Waldorf Suite Firenze - Florence

The best part of staying here was the free upgrade to a suite we received. It was awesome! It was clean, quiet, staff was nice and helpful.

Could not pick a better place to stay in Florence Italy. This hotel is a quick right turn out of the train station and there you are. Fabulous suites with modern decor and very european. Staff was great and the location could not be better for a tourist. I would skip their breakfast at the prices they charge and go around the corner to the local cafe for coffee and pastry in the morning. Make sure to spend a day in Tuscany with a guide or on a guided tour. The most beautiful countryside you may ever see.

This hotel is exactly what you expect -- a corporate stay suite with a reasonable attempt at being "Fashionable" However, the whole place stunk of human sewage. Avoid.

Beautiful hotel, modern and clean with friendly service. We didn't find the location noisy at all, unlike some reviews, despite being right accross fron the train station. Our room (suite) was spacious and comfortable and was without a doubt the best quality for value hotel we have ever stayed at in Europe. Great restauants and tourist sights within easy walking distance and beautiful views of the hillsides and Florence from the balcony. Don't stay anywhere else!!!

Very comfortable and very very large rooms. Near the station and within walking distance to everywhere. They do talk about a room with a view in Florence... well, we did have a view of the train station lol but come on.. Florence is so small that one can walk anywhere in minutes. I highly recommend it and will certainly go back to this hotel. Well fit for business and pleasure. The rooms are to die for. The outside of the building looks well dodgy but i can assure it is the only rundown part of the hotel.

We were only staying for the one night while waiting for a flight, I'm not sure that all rooms have the issues we had but they are as follows 1. The bathroom and hallway on the 3rd floor stank like a bad plumbing. 2. The shower didn't have a shower curtain and so the bathroom turned into a lake. 3. The noise! The noise from the adjoining rooms and the street outside was so bad it was like it was next to the bed. 4. The "free wireless" signal was so weak that we picked up the next doors hotel first! The internet kept cutting out because of the weak signal. On the positive side the staff were curtious, spoke English and were helpful.

The hotel rooms are big and in execellent conditions. Everything about the rooms were great. The hotel service was good, friendly, and staff is very professional. Location is great - very thing in walking distance - easy to get to the autostrada. If they're are rooms available definitely book it. Don't worry about wasting time looking at other places. My only tip - which applies to all of Italy - bring your own iron to iron your clothes.

We were blown away with this place. Amazing suite with two modern rooms and bathrooms for the two of us. Sleek design, even a jet tub. We liked the room better than Florence! Just off train station but safe and nice area. Still walking distance to all the sights. Best place we stayed in all of italy, hands down.

Great contemorary decor! Very roomy! My only complaints are there is no large sign on the outside so it was a little difficult for us to find when we walked out of the train station, and we put up a 'do not disturb' sign and the maid came anyway. Other than that our stay was wonderful! The breakfast included was great!!!

AMAZING room for the money. Two adjoining suites with 2 full bathrooms. However, the shower did not work in one of the suites and there was no light in the entrance foyer. Also, we had to go through this ridiculous maze to get to the breakfast hall. Otherwise, staff was friendly and helpful and hotel was clean.

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean, spacious, chic mod luxury style at a great price. Friendly and helpful staff. GREAT location right across from the main train station, and within walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops, etc in the area. Also conveniently within walking distance to car rental locations (Europcar, Hertz, and National) as well as cell phone shops if necessary. Highly Recommended.

The hotel was wonderful, and is so close to the train station and only a ten minute walk to the Duomo. There was construction though that started at 7 am everyday. So if you need to be up early, it won't impact you, but it is extremely loud. I would just check to see if the construction is still going on before you book your reservation.

Very nice suite hotel, with two separate modern baths, a courteous English-speaking staff, and all expected amenities. Hotel is adjacent to the train station, and Florence is currently constructing a new local transit system from the station. Construction is ongoing, and noise is a serious issue. Until construction is complete, light sleepers should request a room on the back side of the hotel (not facing the station) and on an upper floor (floor 3 or 4). Also be aware that the hotel appears to be changing its name to "City Residence" or "B&H City Residence". If reference to Waldorf Suite Firenze comes up empty, you might try one of these names. Finally, hotel is a little hard to find. Look for a narrow doorway with blue lighting above the entrance. Hotel is at 10 Piazza della Statione, and is between a coffee bar and a pizzeria.

This hotel is part of a chain of hotels in the area (B&H). Whilst we were booked into the Waldorf Suite we were basically staying next door in the Hotel Ambasciatori (even the porter came from the hotel next door). This is accessed via a myriad of corridors and obviously knocked through wall. Our room had a lovely view of the bus terminal though so shouldn't complain. Breakfast was entertaining. After a 20 minute wait (probably because they were over booked) you get to sit a listen to all the other guests horror stories. One poor lady even had to shower in a recently vacated room as hers was broken. This hotel makes Fawlty Towers look good.

Hotel is located just to the right of the station when exiting towards the Duomo... just to the left of the station if facing it (there's no sign for Waldorf!)... once inside, you'll be pleased. It's clean, modern, friendly, and well-located. The neighborhood is much easier and nicer than guidebooks would have it, so ignore them! We had a super nice double room that had a total of two baths and three beds. Ample closets, good cleaning services, a good breakfast (excepting the coffee!), and supposedly a bar (it wasn't open much during our stay, nor was room service available for anything other than breakfast...). Get coffee downstairs on the corner at the cafe, it's inexpensive 1.3E and very Italian in nature. Several decent restaurants are on the same block, or go in to town in 5 min walk one is at the duomo, and other attractions. A decent bus tour of Tuscany is also available at the desk. Construction noise on the station plaza was going on during our stay, but without that, the room would be very quiet. Nice large windows open up or can be blocked off with nice, heavy shades. A great place overall.

The hotel is  very modern, the rooms are really big and comfortable (ours had two bathrooms and a small living room) and the location is very good. The only problems was the noise from a construction coming from outside that obliged us to wake up at 8am. The windows could be double glazed to avoid that.

La dependance, pur con belle camere, ben arredate, è inserita in una struttura fatiscente, piuttosto buia (dalle finestre interne si vede degrado). L'albergo vero e proprio è invece molto attraente. Un neo, la colazione è servita in un altro hotel (piuttosto vicino)

L'Hotel gode di una posizione molto centrale davanti alla stazione si SM Novella. L'ingresso non è molto visibile. Ci è stata assegnata una camera in una struttura separata dal corpo centrale un po' scomoda da raggiungere. La colazione era servita nell'Hotel adiacente e non era eccezionale.
