"Perfect Holiday Weekend"
We cannot say enough good things about the Omni Bedford Springs Hotel and their staff. We went over the 4th of July holiday weekend when the hotel was sold out. Even with the full house, the staff worked hard to accommodate our needs. Even the best hotels in the world strain under full capacity, however, the Bedford Springs facility and staff just shined.

"Relaxing stop between Philly and Pittsburgh"
What a charming, wonderful historic hotel! The Omni Bedford Springs is a place for relaxation and rejuvination. I arrived late, but still took advantage of the lovely hiking trails, the indoor pool and the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try the spa services! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh -- great mid-way point for an overnight!

"Beautiful historical hotel with superb service"
Excellent hotel. There is a lot of places to explore including some hiking trails on the property. The pool is fantastic: warm enough and quietly luxurious. Spa is wonderfully relaxing with a wide array of services offered. Staff was warm, knowledgeable and welcoming. All services including food is pricey but in life you need to pay for quality. Worth the cost.

"It's worth it. Enjoy!!!"
We went to Bedford Springs for a mini birthday get away. While I enjoyed the Spa, my husband enjoyed the lovely room. We had dinner at the Tavern which was fine but menu is very limited and the food was just o.k. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the Tavern and were going to enjoy the fire but elected to skip the fire. You can really just walk around the hotel and enjoy all of the history. We also liked walking around the golf course. We enjoyed the breakfast in the dining room the next day. We have not used the pool in all of our visits but it looks beautiful. This is about our 3rd or 4th stay at the Omni Bedford Springs Hotel.

A perfect place to be with your family. Wonderful landscape end a historic building. Near by the small cities of Bedford and Altoona are interesting to be visited. The hotel itself has such a great food and very friendly employees. There are 3 restaurants inside the facility, a nice fitness room and such fantastic pool. Out side the beautiful landscape invites you to keep moving and enjoying yourself.

"Charming get away"
We had a very pleasant stay at the Omni. The staff were courteous, attentive, and eager to please. The regular rooms were a little lackluster for the price, but upgrading to the deluxe spa room helped to equate the value with the experience. The deluxe spa rooms have a shower stall with rainfall shower head and nice tub as well. If you get a room with a nice view then the value is even better. The hotel itself is quite beautiful; lots of history and quaintness mixed with many modern comforts. There are two fireplaces in the lobby and countless nooks and crannies to sit and read, enjoy a glass of wine, work, etc. We were there in the winter so there was not much to do outside of the resort. I imagine that during the warmer months it would be a lot nicer. The restaurants on the premises are nice and the food was quite good, but the prices were also rather high so probably not quite worth the price. Luckily, going into town provides other options for food and some nice shopping if you like browsing antiques.

"Lovely facility. Gracious staff"
Hotel is historic and beautiful. Grounds are lovely. Not a fan of valet parking, but understand the limitations of space nearby. Surprised with obvious maintenance issues left unattended - gouged baseboards or chipped paint. There was clearly water damage on the floor of the spa just beneath the towel rack in the women's shower. The marble was stained. Some sign had been removed from a door and the damage had not been repaired. I found it odd that the mattress and box springs in my room were smaller (by approx. 8 inches) than the bed frame. Bare plywood was visible. My windows were dirty and there was a spider web that could have captured a hawk! The hotel sits in a gorgeous pastoral spot. There are lounge chairs to enjoy the outdoors with a book or just take in the scenery. But there is the "omni-present" sound of Sirius/XM radio. It's seemed so inconsistent with the period setting of the hotel. Instead it reminded me of Chernobyl. It was also so loud that it diminished my ability to rest or read, which I found unfortunate.

"Nice but easy to get lost"
We liked the hotel but actually needed a map to find out where everything was. Our second day, no one cleaned the room but, that evening, someone did turn down the unmade bed, emptied the trash and put fresh towels in the bathroom. It will be a lovely place once they figure out our two complaints. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

My husband is from the area and has fished in the near by streams but has not been back since the hotel was restored. It was our 50th wedding anniversary and we decided to celebrate it at the hotel for a few days. It was lovely the staff were all very nice and our room was beautiful. Dinner at the Crystal Room was expensive but great service and execellent food. Enjoyed the Tavern in the evening hours and for lunch. Hope to return again in the near future. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just a girls get away weekend at the spa,

"Beautiful, gracious hotel."
The hotel is in a beautiful area of Pennsylvania and the town of Bedford is charming. We booked a resort view room with a porch a month ahead of our early July stay. Our room did not have a porch but was a nice size. It was in the spa section, conveniently near the pool. The service at the pool was poor. A late lunch took a very long time and lounge chairs were not cleared so it appeared that none were available. If someone had bothered to take the wet towels off of the lounges there would have been plenty. Overall, A nice weekend but not worth the price.

