I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. It was dark and dingy. The bathroom was so small I hit the walls trying to brush my hair. The counter was the size of the sink so I had to put my toiletries on the floor to use them. I wore flipflops in the shower because the tile was disgusting. The halls smelled like garbage. There were four […] outlets in the room but only one worked. The walls had some sort of black marks all over them. Didn't know what they were but it shows that this hotel does not bother to maintain it's appearance at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Just not worth the price."
For the price I paid, the room was small and dusty. When I turned on the a.c., dust blew everywhere and my allergies were triggered. On a positive note, I ordered from the room service menu. The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate my food allergies. Bed was comfy too.Genuine Expedia guest review
the beds and pillows were comfortable. the roll was so/so as far as being "clean" the showers we funky, very euro feel the iron and iron board were terrible. As a business traveler not friendly and the hallways were dark and uninviting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Terrible hotel for the price in DT LA"
For the price at 185/night, it has to be one of the worst hotels in downtown LA. Putting accent lighting around the bed and the wall does not make it luxurious. The bed was uncomfortable, shower stayed hot for less then 5 minutes and bagels/cereal is not a continental breakfast. Strongly suggest not staying in this hotel while in LA.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel rooms are creatively set up. Very detailed. The Finishing touches are sloppy. The rooms are not clean up to a high standard. They are certainly not dirty. Well enough. Breakfast was below expectations I expected variety in the way it was explained the day before. Location is perfect and de service is very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"all things considered"
Pulled up to the curb, found out "parking" was the public pay lot next door... $12/day... paid for a larger room with city view, was given what I would assume is the smallest room with an alley view. Front desk corrected quickly, but not a good start. Great nights sleep, and a very nice shower for an LA hotel. Started day two with a continental breakfast... […] cold pastries and coffee... returned to my room and keys not working... two day booking and another inattentive act by the front desk. Dinner at the restaurant was awesome, but they are light on the drinks unless you ask for something specific. After all this you ask "would come back?" and I say yes. The little bumps were outweighed by the quality of the total product. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Nokia but away from the crowd"
I liked it and would return. Someone reviewed it as "euro style", yes it is. Comfortable, clean, modern, smaller rooms, not a high-rise. Close walk but away from the hubbub that surrounds the Nokia. Less expensive too. Just was I was looking for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice location, mean service"
The facility was clean and quaint. The staff was very rude when we checked in and had attitude. To top it off we were given a room at the back which is right above a bar that was open until 2 am.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pretty good stay"
Hotel is very small. Staff was very polite and helpful. Great drinks at the bar but the food wasn't my cup of tea. Good location for Nokia theater/staples etc. Oh! The showers are really weird. Shampoo and soaps were nice though. Beds were very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Awful customer service!"
There was loud construction being done on the room directly above from our room, we called and spoke to the front desk to let them know that it woke us up at 7:00 am on Sat morning, they claimed that there was no construction going on.. Even said they went up and found nothing. My husband and I couldn't believe it, we went up to see for ourselves, sure […] enough construct was clearly being done. The front desk stuck to their story -and didn't not offer and apology. Awful!!! Please do not waste your money on this hotel, their website is deceiving, it's a run down hotel that over charges people. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Clean and convenient. The hotel is a bot dark and the entry to my room was in the stairwell, which I found odd, but it was clean and comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel is quite good, and I would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very Euro feel. Dimly lit , small lobby, too dark for my taste. Food terrific as was service. Parking awkward, no bell hops to help with bags from the city parking lot next door to hotel, but once there, it was a pleasant stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Boutique Hotel; convenient location downtown"
Great location if you have downtown business, particularly at the Convention Center - and if you don't want to spend Luxe or Ritz Carlton rates. Spectacular restaurant / bar; friendly staff. I always try to get a room here when I have business at LACC which is about twice a yearGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed overnight after a concert at the Staples center. The location is great, we were able to walk to the venue and near by restaurants, bars and grocery store. The hotel itself was pretty clean; the bedding was neat and tidy, but the furniture was dusty, uncomfortable chair at the desk, the window opens to a black, dusty screen that seemed to be precariously […] placed. The bathroom has a sliding door that doesn't completely shut you in, leaving zero privacy while in there. Whatever noise you make in the restroom is amplified throughout the small room. The sink fixture was made to look modern, but was too big for the space and seemed to be clogged as it filled with water. Lastly, the walls are thin. We heard every foot step above us, next to us and especially in the hallway outside our door. If someone is standing within 10 feet of your door, their conversation could be heard pretty clearly. Imagine a vacuum running in the hallway. It is certainly not one of those well-insulated, quiet rooms that you can escape to. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonably priced hotel in downtown LA"
This hotel was selected for it's reasonable price and location and it lived up to my expectations. Check in and out was easy. The room was small but functional. The bed and linen/pillows were excellent. Closet and drawer space was provided using an open concept and was just adequate. There was no tub, but the shower was spacious. I didn't use the restaurant […] but saw that a basic continental breakfast was provided. I would definitely use this hotel again. It met all my needs. I believe it's best for singles and couples, a family might have space issues. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Meh! Okay, but over priced for what you get."
