Delightful B&B in Sandwich conveniently located for exploring Cape Cod. Very cozy accommodations, friendly owners & excellent breakfasts in a beautiful surrounding. A warm friendly welcome from the Inn Keeper .We had the Samuel Beale Room very comfortable although the bathroom was very small so was the TV...a 12inch screen ...There was a step up to the very comfortable high double bed. A very nice 3 course breakfast which was different each day of our 3 day stay. ..muffin or scone to start followed by fruit..eg […] poached pear in a special juice then pancakes or omelette ...would have appreciated a choice of main course. There was ample very nice flavoured coffee but there was no offer of anymore food other than what was served. Walking distance to at least 2 nice restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good jumping-off point for Cape Cod adventures"
The service was excellent, especially the breakfast. We found we had Hawaii experiences in common with the owners, and that made for pleasant memories. First-class food was delightful. We were in the right place to visit Cape Cod in one day, and then head for Boston refreshed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fabulous Food & Comfortable Stay"
We will be sure to return. Breakfast fare, service and ambiance a wonderful way to start your day. Wish breakfast was served beginning at 8am...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The proprietors were incredibly kind and hospitable throughout our stay. For breakfast, they asked if we had any dietary restrictions and when we told them we were vegan, they didn't even hesitate. The next two mornings we were presented with some of the best food we've had. They offered to make reservations for us at local restaurants and had recommendations […] handy for vegan friendly places, which is a tremendous help on the cape. They knew the area inside and out, recommending great alternate routes around that saved time on traffic and provided tremendous scenic views. Our room was likewise tremendous. It was pristine. The antique furniture was beautifully maintained and the bed was very comfortable. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Comfortable furniture in a beautiful room in a beautiful house in the heart of the Cape run by wonderful people who charge incredibly reasonable rates - the best of both worlds. "A step back in time"
Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Isaiah Jones Homestead/B&B. Located in Sandwich village, this historic Victorian Inn fits perfectly into the surroundings. It's beautiful in every respect...from the meticulously maintained home and gardens to the period antiques in every room. The sun-lit dining room is warm and inviting and the breakfasts prepared […] by Katherine (and served by Don), are simply fabulous.Don't be misled by the "star" rating, just read all the personal reviews! I am a sixty-year-old woman and stayed at this bed and breakfast during a five-day Cape Cod vacation with a girlfriend. The Sandersons made our stay a real pleasure. They were knowledgeable about attractions on the Cape and eager to help us plan our activities. However, the best part of our stay was the breakfasts! Katherine is a superb cook, producing […] home-made fruit scones or muffins every day. My favorite breakfast was the blueberry pancakes, with sweet and juicy blueberries inside a delicate batter. Our room, the Dr. Lombard Jones, was spacious and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, just steps away from the center of town. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Would not recommend"
This was the poorest location in our vacation. We normally stayed in the Dan'l Webster but wrongly thought we would try a 'traditional inn' which we regret. The food was not to our taste and I did not eat anything on the two days there, which seemed to upset the host! The room was so dark I wish I had a flashlight to see- although I did see the spider […] webs in the corners. I was glad to leave and would not recommend this inn to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Home away from home"

It's been quite a while since we've had a chance to revisit the Isaiah Jones, but we recently returned for an August long weekend getaway. The second we walked in we had that feeling of "Ahhhhh!" that you get when you are in a place that feels familiar and comfortable. We stayed in the Samuel Beale room again, which is our favourite. It was too warm for the fire, but we spent a lovely rainy afternoon reading in the window nook, with the light filtering in through the surrounding greenery. Another afternoon was spent enjoying the Adirondack chairs and toe-delighting grass of the back garden. And I'd forgotten how comfortable the beds are at the Isaiah Jones: we're frequently disappointed in hotel beds, but not here. Katherine's breakfasts are always a highlight of visits to the Isaiah Jones, and this time was no exception. I'd be hard pressed to say which of her creations I enjoyed most. The pumpkin muffins? The frittata? The blueberry pancakes? Impossible to choose. The Isaiah Jones definitely feels like a home away from home for us. We look forward to visiting again soon!

