This was a reasonably priced hotel in a good location. The condition of the room was a bit worse than expected, in need of paint and new carpeting. We also had some problems with the shower leaking. It was reasonably comfortable and quiet within short walk to major sites.

Location is nice however hotel a bit run down with black painted corridors with black curtains. Room not very clean. During 5 day stay, single soap was never replenished. Hotel is called newtechnology or similar but most of the computers, printers did not work in the hotel. The hotel had the potential to be very cool and is in a great location. The rooms were large and comfortable. but they were starting to look run down and the carpets were quite disgusting. I would have expected a higher quality for the price paid, at least impecable cleanliness.

Stayed at Petit Palace recently and found the rooms quite cramped for a family of four. Our room was situated at the back of the hotel over a school yard where children played and screamed incessantly which did not allow for late a.m. check-out sleeping. They were really cute, however. loved the laptop and free internet access in every room. Their family room allowed us to have a large king-size bed and a bunk bed for the kids. location in Eixample area is perfect. While I was there only for a night to watch a football match, the staff was very attentive to all my needs. The hotel is very trendy, with great design although I truly despise that spanish custom of placing two separate beds. Location-wise its within walking distance to most sights and has excelent access to the metro. Overall a great experience.

The room was not very well cleaned. There was a broken crayon on the ground presumably left from the previous stay as well as other bits not vacuumed. The water pressure of the shower was dismal. It was not up to my expectation for the price we paid. Location is very convenient and staff is helpful.

Nice and clean, great for a short stay. Located only about a 10 minute walk away from the main shopping area. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. Only complaint is that we had to rquest a couple of things that had been promised as complimentary, but no other issues.

The family room we ordered turned out to be a double room with a small extra space containing bunk beds, plus a slightly bigger-than-average bathroom, which was disappointing. The room was a little dirty and the service slow. Halls and corridors were poorly lit and very dark.

Very clean and functional, the staff were extremely helpful on checking in and out, no problems whatsoever. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, but far enough away from the hustle (and hassle) of Las Ramblas etc, so that you can enjoy a peaceful stay in Barcelona. Would definitely return here.

I booked this hotel based on the "star" rating (4), the reviews, and the over all rating on Hotels.com website. The hotel was cold and impersonal.The staff were attentive but with no sense of warmth.The decor was very somber,lots of red and black plastic. I think it was trying to be modern but it didn't work ! It lacked atmosphere. The first room we […] were given was very small with a curtained window looking out at other curtained windows. We asked to change and were shown a room which was larger, looked on to a courtyard and other windows so you still had to keep your curtain closed. We discovered later that evening, that there were no bedside lights, that the bed was folded down from the wall, and you couldn't sit up in bed to read because you would fall down the gap behind you. This room also had a fax machine and a pull down projector screen.Not you average hotel room.... The next morning we asked if there was another room available and were shown firstly, our original very small room and then a room which looked like a normal hotel room, ie had a window looking on to the street and what looked like a normal bed with bedside lights. We were told it was actually a twin, but we decided to take it as it was better than the other two.Unfortunately the twin beds don't make a good double, as they slide apart with very little effort ! The bathroom door in all three rooms doesn't have a lock and was made of frosted glass, that may bother some people. On the plus side... there was no extra charge for this room and the sound proofig was good, we didn't hear any street noise. I was very disappointed with the Petit Palace. I booked the trip to Barcelona as a surprise birthday present for my husband. We loved the city but we didnt enjoy our stay in the hotel. Read more

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We were looking forward to returning after our first visit a couple years earlier as it was a decent hotel in a decent location. Well, never has the term 'gone downhill' been more applicable!! Not just the service experience but the cleanliness and maintenance levels were the worst offenders. We were so […] disappointed after the positive experience of our first visit. The carpet floors of the bedroom were actually dirty - i kept my shoes on. There was mildew on the caulking in the bathroom and you couldnt touch the glass shower wall as it was loose and falling out. Everytime we needed something we had to ask over and over again. The worst example was that we had run out of clean laundry late in the 2-week vacation, and prepared a bag of clothes for pick-up and washing. Despite calling the bag was never picked up - leaving us in quite a jam. Never again will i make the mistake with this hotel. Hopefully others learn from our experience. På baksidan av hotellet så ligger det en skola plus skolgård med en massa skrikande barn som är ute på gården och leker. Har man dessutom oturen så att man får ett rum med fönster ut mot skolgården så kommer man höra de skrikande barnen ännu mer, från morgon till kväll. The staff is very kind and aimable. However properness and cleaning is not a priority. The shower cabin had previous guest items and it was not removed int he 3 days I stayed. Also the service level, when asking for example towels is not reacted on. Hotel has great location, walking distance from airport bus.

L'Hotel e' in una bella zona, le camere sono molto spaziose per chi viaggia con bambini, noi siamo in quattro genitori e due figlie di 16 e 4 anni. L'unica pecca sono le rifiniture, la sedia aveva la pelle sbucciata i battiscopa da risistemare ma nel complesso un buon hotel.Non un 4 stelle comunque.

Et lite og trivelig hotell i hjertet av Barcelona. Kort avstand til Plaza Catalunya (hvor flybussen stopper), og La Rambla. Svært vennlig og hjelpsom betjening. Pluss for gratis internett og pc på rommet. Eneste minus var at døren til bad/toalett ikke hadde lås. Rommet var rent og pent. Pluss for liten balkong. Her kommer vi gjerne tilbake!