The TV is really nice. The bed is okay. The room is small. There were skuff marks and torn wall paper in the room. The view from the window is fowl. It was a hotel roof full of garbage and run down HVAC ducts. The breakfast was pretty meh. The coffee cups were 4 oz at best. They charge you a $14 dollar a day resort fee for having 2 bottles of water […] in the room and for the breakfast. Both were things I could do with out. You have to go to the front desk for ice. I did enjoy the quiteness of the room. The total cost after tax and resort fee was $200 for 1 night. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Sneaky extra service charges!"
The hotel was nice, but they require an extra $14 service charge per night. This includes WiFi, and other amenities, but you have to pay it! Given the choice, I wouldn't have paid the extra and the idea that they wait till your there and unable to make other arrangements to tell you about the extra fee is horrible.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was cool but try to pay a bit extra for the view. Room was clean but a tub would be nice. The shower was hard to turn on and careful to what direction the shower head is pointing before turning it on.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and clean while in L.A. For work."
Quaint boutique hotel in the city center of Los Angeles. Perfect amount of space for my mobile office. Environmental control was at hand with the remotely controlled air cooler/heater. I was concerned about the infamous shower from previous reviews. There is a small space between the stationary plate of glass and the sliding door. "Trying to be an Aloft - but falling quite short."
Greeted at front desk with rather rude staff. Initial room I was given literally had no natural light as a block wall was directly outside of room. They upgraded me to another room but charged me an additional $40/night. In the new room, the mini fridge and air conditioner did not work and it took two days to have them both fixed/swapped out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small rooms, great location."
It was kind of perfect for what I was looking for, it was located just blocks from the Staples Center. I only stayed one night, were I to stay downtown longer I might have stayed elsewhere. This place isn't new and at $220 a night they aren't exactly giving the rooms away. But they are pretty inexpensive for the area, that means you get a lot of good […] looking young people staying there. Which also means that the paper thin doors do nothing to quiet the noise of these good looking young people crashing into the walls drunkenly at 3 in the morning. It is okay for a quick night, but were I to stay downtown for any length of time, I'd kick out the extra bucks and stay somewhere a bit nicer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Chic hotel, but not for me."
