"Excellent stay for outing at FedEx Forum"
Located close to eveything. Walk across the street to FedEx Forum, walk to Beale St.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Horrible Valet Service"
We pulled up with a roof rack for which we had called to confirm before we booked. 3 valets stood around and were not wanting to assist us both with parking the vehicle or the luggage cart. We actually had to push the luggage cart from the car to our room as the 3 valets stood there and had a conversation. Ridiculous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really nice place in a great location."
This hotel was very nice. Our room had two Queen size beds and was still roomy. The bathroom was spacious. It was very clean. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

A Block off Beale, next to Fed Ex Forum, Starbucks at corner, even got a glimpse of NBA BALLERS, you can't beat this!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice hotel. Mediocre restaurant."
It was fine. Impersonal but efficient hotel. Caters to large groups. Very mediocre and overpriced restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Westin is a great hotel. Bathroom could use a bit of sprucing. Last two stays showers were showing moldy corners.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Grizzlies Game"
We loved our stay at the Westin. It was directly across the street from the FedEx Forum and a block from Beale Street. Very clean with friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is nice and staff provided great service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
To be honest I was disappointed with our stay. The room was not ready at check in and if that was a king size bed it was the smallest one I've ever slept on. The location was great but I'll go somewhere else next time we go to Beale.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel, great location!"
My boyfriend and I just stopped in Memphis for the night on our way to Oklahoma City. My dog was with us and I love that there was no extra charge for him to stay in the room. I also liked that they didn't seem to put us in a room designated for pets which sometimes happens. The room was very clean. The hotel overall is very nice and it's a short walk […] to Beale Street. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel room key didn't work a forth of the time and the same key that was need to work the elevator didn't work half the time. Which meant that we had to go to the front every time we wanted to go to our room to get our key to work again. The fridge was stocked with soda, water, etc. that you had to pay for so i could not take it out of to put my own […] drinks without getting charged. They also didn't have vending machines to buy water or soda so that you would have to buy there extremely over priced drinks. Someone charged their $60 dinner to our room and they tried to charge us for it before we left. Thankfully they fixed it. The restaurant was SLOOOOOWWWWW and it was not busy. It took forever to be seated. The food was ready and sitting under the heat lamp for 25 minutes before they brought it out to us, so after waiting for 35-40 minutes for our food it was cold. While waiting for our two bagels and eggs (that cost $50 by the way) other people who sat down after us were served before us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location. For Beale St funGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking Distance to Beale"
Great location! Good amenities within the hotel: Starbucks, bar, restaurant. 5 steps from the Fedex Forum. Valet parking was completely inefficient & disorganized on check-out. Overall, we had a great time on Beale, and hotel was super convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel Everything Way over priced"
2 people check in, they give you 1 bottle of spring water and charge you 3 bucks for the 2nd one. You have to pay 7 bucks a day for wifi. just plain gouging. Found blood stains on bed cover and pillow. They make a huge deal about how great their beds are. Close to Beale St but I would not go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for the heart of the action"
Other reviewers are right, even high rooms on Beale St side will have some noise, but it didn't bother us too much considering the great views of the action. The hotel was smack dab in the heart of it all, a great location. We enjoyed walking to all the downtown activities. The maid service didn't get to our room, but we had gone out in the morning […] and come back and needed the room when they were ready...still a little disappointing that they didn't make it back after we left at 2pm. We had to wait a hour to check in. The website stated that check in was at 3 arrived on time no rooms were ready. Was told by the clerk that it wasn't priority and they were behind. The room we booked wasn't ready so they put us in a queen set up do we wouldn't have to wait any further. This hotel Is over priced in my opinion!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"rooms facing Beale Street need better soundproofin"
we stayed over on a Saturday night. I suggest you ask for a room that doesnt face Beale street if you want to get to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"worst experience ever"
This hotel has terrible customer service. I booked this hotel as a romantic getaway for my boyfriend and I as well as a recent concert for his birthday. The hotel was right across the street from the FedEx Forum. I booked on line 6 weeks prior to the actual date of stay and had multiple emails saying I was good to go. I know there were rooms available […] when i booked because i booked the exact day the concert went on sale. Come to find out when I checked into the hotel that wasn't the case at all. They apparently overbooked that night and put us in another hotel 6 blocks away. I asked why wasn't I called and told about this and I was told they didn't know. I asked how could your system allow you to overbook and they again said they didn't know. Because I was not informed of this I paid for parking at that hotel had to leave and pay for the next hotels parking. The hotel we were put in was not up to standards. I wanted a king size bed suite we were put in a standard two double bed room. You cannot treat customers this way and I won't be returning. If they had bothered to call me instead of emailing me saying everything was ready I could have found a better hotel than the one where we were placed. I was very upset they gave my room away Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"That will be extra sir!"
