First time staying at a SpringHill Suites. Room was nice and large but on going to the room, there was a tray of a partially eaten meal sitting outside the room across from my room. The tray with the garbage remained there overnight and was still there when I left to check out at 9:30 AM. Hoping for a warm spa after driving all day in a rain storm from central Iowa to Terre Haute. The water in the spa was luke warm, ended up taking a hot shower. The hotel was hard to find. It sits behind a Holiday hotel. It is near the Interstate 70 however. Breakfast menu was okay, bread products, cereals, scrambled eggs and sausage. Several choices of coffee.
"NIce hotel but a step below Residence Inns"

Nothing wrong with this hotel, but after 4 nights in Residence Inns and 1 in a Homewood Suites the "little" touches are seen. It was a nice, clean room, comfy King bed, good location and easy to get to off Interstate, friendly desk folks and perfectly OK for one night. Notable differences in the brand from Residence Inn ( both Marriott) Are RI has slightly nicer thicker towels, bigger room, better bath layout, larger living area. Again, much better than other "suite" brands but just a touch less than rest of trip.
"A pleasant stay in a newer hotel"

The hotel is a little hard to find initially because it sat in the back of the lot, behind another hotel and some retail stores. The building is pretty new so it's in good condition and the rooms are clean. We had two rooms and stayed for two nights but at different times we had problems with the different room keys. The front desk people were responsive in fixing the keys and on one occasion a staff member came with me to my room to make sure the key would work. The rooms were large, with a separate living room area. This was perfect for our family as we had more space to play and spread out. The free breakfast offered a full range of options. The happy hour is nice, if that is your thing. But on the second day there was not a staff present who had the liquor license so they offered soft drinks.
"Pleasant one night stay"

Staff was nice, our room was clean and quiet. We used the exercise room (two treadmills, an elliptical and some free weights) the pool and the hot tub. It was all in good order. My one complaint (and believe it or not we chose the hotel based on this) was the morning breakfast picture on the website shows a waffle iron which my son loves and most hotels offer. Sadly, there is no waffle iron. There are many, many equivalent hotels in this area, if we come back (depends on if my oldest chooses Rose-Hulman) we'll find the hotel that, all things being equal, has the waffle iron. #firstworldproblems

Beautiful, clean hotel. Very friendly staff who acted as if we were their only guests and gave us their full attention. Rooms were excellent! They were well appointed and VERY clean - nary a stain, mark, or scratch to be found - even had WOOD floors, no carpet! "Wet bar" area with frig and microwave. Plenty of room to relax and spread out. Coffee and tea available at all times in lobby. Breakfast area spacious and well lite with a wonderful selection of hot and cold, and healthy, items - not your normal menu. We have found our home away from home when we head out on the road and travel through Terry Haute

My husband and I have stayed at many places due to his job...There will always be someone to complain. I will tell you this is the most comfort I have had the pleasure of enduring at any place we have stayed. The most important aspect of a lengthy stay is the bed...I have many injuries and I slept so well I didn't want to leave. If people are concerned with cleanliness I would like to suggest do as I do carry your own lysol....It is impossible not to miss a spot...If you want light open the curtains...I am just saying my opinion this hotel is clean the floor shines back at you and in the dining area" which i might add is super for a hotel breakfast" the carpet is so happy with color wonderful to wake up to....and bubbles worked hard at getting everything out for the business people who had to leave by 6 and it was very beautifully set up the best you can expect ...we appreciate her....the staff was friendly and I can honestly say I can be a gabby abby and they are so pleasant thank you all so much ..they also have a night snack, pool, jacuzzi, and fruit is always out...there is nothing missing...to the owner wow you and your staff are a wonderful representation of what comfort away from home should be!!!! I still need to find the mattress to buy for my own home having trouble...I really need to make sure I purchase the right one any help I would appreciate!!
"There are better choices - would not stay again"

My family was in town to visit Rose-Hulman. We booked late and the SpringHill Suites seemed to be the best option at the time. The service was fine, no complaints during check-in. The room however felt dingy and musty. It was generally clean but didn't feel like it. My daughter slept on the pull-out couch and she probably would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The breakfast was in my family's opinion inedible outside of grabbing a yogurt. The croissants were clearly frozen and defrosted - i found one that had mold on it and brought it to the attention of the front desk. If my daughter ends up going to Rose-Hulman, we will not stay here again. There are a couple of good options in downtown Terre Haute (a Hilton Garden Inn and a Candlewood Suites) and a new-ish looking Holiday Inn Express closer to campus.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Did not receive maid service the entire stay. They did not make the beds and only replaced towels when I asked them too . Makes me question how well they actually clean the rooms between guests. The breakfast was not great either. Definitely will not stay here next time I'm in town.

The hotel staff was excellent, hotel was clean and pretty quiet. We were given a choice of which floor we wanted to stay on. We missed the free breakfast every day but 1. However the one day we did attend it was okay. We didn't feel we were missing out on a whole lot by not taking advantage of it. Overall a great stay the only complaint was the Wifi. It was pretty slow. Overall, very family friendly and clean. This was our second time staying and I would stay here again.