The hotel has kind of a chic european feel to it, but honestly, I wouldn't stay again. Mostly it's the showerhead, which doesn't point down, it points straight out. It can be taken off the holder, but the problem, when showering alone, is that the sliding glass doors leave a giant groove so that if the showerhead is pointed out, it floods your bathroom. Also […] annoying is the $14 a day "resort fee" that they charge for wi-fi, breakfast, bottled water in your room, etc...all things you can't opt out of, of course. It does have a very "cool" feel to it, but it's just not for me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Tres Chic close to USC"
This hotel has style. The lobby and restaurant/bar are sleek and contemporary. The room was inviting. Best of all was the convenient location for getting to USC and around LA. "Small, dark, not maintained"
Disappointing experience. Hotel online pictures not anywhere near reality. Although staff was pleasant and bar / restaurant is fine, the sleeping accommodations were way below expectations. Coffee and towel refill on 2nd day did not happen, lighting is poor and lack of window view didn't help. There was only one bathrobe, and it was shredded at seam. […] No tub. "Odd Botique Hotel"
This was an odd botique hotel in the middle of a city block. Upon arriving in the morning we walked into a dark lobby and discovered that all the rooms, elevator, etc. was decorated in dark tones almost night clubish. Not very inviting nor left a feeling of comfort. The staff was great, very pleasant and accomodating. Unfortunalty that is all I can […] say about this hotel. "Misleading - On our Honeymoon"
We stayed here for 3 days of our week long honeymoon. I must say, overall it was a little disappointing based on what we expected. We weren't upgraded when we mentioned it was our honeymoon, which was fine. (Every other place did) Our initial room had an air conditioner that made a horrible noise, and we had to down-grade to smaller room with a smaller […] bed for the night. The next day we were upgraded back to our originally priced room, and received one that was smaller, had a worse view (also, when it says city view, it means the building across the street. There is no real city view), and less amenities than the one we paid for and had in the 1st place. We just dropped it and stayed in it. The internet was absolutely horrible. About 50% of the time we weren't even able to connect, and when it was connected it was extremely slow. There was a private connection that they gave us access to, but it was equally as bad. Overall the hotel staff was friendly, and was helpful with directions and things to do in the area. The hotel itself was misleading and disappointing based on what we were expecting. Don't be fooled by the modern, sleek looking photo's and the claimed "city view." It's wasn't all what it was cracked up to be. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
For an inexpensive hotel downtown this is good. The rooms are a little dark. I wouldn't recommend it for business if you need to work. The sink is far from the bathroom mirror that had the best light. I couldn't put make up on as accurately. However, the bed was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff, good location for what we were doing"
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is not well lit, either in the lobby or the room. Bathroom has a sliding door which separates it from the room, and there is a half inch gap, so you can hear well between the bathroom and the room. Having said that, the hotel suited our needs, we had a good night's sleep, and bagels and cereal for breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small hotel downtown LA"
After searching through many hotels for a quick getaway I chose The O Hotel because it is located by LA Live which was where we were going to a concert (Nokia Theater). We checked around 5:00 p.m. before going to dinner and then the concert. The first thing that was surprising is that there is no parking at the hotel - no staff to assist with luggage […] - no valet - nothing. You have to park on the street or in the parking structure next door.. then come down an elevator, walk around (with all your luggage) out on the sidewalk and then enter the hotel. The staff is somewhat friendly. But not really overly nice. I was sitting in the lobby the next morning while listening to two of the staff members moan and complain about another staff member for about 20 minutes. Not very professional. A couple other things that are disappointing are; 1. The size of the room (so small) 2. A/C in the room is a bulky wall mounted a/c unit that is situated above the entry hall opening. You'd think with a full remodel/conversion of this place they would have put central a/c 3. The bar staff was not top notch. I had to ask 3 times for a lemon (while waiting 5 minutes) then I asked for more ice for my drink - they only give you one large ice cube. The bartender said she couldn't because it wouldn't fit in my glass. Hmm... I thought - well.. maybe I could get another glass with ice in it. 4. The bar/dining area doesn't open until 5 p.m. on Saturday. Nothing to drink til then! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The staff was great, however in the hotel good luck getting any cell phone signal and their wifi speeds were atrocious meaning not much work at all could be accomplished.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay for the price, not as nice as photos"
The hotel is okay considering what you pay for it. Very small rooms with a very European feel (which is typically not good in my opinion). The room was clean enough, but not great by any means. I would probably not stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
(1.) The cost of the room did not match the Internet price of $199.00/night. The hotel claims it was no longer applicable and I was charged $229.00; (2.) When I checked in, I was told the bottle water was complimentary; (3.) When I checked out, I was told there is a "resort fee" even though I did not use the gym facility, the wi-fi, eat breakfast, etc. […] I would not stay or recommend this establishment nor would I stay here again.
