Internet was not free, but very fast.

- When we got to the lobby the Guest Service Rep look at us and went to attended to is huge dog which we could smell 50 ft out. - The Lobby was hideous and the room where he put the large smelly dog had boxes all over it. - I had two rooms book for two days, I only need one they told me they did not know if they could cancel it, and they were going […] to find out from the manager if they could. The manager said he did not have time for two days, that is extremely poor customer services. - The room smells moldy, it smells like dirty feet, and arm pit, the towels smell as if it was not watched with detergent, there were cob webs in the room and there were dead insects all over the floor that looks like large bed bugs. "St. George - Koln Germany"
The rate is right. The location is good, train platform is very near walking distance The breakfast is not as fresh as it should be I had a non-smoking room and it had been smoked in for 20 years. The whole hotel reeked of cigarette smoke and yellowed just the same. Thsi place is very tired.

I was surprised that either that hotel doesn't provide bath products like soap or shampoo or we just didn't have it in our room. The bathroom as a room was pretty nice.

"Great for a one night stopover"
There was nothing special about this hotel...for me it was a one night stay after arriving in Germany late at night. For the price, it was well worth it. For what I paid, it's what I expected.

Much needs to be done on accessibility and arrangments on transportation as not every one knows german to access the available transport facilities since the hotel is out of town.

Comfortable room; tastefully decorated. The safe was not working; the reception was very friendly and cooperative. Both receptionnists (they looked like they were the owners) speak very good English and French. Very good breakfast buffet with an orange press, choice of fresh breads, eggs a la coque, ham, cheese, .. I did not try the restaurant and […] the bar; but it looked good. It is very easy to get to the city downtown - less than 20 minutes by tram. I bought a 4-way ticket for 9 euros. Taxi to the airport was less than 20 euros. Read more

Achtung dieses Hotel ist nach unseren Erfahrungen nicht als Businesshotel für Messebesuche zu buchen. Das Service entspricht nicht einmal das eines Studentenwohnheimes.

hotel à retenir qualité prix. chambres idéal pour un week end, petit déjeuner trés copieux. Un peu en retrait de la ville de koln, mais tramway à 50 m (ligne 9) qui vous dépose en plein centre ville.

"Geit hotell"
Enkelt og greit hotell med beliggenhet rett ved endestasjonen på t-banen. 15min med bane til Kølnmesse. God frokost, grei restaurant og bar og umiddelbar nærhet til butikk. Kun 4 km fra flyplass.

Недалеко от отеля имеется оспановка трамвая (метро), легко добраться в центр города. Неудобство: отель не имеет лифта, мы жили на 3 этаже, сложно дорбираться пешком с вещами.

Owners friendly, staff friendly but perhaps overworked. A nice hotel, nice rooms, with a good breakfast, but staff reductions apparent: room dusty; had to wait some minutes for some of the breakfast items; no one at desk when I wanted to check out. Struggling to maintain their level of quality. Excellent location near a U-Bahn station.

Not very clean, staff was smoking in the kitchen during breakfast. However, good situated just 1 min walk from Metro station that takes you direct to the fair ground. Very warm room and when the window was open you hear a lot of planes just about to start/land on the Cologne/Bonn airport nearby
"Leuk hotel - ideaal voor beursbezoek"
Ben zeer tevreden. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Ideaal als je de beurs wilt bezoeken in Keulen. Ligt niet te ver van de snelweg. Gezellig eet-cafe wat bij het hotel hoort. Parkeergarage waar je auto veilig staat voor maar 5 euro per dag. Ontbijt is eenvoudig maar wel vollledig. Vriendelijke mensen.