The hotel was very good. The bedroom was enormous with two queen beds. The bathroom was large with a bath and separate shower room with rain head and two flexible hose shower heads. The location was just off Beale Street and next door to the Gibson Guitar Museum, the Rock and Soul Museum and the FedEx Forum. Being so close to Beale and as my room faced […] that direction, the live music was audible in the room but it didn't finish too late. Given that this is a 4* hotel I was disappointed to find that it was run like a budget airline. I got the room but everything else was extra. The car park was chargeable, fair enough it was a downtown location, the breakfast was extra, the internet was extra - come on, it is 2013. The tv default channel was a pay channel and the free mainstream channels were not on the fist page of options and you need to scroll to the next page to find them. There was a notice by the minibar/nibbles tray saying that if something is removed and not replaced in 30 seconds it is charged for, not good if you don't speak English and have to examine them. There was also a notice next to the coffee machine to say that when the two coffee sachets had been used, further ones could be PURCHASED. Two sachets in a room with two queen beds! There was also no sugar or stirrers. It is not becoming of a 'good' hotel to indulge in these practices. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great room, great location....poorly stocked"
I would return to this (expensive) hotel, mostly for the location directly across from the FedEx Forum. However, the staff need to be more attentive to providing adequate towels and ensuring the in-room amenities, like coffee packs, are stocked. For such a high-scale hotel, these things should not be an annoyance. Also, its worth doing the self-park […] vs. valet....can save you $20 per night! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We spent the night after seeing the Eagles across the street at the FedEX Forum. The elevator sounded like it needed work, and to charge for wifi to me is silly for such an expensive hotel, but overall very niceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel right on Beale Street"
Overall, we had a lovely stay at the hotel. The only drawbacks were the little amenities - for the price of the hotel, one would expect complimentary bottles of water, or enough shampoo for two people. Perhaps even a tiny bottle of conditioner. But, no, we had to strain to read the fine print and learn that the bottles of water (which weren't even chilled) […] were $3.00 each. And the items in the fridge are on sensors, so you can't put it in the fridge for later. (Sure you can go get a bucket of ice down the hall, but what if I don't want to 'drink the water'?) And, for those not familiar with higher-end hotel practices, if you lift an item from the snack area or fridge, you have 30 seconds to put it back or the sensors will automatically charge your room. I saw this at the Venetian in Las Vegas, so I knew not to touch, but this could come as a shock to someone wanting to read the label of the $15.00 cashews. The beds were very comfortable and the room in general felt clean and fresh. There is ample parking at the adjacent garage, but it's not free (although, $10/night, is nominal compared to some of the others we encountered on this vacation.) Overall, the comfort and convenience of location would make me book this hotel again... I'll just make sure to pick up a couple bottles of water at the nearby shops while I'm out enjoying the city. "Westin Hotel Downtown Memphis, Tenn"
When we arrived, we had to wait in the street in our car for about 10 minutes, because the entry was blocked by a new arrival, but the car was not moved forward, blocking three empty parking spots. When we did get to enter the hotel driveway, we asked about self parking and were directed around the corner with no help unloading our bags. Our room had […] a broken makeup mirror, the complimentary robe was missing and wireless service was an extra fee. We were ignored in the bar for about five minutes while the bartender was conversing with another guest. Upon leaving, we had to carry out our own bags because there was no bell staff to be seen. Very disappointing stay for the room rate charged. We got better service at a discount motel up the street for 1/4 the room rate. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Watch out for the sensor on the mini fridge and snack bar. The shower was great. Bed was super soft and blankets felt amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No place to eat"
We enjoyed our stay with the exception of the availability of dining. The conferences were taking up several of the locations for private parties so the lines at the restaurants THAT WERE OPEN were very long. There were several restaurants closed if I remember correctly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Road Trip thru Tennesse"
