Dartington is a special place, a restored medieval hall. Very beautiful and the rooms are up to 21st. century standards. The one mild problem was the WIFI was touchy; one had to stand by the window for it to work. Very reasonable priced.

The hosts here are so friendly, the area walking distance to the beach and eateries, the rooms very clean and beds comfortable. We had a little trouble with the new heat system, but I am sure it is sorted out now. Wonderful delicious breakfast. I highly recommend. We loved the restaurant they recommended to us also.

This is a lovely hotel. We have stayed there a couple of times before and even though is was a "budget room" we had a sea view and it was also a large room. The only let down was the shower which was definitely not as goos as it could have been.The service was friendly and welcoming and the place had a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

All staff so very helpful and cheerful. Bar area with fire - very welcoming & pleasant place to sit as my husband & I were very tired on arrival. Lunch bar snack was great, wine & beer also good.. Our evening meal was excellent and such good value for money. Our room was situated in a quiet area and the beds were very comfortable although I felt the […] cleaning had been perhaps a bit hasty in the bathroom & overall a bit "end of season" in places - in need of some walls & woodwork washing down or repainting, but not something that spoilt our stay. Arrived at 9:20 pm and found restaurant closed so ordered bar food. Didn't get what I ordered but it was fine and I didn't bother to say anything. Staff really friendly and helpful, bar nice and comfortable. Good nights sleep and inclusive breakfast was excellent. Would happily revisit.

Good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, decent food and (astonishingly, on my last two visits) a real ale in the bar! Well organised - if they know they have a coach trip in for breakfast, they staff up for it. I've stayed here several times (handy for Exeter and Torquay) and will no doubt be back.

A nice comfortable hotel with good breakfast perfectly located for access to most of South Devon. We recommend the nearby Ley Arms in the village of Kenn as well.
