"Pick another Place!!"
There are no non-smoking rooms even if they say there is. My room had the disgusting smell of smoke that it gave me a headache for my entire stay. I couldn't sleep. Too close to the street...lots of noise. I had to ask for an iron and iron board and I had to get it from the office. The board wouldn't even stand up. Parking was horrible. Not enough room […] for even a compact car to park. You can't even have more than 2 people nt the elevator because you would get stuck. Very unsafe. It was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. You can do much much better for the price I paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good place for the night"
Simple place to stay... Except for the bathroom air vent a bit to loud when turning on the light and the cigarette burns in the bed sheets. Besides that everything was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
This motel was perhaps the worst I have ever stayed in to the point that I couldn't wait for daylight to leave. It looks and feels just like the motels you see on TV, where there are ongoing drug deals and murdered people, blood splashing everywhere. Aside from comfy beds and prime location, there's nothing else awaiting in this hotel. Would not use […] again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, poor place"
We booked this place because it practically on the Boardwalk, but the surroundings and overall shape of the hotel is very poor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK place to stay if you need something cheap"
Old motel with old furniture, room was small but....bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked great, bathroom was clean, staff was nice and we felt safe when walking back and forth from our hotel to the boardwalk. If I ever needed a cheap place to stay on the weekend I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Don't bother, spend the extra money and stay away!"
Where do I start? I was beyond disappointed in this motel. I knew I was not checking into a 5 star hotel... but based on the other reviews that said it was fine for a night, I trusted Expedia and the previous travelers. I suppose the negative tone was set by the parking lot on the ground level under the first floor of rooms... I did not feel safe parking […] my car there. This uneasy feeling only got worse upon entering the lobby, a guest in line in front of my boyfriend and I, was fighting with the man at the front desk. Apparently her name is on a list of guests not welcome at the hotel. When she saw us waiting behind her, she let us go ahead of her. We got our key walked up the stairs and out the covered walkway to our room... I tried to look past the appearance of the hotel, the smell of the interior of the building and once we got into the room I looked around and decided that I would not feel comfortable sleeping here... let alone walking back here at night after spending time at the casinos. I didn't even walk into the bathroom.. I didn't want to see anymore. My boyfriend and I knew it wasn't worth our time to stop back at the desk... that woman was still there fighting with him... we drove over to the newest casino, Revel and sat in their lobby overlooking the ocean and booked another room at Showboat through Expedia. We got a last minute deal and it was a Thursday night, what we spent on 2 hotel rooms equaled to less if we booked on a Friday or Saturday night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Red Carpet Inn and Suites June 2012"
This hotel was fine for the price. The staff was great; incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the room itself left much to be desired. The towels were clearly dirty, so we asked for new ones. Also one of the outlets didn't work and the building was pretty run-down. However, we really weren't in the room a lot, pretty much just to sleep. On-site […] parking was available, which saved us a lot of money. The hotel was within our budget and we didn't have the highest expectations so it worked out. Another plus - the location was great. It was very close to the boardwalk and within walking distance to the major casinos. If money is tight, this is definitely a place to consider. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Our stay at the Red Carpet Inn in Atlantic City"
Inn and Suits? There was nothing sweet about this place. It was dirty both in the rooms and the hallways. The lobby and the halls smelled. Entrance to the rooms were from the outside. The elevator was so small we were afraid to have more than one person in at a time. The management limits occupancy to two. It was so bad we were supposed to stay three […] nights and left after one. It was worth the additional money we had to pay to another hotel for the remaining two nights to get out of the Red Carpet Horror Inn and 'suites'. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, PS - don't even want to talk about the parking or lack thereof. There is such limited space management had cars blocking each other so people had to leave their keys with the lobby office so cars could be moved to let other cars out. Great security!!!
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"It was pretty much the worse place I've ever been to."
09/14/14 ElieBebe Montreal, Canada
It was pretty much the worse place I've ever been to. The two positive things I have to say are : The staff is very nice. It is very close to the boardwalk and the beach. But that, didn't cut it for me. Everything else was just crazy. I travel a lot for work. I sleep in hotel rooms at least twice a month. I've stayed in cheap hotels. I rented out rooms through discount website before. That was by far the worst experience ever. The building is pretty much falling apart. It's rusty. There are huge sections where the paint is falling off. The balcony is in an angle... It doesn't look like it will hold up much longer. There were some very funky smells in the lobby, in the room, in the elevator, in the staircase... But all of this doesn't matter too much as long as the room is clean which was the definite contrary. The cleanliness of the room was absolutely terrible. Like... it was... insane. Especially for the price of the room. 75$ a night... Come on ! There was dirt on the bathroom floor that must have been older than me. Everything was a little greasy and sticky - the counters, the walls, the furniture, the door... unacceptable. In my country, they close apartment and office building in better conditions for unhealthiness. I can not possibly think that places like this exist. The public showers at the beach are cleaner than the room we got. Pretty harsh... But... It's not worth it.

