"Good Hotel. Good Breakfast. Excellent Staff."
Rooms at the front are better but can be noisy on weekends. The staff were extremely helpful throughout.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Family orientated hotel"

Great family orientated hotel where staff sincerity and charm is abundant. Food in restaurant and bar was top class. Proximity to local amenities and town is excellent. Parking is good and finding the hotel not a problem. Would not hesitate to return in the future.
"Think Wexford - Think Talbot Hotel"

On our visit to Wexford we were very lucky to secure accommodation at the 4 star Talbot Hotel. From arrival to departure the Talbot experience was everything you could expect from a 4 star hotel - Friendly staff / Clean room / fantastic sea view ( €10 room supplement but well worth it ) / and a great dining experience on top of lounges where you could relax with a drink after dinner. Had fortune to meet manager and complimented him on his staff , especially a young lady by the name of Emma - whose customer service skills were brilliant and who had a great sense of humour. ( well done Emma ) We will without question be customers at the Talbot Hotel for many visits to come in the future and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all.
"Great hotel to stay in"
I stayed in this hotel as it was a treat from my uncle to take his kids, wife, my mum and I for a vacation and also a treat from graduating. It was great as the location was good, the rooms were great and we ate there every night but the dish that was the best had to be there fish and chips, thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the breakfast was good too, they had a sign that had a talbot thought of the day, with a different quote every morning which was good too

Four of us stayed here recently for a three day break.2 adults and two 12yr olds. The hotel is fab.We only ate in the bar but the food was great and plenty of it.Staff were great and couldn't do enough for us.Its a pity they don't have a bigger choice on the menu or change it every other day.The leisure center was fab and very clean. The bedroom was a grand size and kept very clean. My only problem was the noise. We were in 108 and even with the window closed you could still here the noise from the machines outside, think they might have been to do with air conditioning or something. We had a lot of broken sleep due to this. All in all we will be back.A great child friendly hotel and so near to the town, just a diffeerant room next time.

Our party of 13 (7 golfers and 6 retail therapists) stayed for 5 nights as part of an arranged golfing holiday. Staff very welcoming & friendly - could not have been treated better if we had been family relatives. Rooms lovely & clean, all areas of the Hotel, Reception, Lounges, Dining areas, bars, leisure facilities excellent. Special thank to the breakfast staff who opened early for us on 25th so we had ample time to reach the ferry at Rosslare. Would definitely stay there again.
"Great, child friendly hotel"

We stayed here for two weekend nights in July. On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very pelasant and made us feel very welcome. The manager was also there and came over to see if we needed a hand with our bags (as we had our 1 year old baby with us) We had a room that faced out onto the harbour. I was a little disappointed with the size of the room. I found it to be small-esp as i booked a 'deluxe seaview room'. But the room was very clean and had air conditioning too. Breakfast in the mornnigs was really nice, a lot to choose from and they had a separate kids breakfast area which i thought was great. We had dinner on one night in the restaurant. staff were lovely, service was good but i didnt find the menu too great. i wouldnt expect a lot of choices as i know thats the usual with set menus but all starters apart from 1 all had cheese.main courses werent too bad but didnt think desserts had great variety. Overall i thought this hotel was very welcoming and great with kids, they made you feel vetry relaxed. I would recommend for families.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we toured around the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. We made good use of the leisure facilities which are adequate. The bar food was tasty if a little overpriced but I guess you can expect that for hotel fare. Our rooms faced onto the harbour which gave us a pleasing view. Unfortunately there was alot of noise on both nights from revellers and the music from the bar didn't lull us to sleep! In addition the rooms were incredibly stuffy. Breakfast on the second morning was disappointing. We had to return our hot food as it wasn't fresh. To be fair to the waitress she was prompt in replacing it with fresh dishes. We left the hotel not feeling very refreshed so I couldn't give this hotel a solid recommendation.
"Very friendly hotel"

A lovely hotel with a warm welcome and big smiles from all of the staff we encountered. The people of Wexford are friendly and easygoing and could not do enough to help us. Breakfast was easy to navigate and the food was varied and tasty. Dinner in the restaurant was good food and even better service, and likewise the bar food. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

"Good location undergoing refurb"
On a prime spot on the Wexford quay, the Talbot has been serving the town for some time. The rooms are in need of a facelift but they are clean, tidy and a good size. The restaurants and bar are on a mildly maritime theme. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar food was fine. Lunchtimes are very busy as the bar is popular with locals - service is very friendly and attentive at this time. The Gallery on the ground floor is a favourite gathering spot for afternoon teas and a good location to unwind with an Earl Grey and a good book.
