"Good hotel but breakfast way too expensive"
Stayed here for one night. Would stay again. The only negative comments would be the breakfast and the dining room. The hotel breakfast is way too expensive and somewhat average. And the staff really don't cope that well when it is busy (they're all over the place). We also had no hot water in our room the following morning which was a tad annoying. The hotel made up for it though by giving us a free breakfast each (at our request of course).

"Excellent Stay!"
Beautiful building, excellent location (especially if coming in by train!), very comfortable, and reasonably priced. If you don't need hi-speed, wi-fi can be accessed for free--if you do, the prices are about what you would expect. Overall, no complaints!

"Old style - next to the train station"
Stayed there for one night on my way back from St. petersburg. Picked this because its 5 mins from the train station and we could walk. Despite being away from the city centre, its only a few metro stops away. The hotel is a very old historic building and has its own charm. The room was standard. I wasn't too happy when the travel desk sent us to the wrong metro station when there was a much nearer one. Otherwise no complaints. Was a short stay. The breakfast is ok, but not worth the price. I'll probably eat outside the next time. Would i stay here again, only if i am getting on or off the SPB train. Otherwise city centre works best as there is really nothing nearby.

Overall fairly average and therefore disappointing for a 5* hotel. Breakfast was not of the standard I have had in other Hilton hotels. Good location for an overnight close to the train station for St Petersburg.

"Excellent hotel in Moscow"
Could find no fault with this hotel and staff very friendly and helpful. Could even borrow an umbrella for free from them. Its abit out from the city centre but only 7 mins walk to nearest metro and 3 stops to the sights like Red Square. Its 5 min walk to Leningsrad train station to get the train to St Petersburg.

"Good choice for the east side of the city."
Good hotel - beautiful building, stunning lobby. Rooms were nice, although I feel Hilton needs to work out where it's going in terms of what market it aims for. You have on the one hand a nice hotel, but on the other they have bottles of water on the side in the room available to buy for extortionate prices. Feels half luxury, half value.

An opulent hotel, interesting decor, staff generally courteous though staff in lobby had difficulty in handling dinner for a large group (11 people). Took over an hour for pizzas to come. Expensive breakfast with less variety. convenient fro train station and metro.

"A good, well situated hotel"
A very enjoyable stay at a good quality hotel. Well located with easy access to multiple transport options. The executive lounge is not worth the extra money, the food/drinks in it are so basic that I would not really eat any of it even for free.

"Good for business off the beaten track for leisure"
Efficient, clean, spacious rooms, this solidly built hotel is near the train station but off the main tourist track. The free wifi is excellent, at 2mbs its certainly not worth paying the premium for anything faster. Breakfast can be busy but there is a wide choice and the staff are attentive. Avoid the high floors as the one downside are the lifts, there simply aren’t enough of them and the wait can be annoying, which is the only deficiency in this reasonably priced, but good quality hotel. I would happily return.

"Just fabulous!!!!"
We were allowed early entry to our room on 5th floor, I was not happy with this inward facing floor, they changed it to the 15th floor with an incredible view after I complained at the front desk. I was so looking forward to our stay in this unique ' Seven Sisters 'amazing building and Hilton didn't disappoint from the huge comfortable bed/pillows to the friendly staff. We just hated leaving our room every day.:)

"Nice hotel"
I have stayed at this particular hotel a number of times and have been quite pleased, especially for the price. The only improvement that I would like to see would be the attentiveness in the restaurant at breakfast. I wouldn't say this was bad, but just that it could do with improvement. You can't complain too much as the price is fairly reasonable (especially in comparison to other 5 stars in Moscow)!

"Beautiful building located near Metro"
The only bad thing about our stay at the Hilton Leningradskaya was that it was too short! The staff were all excellent, especially Igor who helped us with our bags to the nearby station for our overnight train to Moscow. The hotel is absolutely stunning inside. The room was lovely although we were disappointed that there was no bath or bidet. All in all a wonderful place to stay, conveniently located near a station with a direct Metro line to the Red Square. We definitely recommend.

"Comfortable stay all-round"
Booked in an executive room for a couple of days over Easter. Quite conveniently placed with respect to the airport and metro (once you figure out how the metro works). Service staff were very friendly and the rooms were quite good - comfortable beds. Only room for improvement is that the showers could have a bit more pressure - although that's probably more a personal preference. Breakfast in the restaurant is comprehensive also. Well done.

A fantastic hotel, clean space and helpful staff on the whole. The lobby bar was the only negative with bad service. The local area is not so nice but it is right next to one of the main metro and train stations.

the hotel is really nice - very good service and rooms large and very comfortable. it is expensive for extras hotel cab, drinks etc but i think moscow is. they charge for wifi in rooms but not in the lobby. overall a very good location for getting around don the underground.

"Good Hotel but poor management"
I had arranged pick up from Bolshoi Theatre. There was no taxi waiting and after half an hour of waiting we took another taxi. When we reported this to the concierge she claimed that the driver had been waiting for over an hour. When we advised her that it is impossible since the driver was meant to wait with a hilton board and we didn't see one for half an hour. The concierge advised us to wait in the foyer for the driver to return. We waited for over half an hour after which the concierge advised us that I will need to speak to the manager the next day. As we were checking out the next morning I went to settle the bill and speak to the manager. The front desk included the cost of the transport in my final bill and when I advised him that this service had not provided he spoke to the manager and removed the transport costs advising me that there will be no charge for a service we had not received. I had believed this to be the end of the matter but the hotel had other intentions as they have used my credit card to charge me for a service I had not received. I emailed the hotel to remove this charge which they have ignored. i have contacted the credit card company for this refund. i cannot believe that a hotel of this stature would use devious means to charge for service they have not provided.