After reading all the rave reviews on this hotel, I expected that it would be the perfect relaxing getaway before the birth of our first child. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet expectations. There is little to do at the hotel other than lay by the pool, go to the spa, or golf, which I knew in advance. But, the pool was far from relaxing; it was a madhouse of unpoliced kids splashing around and generally being kids. It was packed. There were no chairs available when we arrived and there is no waiting list for chairs, so we, along with numerous other guests, were left to stand on high alert for 45 minutes until we could jump on a chair that another waiting guest hadn't already claimed. We were further annoyed when we overheard the group next to us bragging about how they'd given money to a pool attendant to secure them seats. Sure enough, five minutes after they arrived, and even though numerous guests had been waiting much longer for chairs, the attendant came back to them to let them know chairs were opening up. When we eventually beat out the competition for a single seat (yes, we had to share), the woman next to us said she'd originally planned to stay through the next day but wouldn't be because she couldn't enjoy herself by the pool. It was bad. There are also zero umbrellas by the loungers at the pool. To get an umbrella, you either have to pay for a cabana (and there are only about 6 of those), or you have to sit at a table where you'd otherwise only go to eat. Umbrellas are a pretty basic necessity these days, so we were very surprised they weren't available and it definitely took away from our enjoyment of the pool. The pool was also either understaffed, or staffed with inexperienced people, because it took on average 45 minutes to get a drink once it had been ordered. Basically, it appeared that the hotel was booked to capacity and the facilities and staff were unable to accommodate all the guests there. I'd recommend either expanding by at least d

"Quick night away for our Anniversary"
My wife and I stayed for one night as a quick getaway from the kids for our anniversary. We thought the resort was great - from the friendly service to the cleanliness of the hotel. We hiked the yellow trail (not more than a simple walk in the woods) but it isn't something we normally do so it was nice. We also had a fabulous dinner in the 1796 room. The seating arrangement is pretty neat but for some I can imagine that it could be uncomfortable if you get seated on one of the couches (me and the wife on the same side, very close to other guests at a normal 2 top - so you are basically watching them eat their food). We definitely plan to come back at some point to enjoy the spa, pool, golf and the outdoor fire pit.

"Hidden historical gem"
Never heard of Bedford Springs before but found it on the internet and glad I did. Lovingly restored resort with really interesting history. The staff were all so polite and friendly and took pride in the hotel. Enjoyed a weekend there. There are three restaurants on the premises, a steak house, a bar/tavern, and a dining room that services buffet and ala carte breakfast, lunch and upscale dinners. We had the breakfast buffet (very good), dinner in the dining room (I enjoyed mine very much although my husband said his chicken was so dry it was pretty unpleasant), and dinner in the tavern. On the whole, dining options are a little pricey, but nothing crazy (hey, we're from Philadelphia), and mostly good. I would recommend staying at the resort to eat because the town is small and there aren't many options.

"Very relaxing and surprisingly upscale"
The great experience of this hotel begins the moment you drive onto the grounds. The landscapes are breathtaking, and the valet and door greeter are authentically sincere and welcoming. We looked forward to a simple two-night getaway to escape from the chaos of busy work and family life. This resort exceeded our expectations. The restaurants were top notch, the spa and grounds well exceeded our expectations. The beds were very comfortable, albeit a little too many feathers for my liking. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire pit both nights, roasting marshmallows, and chatting with other hotel guests. We can't wait to come back.

"Overall above average"
I had a late night check-in and departure early next morning due to an unplanned personal business obligation. So I cannot provide a realistic feedback on the overall experience with the resort. But a few things I can tell from the limited hours spent is that it's first glance onsite is somewhat mesmerizing. Some added functionality based furniture would make the rooms better. Such as only single sofa or chair doesn't suffice a family's relaxing sitting space. The dine-in space was way smaller than that of standard hotels with King Size rooms. TV and phone sets were really older models, from 1980's. Some prominent sign posting to guide first time-vistors/drivers at night is a must-do recommendation to the hotel management. My navigation took me straight to the loading dock and there weren't any sign postings or info board etc as which direction to follow to get to the front. There wasn't any sign posting on the main road toward the main resort/ hotel either.

"This is a great place to just relax"
This was my third stay there in eleven months. Beautiful location and historic hotel in the Cumberland Valley. This hotel has a fabulous spa, an award winning golf course, thirty miles of hiking trails, a great fire pit in the evenings and the best beds I have ever slept on. The hotel staff in every department will bend over backward to make your stay enjoyable. This hotel is also only 25 miles from the Flight 93 National Memorial site and about 80 miles from the Gettysburg National Battlefield. It is located in the beautiful Allegeny Mountains and is also only about 90 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Fallingwater. The whole area is rich in history and natural beauty. I would certainly stay there again as often as possible.

Spent one night and had a great time, the hotel is totally refurbished and clean with many things to do. you get a real sense of history staying here, it used to be a resort in the 19th century because of all the natural springs in the area, I guess back then clean water was a luxury. We did a hike on the well marked trails, sat by the firepit, had an excellent steak at the restaurant 1796. was a good experience I would recommend it
