The place was cute.....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This place was very cute and worth the price. There was a small town charm and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I've never felt more welcome at a hotel before. My girlfriend and I also enjoyed Depoe Bay and the surrounding coastal areas while we were here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were surprised by the elegant furnishings, especially in such a small town. The breakfast (included in price) was simply fabulous!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"View the "world's smallest harbor""
Great breakfast included; creative dinners. Attentive staff. Unique views.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay! Warm, hospital staff. Cozy, charming room with terrycloth robes and lots of little extras, yummy Italian dinner, breakfast (included in room fee). We enjoyed our view of the boats in and out of the harbor- such a different perspective than the typical beachfront view. We can't wait to go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Enjoyed our stay. First time staying there & we will return. The outlets in the room need to be changed. The plug-ins were too large for our items we needed to plug in & charge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little get-away"
We loved this little place and will definitely be back. The customer service was the best! The staff is very accommodating and made us feel welcome immediately. "Interesting motel, but not for everyone"
We enjoyed our stay at the Harbor Lights Inn, but it is not for everyone. It is right down on the docks by a commercial marina of 75 boats. It is quiet at night, but the fishermen arrive in their trucks at 6 am, and it is busy all day. Their are hundreds of commercial fishermen and people on fishing tour boats right out your back door all day. You are […] about 100 feet away from the sink where they gut and clean their fish - not a sight for everyone. Also, it is not well insulated and the folks next door had a crying baby. Dogs belonging to the owners and guests wander the grounds freely. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The room was clean but pretty outdated. Recommended with the reservation that you must be tolerant of loose dogs and the sounds / sights / smells of a small marina. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

extremely nice stay. Breakfast was very much above other hotels with a free breakfast. Food was cooked to order. Great location with every room having a harbor view.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was nice. The only disappontment was that the hotel advertised a fireplace in every room and our room didn't have one. This probably isn't important to many, but to us it was. This was our honeymoon and I specifically wanted to have a fireplace in the room. The food was good, the wine list superb and service was excellent. Good breakfasts, helpful owners, pleasing location on the quiet harbor. The bed was very comfortable. It had a Bed and Breakfast feel. No complimentary continental breakfast here. You come downstairs to sit in a lovely dinning room overlooking the Harbor. We didn't have time to eat the 8:30 breakfast and arrived too late for dinner, but they specialize in Italian food. You can eat on the deck off the dining room and view the marina. "STAY ELSWHERE if you are asthmatic!"
The hotel smells of cigarette smoke, and it is prevelant in the rooms as well. This is supposed to be a non-smoking establishment and is definitely not. Pillows were so flat as to be nonexhistent, had to go to Fred Meyer in Newport and purchase some cheap ones that I threw away when we got home (because of the cigarette smell). Had to air out suitcases […] and wash all clothes twice to get rid of the smell. Just a hint, cover the drain in the sink to help with the smoke. Caretakers were polite, breakfast was ok, but way over salted. Bathroom is tiny as is the room itself. STAY ELSWHERE if you are asthmatic at all. My husband used his inhaler way to many times that weekend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location at Depoe Bay! Not oceanfront but next best overlooking the marina. Real wood-burning fireplace and jetted tub with plenty of hot water to fill it up. An airfreshener was working full-time, but there was terrible underlining smell of smoke in the downstairs hallway. "Lovely small hotel on the Oregon Coast."
This is a great small get away hotel. There are no children allowed so there are nice little touches like a small carafe of sherry in the room. "Fantastic little hide-a-way"
We were so thrilled with our stay at Harbor lights! It's a small inn, 13 rooms I think I heard. It feels more like a large bed & breakfast than a hotel or motel. The rooms are a little small, but nicely appointed, clean and very comfortable beds! We greatly appreciated the little details (brief welcome tour, cream sherry & dark chocolate as a welcome […] gift, nice, hot breakfast, warm, welcoming owners). We'd stay there again in a heart beat. Depoe Bay is a small community, no direct beach access to walk to, but there is a delightful small beach about a mile or two north at Fogarty Creek. The inn is adjacent to the harbor (the smallest in the world, according to a sign), which offered interesintng views of commercial fishermen coming and going. "Firendly with a View"
I was a little leary about the cleanliness because the hotel allows pets but our room was spic and span. It is on the little harbor rather than right on the beach and very peaceful. If you like to walk you can walk to the main street of Depoe Bay about 6 blocks. Where there are restaurants, seafood, bars, shops, art work, and a fantastic view of the […] rocky shore.

"Charming Depoe Bay Getaway"
01/10/14 l p Portland, Oregon
We stayed for the second time at the Harbor Lights Inn this winter and it was just as great the second time around as it was the first time. It's a delightful little inn with a cooked to order breakfast in the morning and mints and sherry at night. It has a great view of Depoe Bay and is close to shopping, whale watching, great hikes, beach walks, and of course outlet malls in Lincoln City. We've enjoyed our time there in the winter and the summer and we'll definitely be back.
"Cozy and intimate bed and breakfast"

