Majestic Regency

Sprinkler heads stick out of wall about 6 inches over bed, in sink area and in shower. They are unpainted and quite unsitely. I haven't had a backache from sleeping in a long time. That streak ended with my stay at the Majestic Regency. I had to sleep on the very edge of the bed to avoid getting sucked into the middle. Still woke up with a backache. […] Old school, small box tv...All furniture outdated. Considering the size of the place, you'd think they'd put more $$ back into the rooms. It was fully booked both nights I stayed. Oh and the funniest part was the Continental Breakfast...It's something I would expect at a campground...never seen at a hotel/motel. Fridge full of gallons of mild and generic brand juice. Serve yourself and put the gallon back. Cereal was big boxes of local "store" brands. Bagels were still in plastic bread sleeves instead of in a basket. People simply reached in the bag and grabbed their own and the next guy would slide his hand in and the next guy...you get the point. Extremely turned off by this selection and ate elsewhere. Bottom line, great price, but you should look to spend a little more and get a better room somewhere else. Read more

This hotel is the most disgusting and filthy hotel I have ever seen in all of my travels! The room was dingy, dark and completely out dated. We had to wear our shoes the entire time because of the nasty film and sand that was all over the carpet. I’m not even sure that the room was cleaned before we arrived. The ONLY good thing about the Majestic Regency was that it was located at very beginning of the Ogunquit Trolley run so you could escape your horrific room and go to Perkins Cove. We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2011. Decent room, only issue was that the door wouldn't lock. Light bulb was out, but maintenance arrived within 15 minutes with a replacement. Breakfast was good Lawn had a lot of antholes unfortunately, which worried me a little since we had a toddler. Overall, my husband and I felt that we certainly got what we paid for. It isn't the fanciest, but certainly isn't run-down either. The biggest thing that I hated about the hotel was that there aren't any bolt locks on the doors...just a push lock. Also, the bathroom was really small and you could barely move in it. The door didn't shut all the way either so as newlyweds, we bonded a little more in our relationship. I would not stay there again. There were holes in the bureau, the shampoo dispenser in the bathroom was torn off the wall. My husband found a condom in the night stand draw. It was overpriced for what we got. There was a breakfast included and there was a sign saying 2 donuts per guests, very tacky!!! That sums up this place TACKY!!!

Room itself was rustic. Mattress was not comfortable but I'm not that sensitive and I was tired. It did have a forced air heating unit which I don't like since I am sensitive to cold. This hotel is very close to a lot of food areas, and like any motel off the highway, does not seem to have much security. It is, however, very cute, and good enough to stay for a night or two. I wouldn't recommend for a long stay as there is not much room inside.

This motel was not majestic nor regent. The room entry was a sliding door and when we first walked in it reeked of mildew. The bathroom was dirty with cobwebs on the ceiling. The decor is extremely outdated. The carpet was so filthy my kids feet were black after walking on it with no shoes! We also found a used band-aid under one of the beds. Arrived for check in 2hrs early and had no problems. We were made very welcome. Just outside Ogunquit town which is much more expensive but only a few minutes drive away. Had lunch in the Post Road Tavern a couple of minutes walk away, back toward Ogunquit. Fabulous burger with sweet potato fries...Unless you are very brave dont try the Toxic Waste […] wings which are mega hot....a customer there told us he had ONE the night before and thought he had to call an ambulance...If you can eat 12 you get them free + a tee shirt. Complimentary breakfast at the Majestic is served in a funny little 'shed' on the site..which is a bit shabby but clean. Muffins, cereals, donuts, pastries, bagels, toast, juice,coffee, tea, milk...all serve yourself and plentiful. Great place to stay for the cost which is very reasonable. Read more

Old motel but well maintan. Good for family (lots of activities on the site), Nice heated pool. Breakfast; American style, many groceries close to the motel. Durty carpet (bring your sleppers), Bring your own pellow (theirs look like overcook cookies!!) Still expensive for what it is!

Cet hôtel est bien placé et offre de bons services. L'ambiance sur son site est très bonne et c'est dynamique. La problématique est la chambre. L'odeur qui s'en dégageait (humidité et autres) était affreuse. C'est vieux et ça n'a pas l'air propre. La piscine était également très sale. Bref, nous n'y retournerons pas.
