"Good place for the night"
Simple place to stay... Except for the bathroom air vent a bit to loud when turning on the light and the cigarette burns in the bed sheets. Besides that everything was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
This motel was perhaps the worst I have ever stayed in to the point that I couldn't wait for daylight to leave. It looks and feels just like the motels you see on TV, where there are ongoing drug deals and murdered people, blood splashing everywhere. Aside from comfy beds and prime location, there's nothing else awaiting in this hotel. Would not use […] again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, poor place"
We booked this place because it practically on the Boardwalk, but the surroundings and overall shape of the hotel is very poor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK place to stay if you need something cheap"
Old motel with old furniture, room was small but....bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked great, bathroom was clean, staff was nice and we felt safe when walking back and forth from our hotel to the boardwalk. If I ever needed a cheap place to stay on the weekend I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Don't bother, spend the extra money and stay away!"
Where do I start? I was beyond disappointed in this motel. I knew I was not checking into a 5 star hotel... but based on the other reviews that said it was fine for a night, I trusted Expedia and the previous travelers. I suppose the negative tone was set by the parking lot on the ground level under the first floor of rooms... I did not feel safe parking […] my car there. This uneasy feeling only got worse upon entering the lobby, a guest in line in front of my boyfriend and I, was fighting with the man at the front desk. Apparently her name is on a list of guests not welcome at the hotel. When she saw us waiting behind her, she let us go ahead of her. We got our key walked up the stairs and out the covered walkway to our room... I tried to look past the appearance of the hotel, the smell of the interior of the building and once we got into the room I looked around and decided that I would not feel comfortable sleeping here... let alone walking back here at night after spending time at the casinos. I didn't even walk into the bathroom.. I didn't want to see anymore. My boyfriend and I knew it wasn't worth our time to stop back at the desk... that woman was still there fighting with him... we drove over to the newest casino, Revel and sat in their lobby overlooking the ocean and booked another room at Showboat through Expedia. We got a last minute deal and it was a Thursday night, what we spent on 2 hotel rooms equaled to less if we booked on a Friday or Saturday night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Suited our need to be close to the casino concerts. Fun for friends to frequent the convenient access to casinos. Clean & simple. No frills can't beat the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Red Carpet Inn and Suites June 2012"
This hotel was fine for the price. The staff was great; incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the room itself left much to be desired. The towels were clearly dirty, so we asked for new ones. Also one of the outlets didn't work and the building was pretty run-down. However, we really weren't in the room a lot, pretty much just to sleep. On-site […] parking was available, which saved us a lot of money. The hotel was within our budget and we didn't have the highest expectations so it worked out. Another plus - the location was great. It was very close to the boardwalk and within walking distance to the major casinos. If money is tight, this is definitely a place to consider. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It's not special, it's not nice but hey it's a room and it's a reasonable price. If you're spending all your time in Atlantic City in your room then you're doing it wrong.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our stay at the Red Carpet Inn in Atlantic City"
Inn and Suits? There was nothing sweet about this place. It was dirty both in the rooms and the hallways. The lobby and the halls smelled. Entrance to the rooms were from the outside. The elevator was so small we were afraid to have more than one person in at a time. The management limits occupancy to two. It was so bad we were supposed to stay three […] nights and left after one. It was worth the additional money we had to pay to another hotel for the remaining two nights to get out of the Red Carpet Horror Inn and 'suites'. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, PS - don't even want to talk about the parking or lack thereof. There is such limited space management had cars blocking each other so people had to leave their keys with the lobby office so cars could be moved to let other cars out. Great security!!! "Don't judge a book by it's cover."
When we arrived at hotel I was a bit concerned as outward appearances are less than impressive. Upon entering our room I was very pleasantly surprised, our room was very nice and quite clean. I believe recently renovated from floor to ceiling including the bathroom. They were working on other rooms during our stay. King size bed was more comfortable […] than the one we slept in last year at the Tropicana. Hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. The price was great and only 1 block (big block) walk to the boardwalk. I would stay there again without even having to think about it.

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Cheap hotel to get close to the boardwalk"
When you come in the lobby, you can be a little afraid. But, the room is great and clean. It's cleaned up every day and it's perfect for the price. The hotel is 3-4 minutes from the Boardwalk and very close to Resorts, Trump Taj Mahal and Showboat casinos. Only 15 minutes of walk from the Bally's and Caesars where you can do whatever you want in Atlantic […] City. Jitneys are just passing in front on Pacific Avenue and can bring you to every casino you want for $2.25. So, if you want to be in the heart of action in Atlantic City and don't wanna pay too much, that's a great place to stay... You will be able to spend somewhere else... "Exactly what we were looking for!"

This hotel is perfect for a getaway with your friends. I threw my boyfriend's birthday party and had about 5 rooms filled with our friends. The hotel manager was so nice helping me book them next to each other and then with assisting us in parking all our guests' cars. The rooms are perfect for sleeping in with 2 large beds in each room! It's location is perfect a block from the boardwalk and it's reasonably priced. I would def stay here again we had a great time!!