Lovely hotel we had a great stay, only real negative was the optional £20 per day charge for WIFI in the rooms. Free in the lobby but why not free in the rooms also. Internet is not expensive so why does the Hilton have to charge for it?

The hotel was fairly easy to find. As it is a big hotel, I think it lacks a little bit of the "personal touch" which you may find with slightly smaller chains or independent hotels. I did not really do that much around the area of the hotel but the Metro Station was practically opposite the hotel and it was only 4 stops bu Metro to Red Square. Although the hotel is nicely decorated with original features, I found the price of the hotel (like many in Moscow) rather expensive and don't think if offered great value, especially that it did not include breakfast or internet use in the room (you have to pay more for that facility). However, free Wi-Fi was available in the lobby.

overall my stay was excellent. I arrived late evening after the restaurant was closed and they kindly cooked from the restaurant menu and served me the best food i have ever tasted in Moscow. The pool is nice and the gym is well equipped for a hotel gym. My only minor grumbles were that the wifi is poor, poor signal and slow. It is also very expensive. The restaurant is also very expensive but the quality is high. additionally at busy times the lifts are not adequate to carry the numbers of quests.

"Moscow hilton review"
Perfectly fine hotel....although there are better options closer to the centre if you want to go and see the sights. Close to the metro however so only ten mins to red square etc. Pretty good gym and pool and the staff were very helpful. I do wish they would ban smoking though!

"Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere"
Metro is not very close, there is no restaurants in the vicinity, in the evening the neighborhood looks desolate. Rooms are worn out and poorly maintained; in basic rooms there's only a shower stall (mine was leaking water no matter what). True to its tradition, Hilton nickels and dimes you to death. You want internet? Pay! Oh wait, we can''t take credit cards today. If you sit down to use "free" internet in the lobby, you will get harassed to death by waiters to order their $40 pizza or burger. Wanna go to the sauna? Sorry we are closed today. Tomorrow we won't have towels. The list goes on. The only good thing is, their beds are nice. There are nicer hotels in Moscow in better locations for the same price.

"Classic and sober style in a Soviet-era landmark"
Nothing bad to declare, except for a strangely (given the hotel high rank and good overall service) scant room equipment (only one bathrobe for a double room, few and rather small towels, scarce toiletries). All the rest was extremely pleasant, from the absolute lack of kitsch in the rooms (a rare feature in Russian hotels) to the admirable kindness and discretion of the staff members (neither sullen and disgruntled nor stiff and pretentious or servile).

"OK another Hilton"
Moscow is expensive and so was this hotel. The location although close to public transit is a bit isolated if you just want to go for a walk in the area. Having said that it is very close to three railway stations including the one for the train to St. Pete. as well as the metro/subway which is excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful Gothic revival building built by Stalin (One of seven of these buildings in Moscow). Public spaces are quite grand. The room that we had was nothing special but had a nice view looking over the busy area that fronts the three railway stations. I could hear the trains rumbling through during the night. The first night there we ate in the hotel restaurant and found the food not very good and quite overpriced.

"Let down by internet"
Great hotel, but charging for internet is out of date. The money you pay for the rooms to not have free internet is a shame, it spoils this hotel.

"Excellent Hotel"
This is a landmark Moscow hotel in one of the famous 7 Moscow Seven Sisters buildings built by Stalin. A true classic. An honour to stay there if you understand and appreciate the history and significance. Lobby is magnificent, rooms are very nice. Service is excellent. Prices a little high but expected from a 5-star hotel. Free Wi-Fi in lobby bar. Close to Metro and train stations.

"a piece of history"
A great hotel in a superb building. The location within Moscow is not central, but the metro is close with easy links in and to and from the main stations - it is literally over the road from the station for the St Petersberg train. We stayed because of the history of the building and had a great experience. Very professional and friendly staff, and worth the price of a beer in the bar to sit in the amazing lobby!

"good experience"
I would rate the hotel 4.5 if the review format allowed me to. Very good concierge service and the competence of english better than in most other establishments. Spacious room. Hotel is next door to the train station with links to St.Petersburg which I found very useful. It is about 25 min of brisk walk to the city centre which is one of the two reasons I did not give it a rating 5 as it would be an issue for some people. However there are excellent transport links (two metro lines plus numerous buses) and anyhow I quite enjoyed walking into town. Secondly, as is always the case with Hilton hotels I stayed in, breakfast is very expensive at around 30 pounds (1325 rub.) depending on the exchange rate (rarely included in the price unless you are part of one of their loyalty schemes) but you can always eat out in one of the numerous eateries nearby. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

"Fantastic Hotel"
The Hilton Leningradskaya is a magnificent building with all the grace and style of yesteryear with the quality of the 21st Century. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and often despite the language barrier endeavored to ensure our requests were met. The cleanliness of our room and the hotel in general was first rate. Any requests were met immediately. The only flaw would be the amount of chlorine used and the lack of refreshments available at the pool. The location was a little further from town than indicated but once the Metro Rail System was mastered all major venues quickly became very accessible. Should we ever return to Moscow the Hilton would be our hotel of choice.
