After cruise stay over.
We arrived late morning after leaving our cruise ship and received a warm welcome from the receptionist. She said we could leave our bags while we scouted around the city a few hours until our room was ready. The hotel has a lovely mix of Art Deco style and modern updates. The original gated elevator was in great working order and large enough for luggage. Our room was on the fourth floor. Large windows on two sides, one with a corner view of the dome of a nearby church. The modern room was extra large with king bed, sofa, chair, desk and desk chair, and mini-bar with sink and fridge. We stayed three nights and the hotel was very conveniently located near the San Telmo street fair and a few blocks from Plaza de Mayo and subway. There is a nice terrace and breakfast buffet on the top floor (7th) with a wonderful view. On the day we checked out we were allowed to leave our bags in storage until late afternoon as we had a 9 PM flight. After we had toured more in the city that afternoon and returned to the hotel for our bags, the receptionist offered us shower facilities before our taxi arrived. We were very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again.

Business Option, enjoyed more than Hilton
I ended up here after being at the Hilton Puerto Mederas for 3 ninths. The Hilton had no space for me when I extended a trip. The hotel exceed my expectations. It was clean, with high ceilings and large rooms. The bed was fine and the towels were as soft as the Hilton. Location was excellent, easy walking to San Telmo and Puerto Madero. Would return, even if Hilton was full (Note Hilton was 2.5x as expensive for a basic room). The restaurant downstairs in known as one of the best wine cellers in BA.

Relaxing at Moreno Hotel
Moreno Hotel is situated on a narrow side street at the edge of San Telmo. When you see the street, you'll think you've made a mistake. But once inside the entryway, you'll be amazed. The walls are covered in beautiful tiles and the elevator/lift is incredibly antique. You have to open and close the folding doors yourself. Please close them when you leave the elevator as it won't work for anyone if a single door is open, breaking the security circuit. Stained glass decorates the windows in the stairwell surrounding the elevators. The Very Large rooms are incredibly comfortable and definitely live up to the Very Large size description. Breakfast at the rooftop cafe/patio is very nice and so is being able to go up after dark and see the city lights of Buenos Aires. The hotel is a little slice of paradise in a bustling city. Despite being on a strange little street, the hotel is very close to everything you want to see. Only a few blocks from Puerto Padero and Plaza de Mayo, museums, restaurants, and cafes.

Fantastic
This place is a hidden gem. The room was a loft of the size I have never seen. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Free breakfast every morning on the terrace. Very close to Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, and other important places.