This was the last B&B we stayed in as part of our touring itinerary in New England. We had stayed in Sandwich 3 years ago in the Daniel Webster but this time chose mainly B&B's for our choice of accommodation. On our arrival we were given a guided tour of our room and the parlour/lounge and dining areas by Meg, Katherine's sister who was helping out with the running of the inn at that time. The decor is very traditional but has all the modern amenities on offer. The parlour room housed a wide collection of guide books for borrowing, reading materials, DVDs and a wide selection of restaurant menus to peruse in addition to decanters of port and sherry for an evening tipple! The lounge was very spacious with a full cupboard of glasses available to borrow, which we did to partake of a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my husband's birthday. The dining room offered a coffee machine and a selection of teas and coffees for use whenever plus a jar of cookies and pretzels should you get peckish between meals. We opted to eat breakfast outside on the terrace where two tables were laid to make the most of the summer weather and which overlooked the very peaceful garden. Breakfasts were a delight, freshly cooked by Katherine each day although make sure you don't eat too much the night before as it is a three-course affair with fresh juice and as much coffee as you can manage. Our bedroom, Dr Leonard was on the ground floor at the front of the property although was far enough away from the public areas to avoid any noise (not that we encountered any anyway). There is a separate toilet and shower room ensuite to the bedroom with all the usual toiletries on hand and a spacious chest of drawers and armoire for hanging clothes. The bed was four-poster and most comfortable. My only request would be to have better light for reading either over the bed area or next to both armchairs. Another nice touch was the Ghiradelli chocolate squares left each night, delicious and small bottles of water replenished daily. The location is perfect should you wish to abandon the car and walk around the town and to the beach although visiting the marina/Cape Cod Canal area would be a bit too far to walk. We sampled several restaurants although a must is the Marshland Bakery/Diner who offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can request small portions if you have a smaller appetite.

This B and B was wonderful. We were on the main floor. The location was great for us. Breakfast outstanding. The innkeepers were so welcoming and gave us great tips on were to go and what to see. Would love to stay there again.
"Excellent hosts, Victorian decor, Good breakfast"
08/04/14 prolifictravels prolifictravels
The property is well-maintained, beautifully done up in Victorian decor and has lovely gardens. The dining area has several tables so each party gets their own- quite a respite from not having to make small talk when sharing a single dining table with other guests. There is plenty of sunlight filtering into this dining area with a view of the garden which was lovely. Donny and Kathryn are phenomenal hosts. We have stayed at plenty of bed and breakfasts, but their hospitality is unmatched. Donny not only made recommendations for places to eat at but called to make our reservations as well. He gave us a delightful tour of the property including the room and seemed genuinely interested in good hospitality. Donny also provided directions to places to see and explore. The breakfast was delicious with warm cranberry scones, grilled stuffed peaches and their signature omelette with coffee and Donny's concoction of orange and cranberry juice (Donny combo). The inn itself is not too far from the beach, although you would need a bike or a car to get there. The reason I did not give a 5-star rating was because, quite unfortunately, our bathroom stall was infested with bugs that looked like fruit flies; I found 14+ of them in the shower stall hovering around the drain in the morning! I almost got sick at the sight and washed them away with the handheld shower. Some of them escaped to the ceiling. Both the shower water and sink drained very, very slowly. Third, there were cobwebs between the exposed beams in the bedroom and in nooks and corners around... it upsets us to have to write a frank review since the hosts were so wonderful, but, perhaps this will allow the housekeepers to become more attentive. We ate at The Conservatory located in the Dan'l Webster Inn; the food was very average/subpar, overpriced, but the dessert was fantastic (chai creme brulee) and service was good. We would certainly return to this inn, and would hope that the lapses in management and housekeeping would be rectified soon.
"A different and comfortable B&B"

Run by Donny and his wife Katherine, one resides in a comfortable and well serviced traditional old home. It is a pleasure to be able to enter and stay in such a traditional Cape Cod house. There is off street parking and there are beach chairs, towels and umbrellas available to take to the beach - a welcome bonus. Breakfast is the peak point of the stay. Katherine produces a top quality three piece breakfast that is both light and exquisite.

The Inn is convenient to the entire Cape, clean and quiet, and provides one of the best breakfasts I have experienced. Good value and friendly service; great for early morning walks. A worthy member of the Select Registry system. We would return without question.

We stayed here the third weekend of July. Donnie & Katherine were wonderful, affable hosts with an incredible attention to detail. Between making recommendations and dinner reservations, they were like a personal valet. Rooms were peaceful and comfortable. Great breakfast and great service. We'll be back.

This was my first visit but definitely won't be my last. The hosts were amazing and the breakfast superb. The house is well maintained and it seems as if the owners have thought of every detail to make the stay enjoyable from the comfortable beds to the welcoming and impeccable parlor. This is an A+ place to stay.

We just stayed at the Isaiah Jones Homestead Bed & Breakfast for the weekend and had a great time. The hosts were gracious and accomodating, and the breakfast was fabulous. They have everything you need to make your stay comfortable - from the welcoming front porch and shaded backyard to the fully stocked dining area with cookies, coffee and tea available 24/7. An added bonus is that they have beach towels, beach umbrellas and chairs to use for your trips to the beach. We highly recommend this B&B!
"Great getaway to recharge your batteries"
07/08/14 Pete C Tampa, Florida, United States
We spent the week of 4th of July here and it was so peaceful. Donnie and Katherine were very gracious hosts, we were able to buy ferry tickets to Martha's Vineyard there. They also checked us in online for our return flight and printed our boarding passes. They have plenty of local information and maps. The breakfasts were always delicious with a view of a beauthiful garden. Our room was small, but comfortable. We were treated like guests, we got a big hug from Katherine when we left. We aren't the type to vacation at the same place twice, but this may be the exception.
