My mother and I stayed at the Majestic Plaza for six nights while visiting my daughter, who is studying in Prague. The hotel is very convenient to the Metro (about 5 min walk) and Wenceslas Square. About a 10 minute leisurely walk to Old Town. The room (with two twin beds) was very clean and relatively quiet. We didn't hear any noise from the corridor. […] Our only complaint was that we ran out of toilet paper! But it was quickly replaced by a call to the front desk. The breakfast was nice - plenty of hot and cold choices. The dining room got very crowded between 8-9am with large tour groups. I just did a 3-country tour in Europe. Best Western was the best of 5 hotels I slept in. Great suite, in-room safe, air conditioning, yummy breakfast, friendly staff. I would stay there again.

Very nice hotel. We did not need a cab from the main train station because it was within walking distance, even with luggage. Everyone at the desk speaks English very well and is very polite. My only complaint is that the shower head in our room was off kilter and it was impossible to take a shower without getting the floor soaking wet (I am familiar […] with European showers so I don't think it was lack of experience!). We used several of the towels to mop up the floor. When I asked the front desk for an extra towel they said they didn't have any. So, careful of the shower. For the price this hotel was great. Extra bed with 2 twins accomodated our family with child of 5 yrs. Staff not that friendly, but we got what we needed when requested ie. adapter, etc. Breakfast was very good and much needed for the long days ahead. Careful of the Charles Bridge area and the musicians that play there-ripe area for pick pocketing.

Very nice hotel for the money. Wifi is free but signal is not strong enough in the room, so you need to go to the lobby area. Breakfast buffet was nice with lots of breads, cheeses, lunch meats, and desserts to choose from. Staff is outstanding. A few minutes walk to Wenceslas Square Old Town, and Charles Bridge.

very nice, clean room and bathroom, but... only one power socket in the room (!) - definitely not enough. free wireless internet connection was so poor and it was so slow that it couldn't be used at all. the two beds were not fixed together, so they would split during the night. some of the reception desk personnel were not very polite.

About a half mile from Old Town Center, not a bad walk at all. Convenient location, restaurants close. Rooms were standard, small European-style. B'fast buffet was standard. Overall, a great place to stay if you are there to enjoy the city and get a good nights sleep.

Least expensive hotel of our five city tour yet the best one we stayed in on the trip. Great location to attractions and public transportation. Very comfortable rooms with icy A/C. Good breakfast, great bathroom and bedding and free internet. A real bargain. Had to park the car at the SAS down the street but they had a Valet.

If you are Asian, you get really lousy service from Best Western; as the name of the hotel chain implies, service is Best only if you are western, and lousy if you are Asian. I have never seen such lousy attitude before from a 4 star hotel. Paid more to have better service and comfort for my family, but we ended up getting upset and it really spoit […] our holiday. I will never recommend Best Western to any of my friends and business associates. In fact I will make it a point to tell them to avoid Best Western. I will also ask my HR on monday to circulate a directive to all my companies not to use Best Western chain for their lodging. Read more

However, a night club in the basement, which continued through until about 3am and sent a thumping noise through the room eliminated all positive impressions of this hotel. The hotel has just been refurbished and the room we stayed is very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a good surprise as well because of the price we paid (very cheap). We also could enjoy a jacuzzi and sauna for 1,5 h for just 12 euros. Definitely worth staying there.

It should be called 'Worst Western Hotel although this may only apply to Prague In brief family and friends individually booked a long weekend for a special occassion. In short we arrived at the hotel late at night, after travelling most of the day only to be moved to another hotel and back again in the morning, the reason being that there was a strike […] on (this was true) we complaiend and asked to speak to the manager, unfortunately she was not availbable even after an appointment with her was made (what a suprise) The weekend was ruined as the a Hotel memeber of staff openly admitted that the management regularly over book and that the same thing would happen next week. The Czechs are not exactly the most customer service-oriented but the hotel staff were efficient and provided everything we needed (including a taxi to/from the airport - booked in advance by email).