All I can say it's very out dated, dirty and smelly. I asked my husband to drive back home for 2 hours instead of laying down in that bed. The bed was so cheap, sheets were stained dirty. I've never seen nothing like this before. I was surprised that for 171.00 a night stay it would look this bad. It's conveniently located near the boardwalk but after having all the fun, it's a disgusting place to come back to. Breakfast included? Yeah... A cheap table in front of the office where you check in that also looks nasty and dirty, with a coffee machine and some bagels on the side. That's your breakfast!! Pay $50 dollars more and stay in a decent hotel.
"I will not visit again"

I was in Atlantic City for a film festival and stayed at the Red Carpet Inn. We had to pay in advance before we could see the room. The lobby was really old and dirty. The room, at first glance, didn't look half bad. The bathroom was clean and we where pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews online. We changed our minds when we flipped the covers back. The sheets were full of stains. Gross. The bed was held together with plastic and ductape. I guess location is ok since it's close to the boardwalk. I will not come back to either Atlantic City nor the Red Carpet Inn.

Chose this place for its proximity to casinos. paid $150 for a nationally known motel, didn't think there would be a problem. Checked in to a man behind bullet proof glass. Lobby was a hallway. got to room. Smelled moldy, Put overnight bad on table which I had to grab to keep from collapsing. Dresser was old, varnish was worn off . carpet was stained bathroom was dirty. Went to casinos and a show got back to room around 3 am. Decided to drive 2 hrs home instead of getting into that bed

This hotel is conveniently located near Resorts and Taj Mahal. We paid $70.00 for a king room. It was dated, dirty and worn. The smell in the hotel was indescribable. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The other guests were loud and disruptive in the early morning. Although not the hotels fault, we were awakened at 4:15am by a woman insisting we were in her room. We threatened to call the police after she knocked on the door 3 times. In short, pay a few extra bucks for a nicer place.
"More bad than good and some of the ugliness too!!"
09/10/13 cujoetta Vancouver, BC
Located in the back parking lot of Taj Mahal this motel had a few things going for it but only a few. It"s about a five to six minute walk to the boardwalk but the walk is a little sketchy although being a woman alone I never ran into any problems. The room was relatively clean, never noticed any bugs of any kind and the carpet although worn was vacuumed with clean bed sheets. The elevator going down to the lobby area was disgusting with a sign saying no more than two people. Because the room faced the road it was very noisy until at least 2 am which was a real turnoff. It wasn't the cheapest rates with paying over a hundred dollars for the room but it was a big enough room with a working tv. The worse part was the shower small with a stopped up tub. I would advise to avoid as I'm sure you can find much better.
"Great location, poor motel"
08/19/13 TravelTheWorld12203 Albany, New York
The motel was very close to the boardwalk & parking was good, a bonus. Didn't want to chance the elevator that had a sign that only two people can use it at a time--we took the stairs. The queen beds were comfy but I did check for bed bugs first. The bathroom had moldy grout which they need to replace or bleach. I asked them to replace my shower curtain as it was moldy and ripped & the shower is so cramped you cannot help but touch the curtain. Very polite people at the desk, and the Hostess cupcakes set out for breakfast were quirky.
"A place to crash.."
05/20/13 Keith S Barrington, New Jersey
So, just like the title of another review, this place was about what you'd expect for the price. Pretty no-frills hotel that's in a good location and does the job if you only need a place to crash for an overnight or weekend in A.C. Not sure what people expect when they come on here and bash the place? I mean, you should kinda know what you're in for ahead of time based on the reviews and price. If you're only in town for a night or weekend, this will do. Check in was smooth, they have free, on site parking and the room itself was fine (if very dated). It had a flat screen, decent sized bed, a fridge, coffee maker etc. Pretty much everything you need for a short stay where you're not looking to break the bank on hotels. Have to say, if nothing else, it was very quiet the weekend we were there. Always a plus!
"One of the worst hotels ever!"
08/26/12 Suzanne L Gatineau, Canada
Stay away. We ended up there on August 16th. The room smell was horrible - like old socks and moth balls. The air conditioner did not work - it was sweltering that day. There was still hair left in the bathtub from previous lodgers. For $126 for that night it was the worst deal ever. Everything was old and needed updating. I think the carpet was 50 years old - it smelt that bad. Couldn't use the TV. I mean for that price you should be at least comfortable.
"About what you'd expect... maybe a little worse."

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in Atlantic City for 5 days. Hoping to save a little money, we opted to stay at the Red Carpet Inn over the weekend before heading over to Bally’s on Sunday. For the price, it was pretty much what we expected. But there was no way to exit the motel from your room… you had to go down into the lobby and exit there, which leads right out to the street. Fine during the day but anyone who’s been to Atlantic City knows you can bump into some sketchy characters on the streets at night. And it’s about a five minute walk to the boardwalk, so don’t stay here if you want to be right in the action. The room was clean for the most part. There were a few stains on the comforter (didn’t bother us, but I know some people get freaked out by that) and we had some problems with the TV (it had a mind of its own), but other than that nothing major. One thing we were kind of upset about… we always leave the Do Not Disturb signs up because we’d rather they didn’t go in and clean at all during our stay. But in the morning we couldn’t find one of those signs in our room, so we left, assuming that they would not come around to clean. We closed the curtain because we left all of our personal belongings right out in the open (a laptop, my purse, etc.). But when we got back to the room later, our curtain was wide open! The maid had opened it when she went in to clean. If I leave the curtain closed it means I wanted it that way. Aside from that, I do have to say, the older gentleman at the front desk was very, very nice and extremely helpful. Checking in was pleasant, and he always smiled and said hello when you came in. All in all, because of the location and the walk, I don’t really think this is the best place for families with young children. But if you’re not super picky and don’t mind the lack of luxury, this motel is fine, and a cheap option for a vacation in AC. P.S. If you get a chance, stop by Constantino’s right next door for breakfast. The service was great, and the food was pretty good!
