out of value="5""A little gem of an apartment"

I'd booked this break as a bit of a last minute thing, and had taken a gamble on the accommodation (thinking that if it were that appalling, at least we'd only have to stay for three nights). Whilst not usually lucky when it comes to betting, I can safely say that in this instance my daring paid off. The apartment was spacious, clean and well-appointed. Plenty of towels and spare bedding provided, appliances generally in good working order. Only a couple of areas for improvement as follows (but for the price I paid I wouldn't dream of complaining): bed was firm to the point of "ouch!" if you're skinny; shower fixture had broken and been mended using tape, and the electric kettle didn't work, but we'd been provided with a hob kettle so could still make tea/coffee. All in all, the perfect base for a mini-break!

out of value="5"Lochend invested a lot of money in our orthopedic mattresses and understand that some people like mattress either soft or hard so felt we found a happy medium with our selected orthopedic range. The shower head, we would not use tape to fix problems, we would replace the whole fixture to which we have ample in stock on site. When brought to our attention at reception we have a maintainer man who is in our complex from 9am-4pm to fix or repair basically maintain our apartments daily. So sorry that this was not brought to our attention but was when our specialized cleaners cleaned the apartment on your departure. There is a lighter to light the hob in your kitchen draw to light the hob. Sorry if you never came across this. But all the apartments do have them. Hope you enjoyed your time in Edinburgh and thank you for your feedback.

Excellent idea employing empty apartments as 'hotel' rooms, our trip was only spoilt by the overbearing stench of tobacco, left behind by the caretaker, and the bed which was harder than the stone of scone!

out of value="5"We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would like to say sorry for the Owner leaving his smell of his cigar, I am happily to say he has now gone to hypnotherapy to stop smoking and has successfully stopped. So this will never happen again.
