A very nice hotel with very good rooms, but unfortunately it’s located a bit far from the main happening area/center of the beach town and not right on the beach. If you are looking for a quiet place, this place would be great though, and the beach is not too far away. The part about not right on the beach I knew, but didn’t realize it was this far […] from the center spots of shops, etc. Also, it was a bit boring and very very quiet with not much happening, not even music during the day. ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND CLEAN – as far as the rooms, they were quite nice. The only thing is – make sure to ask them for a double size bed instead of 2 beds, as in our room they had two beds pulled together and it was just too late to ask for a new room, but not very convenient since if you’re a couple, you’ll end up just using one of the 2 beds, or sleep on separate beds since they slid apart… BREAKFAST VERY GOOD – very good breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice, omlettes, waffles, etc. Really enjoyed it! STAFF – very friendly and accommodating – very impressed with them. MINOR THING - NO MINIBAR – there was no minibar in the room and room service (when the bar is closed) does not provide anything but beer (not even wine!) Read more

Very friendly and relaxed environment, where staff cared that everything was okay, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Everyone spoke good english (as my french not so good!) and we have come back relaxed after a lovely week. Nice hotel, clean, big room and bathroom. Had a lovely view of the sea from the balcony. Food was good and service was friendly. Easy walking distance to the beach. Only downside was it is a long way from the Agadir marina where the main restaurants/nightlife are. However it is only a cheap taxi ride to get there if you wanted.

We had a lovely time in Agadir and this hotel was a very comfortable home from home. the rooms are spacious and have a nice view from the balcony. the beds are comfortable. the pool area is lovely with trees and birds etc. its only a ten minute or so walk to a very nice beach. Its quiet and peaceful. The only down sides are that the shower is not as […] strong as I would have liked and the temperature of it was a bit difficult to control. Also the views on the other sides of the hotel are pretty ugly but you don't really notice this too much. They do add a small charge to the fees at the end but I think this is done at all Morrocan hotels. I would not recommend the half board as the evening meal is rather dull. The Timoulay hotel is a great place to stay. However, it was our first stay in Agadir so we don't have any other hotel to compare the Timoulay to. Our room was spotless, spacious and featured a balcony. The hotel is located around 300m from the beach which is actually not too bad as it guarantees that it is quiet at night. However, walking to the town […] centre will take you around 30 minutes or 5 minutes with a cab. The hotel has a small salt-water pool which is sufficient as it is a medium sized hotel. If you don't like to stay in places swamped with hundreds of other guests, the Timoulay is a good choice. Staff is very nice and helpful. We haven't used the spa but the prices seemed rather steep compared to a spa visit in Essaouira. I don't recommend to use the dinner buffet though as it is quite expensive compared to dinner prices in town. Also avoid the restaurants along the beach promenade as they are all tourist traps. Eating out is best done in the town centre with restaurants around the valley of birds. Read more

We had a great holiday in Hotel Timoulay. Stayed for one week, March 12th-19th. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. Food is very good and the spa is very reasonable. Located only 10 mins from the beach, 15/20 mins from the marina. Highly recommend Hotel Timoulay!

We chose the Timoulay as it has excellent reviews on various forums. After our stay, we can thoroughly recommend this hotel. It's not so much the rooms (immaculate); the food (amazing, fresh, so much choice) or the location (in the quiet, posher end of town) that make it so good - it's the staff. The reception staff, concierge, room maid, cleaners, […] chefs, managers, waiters and waitresses all are just lovely (particularly Fatima in the Spa and Jawad in the restaurant - thankyou). They cannot do enough for you and we felt like royalty, Our toddler son was admired every day by staff (he has blonde hair and fair skin - a rarity in this Islamic country!) and given free ice-cream, strawberries, cakes...! We could not find (we tried!) a spot of dirt or dust anywhere. Our son is partial to wearing just socks and usually they are filthy at the end of the day, but not at the Timoulay. Clean as a whistle. I experienced the Morroccan 'hammam' spa treatment in the hotel's spa - it was rather unusual but enjoyable and my skin remained clear for the week afterwards. Yes, you will find cheaper spas, bars and restaurants up town - but this is 5* - and a snip at that. We paid £65 per room per night for B+B in January on an Expedia special rate. An absolute steal. There are not many British guests at the hotel - this is a place for upmarket French tourists - but everyone spoke perfect English and even helped me improve my French. We'll be back! Read more