We visited the area for a concert & didn't have many affordable choices. This was barely adequate once I got past the overwhelming smell of moth balls. The hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. I had a hard time figuring out if it was dirty or just in such poor repair it looked dirty. The elevator would only hold two people at a time. And they tied trash bags to the railings instead of using cans. I always check for mattress bugs since some friends had bad experiences with hotels & bugs. There were no bugs but they was a huge stain down the side of the mattress. I was rather squeamish the first night but there was no where else to go so we toughed it out. I guess it could have been worse. I will not go back to that motel. They did have free parking & with in a reasonable distance to the beach.
"The worst and dirtiest hotel in the country"

This hotel should be closed by the Health Dept. After checking in , me and my wife wanted to get out and come back as late as possible. The room was smelly and nothing was working , even the outdated tv an broken toilet, which my wise almost felt down , because it was fixed to the floor. After coming back around 11 pm , called the help desk to complain , that towels were dirty and I wouldn't use them even moping the floor, got a message that the box is full and cannot accept any messages. We were trying to get another hotel , but unfortunately to late to find anything available on a busy summer weekend at the shore? We had no other choice and decided to stay overnight . In 15 min got across on a couple of cockroaches and there was nobody to complain to. Next morning after checking out I explained to the clerk about this and got worst attitude. I requested a full credit and after I left the hotel , got a phone call from the hotel, offering $50 . I refuse it and will stop my credit card to pay for this terrible night .

This hotel is perfect for a getaway with your friends. I threw my boyfriend's birthday party and had about 5 rooms filled with our friends. The hotel manager was so nice helping me book them next to each other and then with assisting us in parking all our guests' cars. The rooms are perfect for sleeping in with 2 large beds in each room! It's location is perfect a block from the boardwalk and it's reasonably priced. I would def stay here again we had a great time!!

All I can say it's very out dated, dirty and smelly. I asked my husband to drive back home for 2 hours instead of laying down in that bed. The bed was so cheap, sheets were stained dirty. I've never seen nothing like this before. I was surprised that for 171.00 a night stay it would look this bad. It's conveniently located near the boardwalk but after having all the fun, it's a disgusting place to come back to. Breakfast included? Yeah... A cheap table in front of the office where you check in that also looks nasty and dirty, with a coffee machine and some bagels on the side. That's your breakfast!! Pay $50 dollars more and stay in a decent hotel.

I was in Atlantic City for a film festival and stayed at the Red Carpet Inn. We had to pay in advance before we could see the room. The lobby was really old and dirty. The room, at first glance, didn't look half bad. The bathroom was clean and we where pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews online. We changed our minds when we flipped the covers back. The sheets were full of stains. Gross. The bed was held together with plastic and ductape. I guess location is ok since it's close to the boardwalk. I will not come back to either Atlantic City nor the Red Carpet Inn.

Chose this place for its proximity to casinos. paid $150 for a nationally known motel, didn't think there would be a problem. Checked in to a man behind bullet proof glass. Lobby was a hallway. got to room. Smelled moldy, Put overnight bad on table which I had to grab to keep from collapsing. Dresser was old, varnish was worn off . carpet was stained bathroom was dirty. Went to casinos and a show got back to room around 3 am. Decided to drive 2 hrs home instead of getting into that bed

This hotel is conveniently located near Resorts and Taj Mahal. We paid $70.00 for a king room. It was dated, dirty and worn. The smell in the hotel was indescribable. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The other guests were loud and disruptive in the early morning. Although not the hotels fault, we were awakened at 4:15am by a woman insisting we were in her room. We threatened to call the police after she knocked on the door 3 times. In short, pay a few extra bucks for a nicer place.
"More bad than good and some of the ugliness too!!"
09/10/13 cujoetta Vancouver, BC
Located in the back parking lot of Taj Mahal this motel had a few things going for it but only a few. It"s about a five to six minute walk to the boardwalk but the walk is a little sketchy although being a woman alone I never ran into any problems. The room was relatively clean, never noticed any bugs of any kind and the carpet although worn was vacuumed with clean bed sheets. The elevator going down to the lobby area was disgusting with a sign saying no more than two people. Because the room faced the road it was very noisy until at least 2 am which was a real turnoff. It wasn't the cheapest rates with paying over a hundred dollars for the room but it was a big enough room with a working tv. The worse part was the shower small with a stopped up tub. I would advise to avoid as I'm sure you can find much better.
"Great location, poor motel"
08/19/13 TravelTheWorld12203 Albany, New York
The motel was very close to the boardwalk & parking was good, a bonus. Didn't want to chance the elevator that had a sign that only two people can use it at a time--we took the stairs. The queen beds were comfy but I did check for bed bugs first. The bathroom had moldy grout which they need to replace or bleach. I asked them to replace my shower curtain as it was moldy and ripped & the shower is so cramped you cannot help but touch the curtain. Very polite people at the desk, and the Hostess cupcakes set out for breakfast were quirky.