Very clean and cozy spot with a beautiful view of the bay. The room had a balcony overlooking the bay, a nice fireplace and complimentary sherry and chocolate. The entire house was decorated in vibrant calming colors making for a relaxing and romantic stay. There was complimentary breakfast, which included sausage frittata or biscuits and gravy, coffee, oj and tea. If visiting Depoe, stay at this gem!
"A HIDDEN GEM ON THE OREGON COAST!"
11/14/13 Norm C Oregon City, Oregon
My wife and I stayed at the Harbor LIghts Inn over Veterans Day 2013 to take advantage of their Veterans special: Active Duty and Veterans stayed free Monday night and we paid half-price for the prior night's stay. We ordered their Prime Cut rib eye steak for dinner and it was the best tasting, most tender steak I have eaten in years! A gourmet breakfast is served every morning and you don't want to miss it! And the Hospitality given by the hosts/owners, Bob and Beni, far exceeds what you might expect: they are super-friendly, warm, genuine people who make you feel totally at home. And I was also impressed by the details in our room: the bed was made up in a special way other establishments do not, and the towels were uniquely folded in their own special way that added a nice touch to the private bath. Overall, if you want a slightly off-the-beaten-path, quiet hideaway on the Oregon Coast to luxuriate in while being pampered with amenities and fed gourmet meals, Harbor Lights Inn is your place.
"A very friendly and comfortable inn."

We stayed at the Harbor Lights Inn in September 2013. This is a lovely, cosy, friendly, quiet, clean and very comfortable inn. The food in the restaurant is first class and the view across the harbor is beautiful. The owners and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly, we would certainly recommend this Inn, it was a fantastic experience.
"PAMPERED AND PERFECT"
11/07/13 LYNETTE N ROSEBURG, OREGON
We spent two nights here for our anniversary. We have never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before because we like our privacy. We had our privacy and so much more. The owners, Bob and Beni, were so friendly and unobtrusive at the same time, we felt very relaxed and at home. I would go again in a heartbeat. The small bar is just what you need after a day of exploring and the food is fabulous. They have a small bistro and a small menu but it is all wonderful. The hamburger was probably the best I have EVER eaten.
"Tucked inn cozy & quiet"

Right on the bay. Couple blocks east of downtown overlooking all the fishing boats. The owners were very friendly. They have a all restaurant & bar also overlooking the harbor. We had a king bed and fireplace in our room. Gourmet complimentary breakfast. Highly recommend
"A Jewel in the Harbor"
10/13/13 WestCoastie Bend, Oregon
We only spent one night at the Harbor Lights B&B, but that was enough to know that we will certainly come back again. It was clean, cozy & quiet. The decor and newly upgraded changes were unique and hand picked by the owners, Bob & Beni. We came in a little late and had a late lunch before checking in, so we didn't get to sample the Italian fare served Friday and Saturday nites (Burgers & Beer during the week). We did enjoy some appetizers and wine later in the bar. Breakfast, however, was just perfect. Our room faced the protected little harbor and had a very comfortable bed. Only wished we had planned to stay longer. Next time!

My wife and I had a delightful stay at HLI. We enjoyed the view from our balcony, looking out over the small harbor, and watching the boats come in with their catch. The staff was very nice. The room was great; fresh, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed having a fireplace with a presto log provided. We ate dinner downstairs for convenience, but would do it again for a great, well prepared and delicious dinner. We brought a bottle of wine and there is no charge for corkage, which is great, and makes a fine dinner very economical. The breakfast was very good, also. We would recommend HLI for a romantic and fun stay in Depoe Bay.
"Sweet, quiet, what the Dr. ordered..."
09/17/13 Becca H Albany OR
Ok, imagine this. We just spent two days in Seaside Oregon over the Labor Day weekend. I think half of Oregon was there at the same time and while our room was surprisingly quiet, we did not leave the hotel for the first day and a half because of the large crowds. We walked to a few shops but the crowds were overwhelming. Leaving on Tuesday and headed to the hotel in Depoe Bay, we were hoping for a slower pace of life. Ahhh, just what we needed. We also never left the hotel, with a view like this, quiet, watching the boats come in and out and the food downstairs, why would you? The room was sweet, quiet, just the right size for the two of us. No fridge or micro though but they have a full size fridge downstairs you can put your stuff in which worked out great for us. When we checked in , he let us know it was burgers and brews night and although we ended up not having the burgers (had already eaten) we were sorry about it as they smelled heavenly. We did have the breakfast the next morning, wonderful Denver omelettes along with pastries, fruit, toast, etc. We were very pleased and full. The bed was comfy, room was extremely quiet. It was another unusually warm day for the Oregon coast and this hotel does not have air either, like most but does have sliders out to our private deck and a large ceiling fan. We left it open all night and I was worried about the noise we might here when the fishermen started coming in. At 4am, I looked out there and there was one car in the parking lot of the bay. 3 hours later, there were about 60 cars/trucks of fishermen that had left in boats and we had not heard a single noise. This was such a wonderful surprise, we can't wait to go back for some respite and next time we will wait to have dinner there!!! Exceptional!
"Exactly what we needed."

We booked here because it was close to a family wedding reception. Several other families ended up booking here too. What a pleasant surprise! Everything was great! They are pet friendly -- that was a huge factor but there were many other positives about this hotel/BB. Nice view of the harbor. Excellent breakfast (frittata or biscuits and gravy, cooked to order) with good coffee, juice, etc. Comfortable bed. A little taste of brandy waiting in the room. Really can't think of anything negative. The price was a little higher than we would have liked, but mid summer at the coast, dog friendly and a breakfast to boot -- don't think I can complain! It isn't a spiffy brand new hotel, but it is very homey and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
