While this is an older motel, the rooms have been thoroughly updated and upgraded. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient to a variety of locations including Hollywood, Universal Studios, etc. Both my wife and I recommend Portofino.

I did not expect to find a hotel in such a desirable location for such an excellent price! I was very pleased with the accommodations. Safe neighborhood. Very close to restaurants, NBC, WB, Universal, etc. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Clean sink area. NO bedbugs! The hotel is not luxury, but rather an economical place to stay. Some downsides.. If you […] are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The hotel was not overly noisy, but I slept much better with my earplugs. We were in a king bed. My wife's side (near the wall) was in great shape, but my side (by the night stand, middle of the room) was much softer and not as comfortable. Pleasant staff. Buffet breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Quiet and conveniently located. Carpet and bed cover slightly worn. Otherwise, room was fine and clean. No door lock bar. Near very nice restaurant area (not walking distance, but close).

Very nice rooms. The microwave and fridge were very nice. Great internet connection. I wish there were an on-site washer/dryer available for the guests. I also wish the soda machine worked, because I couldn't get any water bottles out of it and was forced to drink water from the sink. L.A. water does not taste good.

From the outside it looks small but the rooms are so nice and it's very quiet. We were extremely pleased that we were able to get a room so nice on such short notice and we were treated very well by the staff.

Close to Universal Studios. The room had a weird odor and there were stains on the top sheet. Traffic was loud in the morning. One perk was it was close to downtown and it was nice walking around at night and the Mexican place we ate at was so yummy.

Basic but surprisingly nice room for price. Quiet, just off of I5. Not much ventilation so had to leave door open after utilizing facility (TMI). Plus not much of a breakfeast, just bread, muffins and coffee. Room had microwave and fridge so I kept it stocked.

Staff was friendly, bed comfortable, continental breakfast was decent - the coffee was good. The room cleanliness was a little off but overall a very comfortable bed. I found the satellite TV a little lacking as some feeds were inconsistent and artifacty - I never did figure out how to turn off closed captioning...but thats a TV problem and not a hotel […] issue.The hotel itself is near a busy intersection a couple blocks from downtown Burbank, but that was never a problem nor too loud. The breakfast was not great but everything else was great! The room was beautifully redone and quite comfortable. It was also only 4 miles from Universal Studios which was our destination. About a mile away, there was plenty of restaurants and a theater...would highly recommend!

The hotel was close to Universal Studios and other studios like Warner Bros. Easy access to the I-5 freeway. Close to Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd with a short drive without having to take the freeway. Recommended for a quick weekend getaway. The room was clean. A little overpriced, but for the location not too bad.

I will stay at the Hotel again. I think next time I'll know my way around better. Finding the Airport from the Hotel was difficult early in the morning. But the first time around always is. No fault of the Hotel however! Like I said I will stay at the Portifno Inn in Burbank again!

Everything was satisfactory EXCEPT the bed was Very Hard and Uncomfortable, I got NO SLEEP and the air unit is very loud. I wish there had been a pool also. It was a shame because if it weren't for the bed mostly it was a good value for a decent room. However, I won't go back because of the bed.

The room was really big and clean! The layout of the room is nice and it has a big sink outside the bathroom. There are also a lot of outlets for charging. The problem is, the room is not insulated very good. We could hear the people in the adjacent rooms and the banging of the doors. Also, there are not enough towel holders. We were very happy with our stay and the room. It was a very big room and had a sink outside the bathroom which is great. Also, all the amenities - refrig, coffee maker, microwave, etc. The hotel management were very friendly and helpful. The location was good for us to visit with our relatives in Burbank. Although it did look like a regular motel from the outside, the room reminded me of a room at a really upscale hotel. I LOVED how it was about a mile down the street from DOWNTOWN BURBANK. Downtown burbank offers so many places to eat/drink/socialize. Close to Universal Studios as well, took us about 5-7 minutes to get there. The hotel itself was a nice, clean building with good freeway access and interior parking with 24 hour video surveillance. The room featured a lot of higher quality materials which had an elegant touch. There was a mini fridge in the room and other nice ameneties and the towels were actually beige not white (a rarity) - although they were still too […] heavily starched. I only had two complaints: (1) The WiFi was slow and crashed a lot in my room, even though I was directly across from the lobby office and (2) the bed could have been a little more comfortable.