It was a great stay. Rented two rooms. Very comfortable and clean. Staff could not do enough. Very friendly personnel in all areas. We were on a 10 day road trip and considered the Westin was the best.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Beale street - alot like Bourbon Street"
4-star hotel had over 50 college kids there...they were loud, unruly and plain noisy, i.e. loud in hallway, running, laughing until 2-3 in morning. Woke both myself and wife multiple times in the night. We will never go back.Genuine Expedia guest review

We spent three nights in Memphis. I have been to Memphis several times and this is the first time at this hotel. We knew coming in that being close to Beale that we would hear the sounds of Beale so that was not an issue for us. The staff was very good. There was an event going on next to the hotel the day we checked in so the valet' parking was moved, […] but the staff made it seem like there was no issue. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient for weekend visit"
Room was not ready at 3:30 when I tried to check in...less than half hour wait, but still not ideal. The only problem with location next to Beale Street is that occasionally a drunk hotel guest pounds on your door by mistake at 2:30 AM before realizing he meant to pound on the next door over. No sense calling front desk as I'm already awake, but c'est […] la vie in party town. Good bar and restaurant for de-toxing from BBQ and Fried everything. Good hotel. About a block around the corner from beale, so keeps it quiet. Nice lobby and friendly staff, good clean roomGenuine Expedia guest review
When we got there it was in a good location but the rooms never would cool off. Next day we went to the service desk and they came to change the air filter. It was disgusting !!! It cooled off somewhat after that. Water in the rooms are 6.40 each. REALLY??? You can buy 48 bottles of water for that!! A rip off I must say. Then they had snacks on the […] dresser if you hold them for more than 30 seconds its bill to your credit card!! Rip off!!! I'll definitely stay else where next time!! "Great Hotel BUT........"
The hotel was clean and nice and the staff was great! The only problem we had was our air went out on the first night and instead of moving us to another room they fixed it..Which they did the following day at 10pm Meanwhile still checking in more guest while we were miserable! Other than that.GREAT PLACE and GREAT LOCATIONGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to Beal Street."
My family and I went to Memphis as a quick get away. Our main purpose was to visit Gibson. We found the location perfect (directly across the street form Gibson). The staff was knowlegable and friendly except for one lady that was a little snippy about the room keys not working. The room size was spacious. We did stay on the Beal Street side and you […] can hear the music until 3:00 a.m. We enjoyed the noise. We did not bring our dog, but was delighted to see that the hotel was pet friendly incase we decide to visit again. The elevators work by room keys which is a safty feature I really like. I would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hotel, great location"
I went with a group of 5 ladies and we had such a blast! The location was perfect, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The shower was wonderful! I was worried before we checked out because our breakfast took over an hour to get at Miss Polly's. I almost ran back to the hotel to check out before noon and the young lady at the front desk was so nice! […] She offered to extend our checkout until 1 so I could go back to enjoy my breakfast. I have already told people how wonderful the hotel was and plan to return there in November. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Westin! The hotel was fashionable and clean and the staff was very helpful. The best part of this hotel was the array of amenities. Our bathroom had both a separate shower and tub and plenty of fluffy towels/robes. The gym was fabulous and by far my favorite amenity! They had state-of-the-art equipment and loads […] of extras (cold towels, regular towels, water coolers, scales, extra headphones, etc). We will definitely be staying again whenever we go to Memphis. "All about the money!"
Starting from the time you pull up in front of hotel the charges begin. You get you choice of Valet parking or self parking, what they don't tell you is that if you just pull into the parking garage and pay the city you would save about $13 per day. It is the same parking lot the only difference is who you are paying and how much. Everything about this […] hotel on surface is great but underneath it is all about getting more money from you. Make sure you read the tags on the water, one is free and the other is not. Just a little frustrating considering how much hotel stays are to begin with. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
