Le Dune Sicily Hotel - Catania

The hotel grounds are beautiful and it's about 15 minutes from the airport. The staff was friendly, but spoke little, English, however they tried. There's a bus out front that goes into Cantania and a good Chinese restauant two blocks away.

. The hotel was great. Directly across from the beach. (Warning the beach is not as clean as you may expect) If you see a tour bus near the hotel, skip the restaurant! I was given bow tie pasta with caned sauce and bad house wine for E30. I believe the restaurant was overly busy and could not handle the crowed. I wasn’t even offered a choice accept […] beef or fish. I had to ask for bread. This is NOT your typical Sicilian restaurant. Two blocks from the Hotel in either direction you will find MUCH better food. I could not lower the hotels rating because of my dining experience. The rooms were clean and the bed was equally comfortable to any I had encountered in Sicily. As long as you eat somewhere else this hotel is perfect. Close enough to the airport to make it convenient but not so close you get the noise. Read more

The staff were basically off hand. There was no food to be had in the dining room in the evening as they were feeding large school parties. Breakfast was one of the worst I've had for years. I felt sorry for the kids. The bar was shut the night I stayed but I got some wine that they suggested I drank in my room - I sat in the entrance hall. Pieces of […] shutter fell off when I closes it. The shower door was trying to fall in on me and I've no idea how someone larger that 5'2" and 81/2 stone managed to get in it....maybe that's why the door was trying to fall off. A taxi was needed to get there and the metre was decidedly dodgy. One of the most expensive rides ever. Read more

Rooms and building are very nice. No food or bar service in the evening, dreadful breakfast, nowhere else to eat/drink within walking distance. Not an area to walk around at night.

Emplacement trop loin du centre ville. Bruyant. Accès plage dangereux et plage pas propre. Le personnel de l'hotel n'est pas souriant et ne parle pas,français. Prestations très décevantes. La tv ne fonctionnait pas correctement. La climatisation dans la chambre est tombée en panne. Aucune infos données lors de l'accueil sur le fonctionnement de l'hôtel, […] ni les excursions possibles. l'hotel è in una struttura in bella posizione sul lungomare, bello esternamente, con giardini e piscina, ma le camere sono piuttosto fatiscenti e non molto pulite. Può essere adatto ad un soggiorno turistico, ma nel mio caso (soggiorno per lavoro) non lo raccomando
