Some maintance issues;cold sink facet needs to be fixed, TV reception in Gym not good, requested smaller slippers-not provided. Breakfast was really good. Hotel was very quiet, did not feel like a great hotel to hang even though staff was very pleasant

The hotel facility and room were exquisitely appointed. A lot of detail and thought went into the decor and the physical amenities. However, the guest services were lacking, especially given the price of the hotel stay. They did not have full room service. We wanted an early breakfast, but the chef that prepared hot food was not on the premise until […] 7:00 a.m. We were served the cold portions of our breakfast before 7:00 a.m. and they planned to serve us the hot portion of our breakfast after 7:00 a.m. We eventually cancelled the not portion of our breakfast and went to a local bakery. The Hotel Le Mars team were very gracious. But that was because they had to constantly apologize for guest services the hotel did not provide. The desk staff and valet were especially hospitable which softens my criticism. A few additional small nits include (1) there was a bottle of wine in the room but the hotel did not provide a wine bottle opener. We had to request one. (2) there wasn't a pen to write with in or on the desk. (3) Check in time was 3:00 pm. We arrived at 3:20 p.m. and our room was not yet prepared. The price and the physical location is very upscale. Bu their lack of services, especially in relation to food and beverage amentities makes other possible venues in the areas (B&Bs, Healdsburg Hotel) more appealing. Read more

The perfect hotel experience. Exceptional service, beautiful spacious room, and charming touches throughout our stay. Quick easy check-in. We entered our room with the smell of flowers and soft music, and a complimentary bottle of Chalk Hill wine. We were served fablous wine and cheese in their beautiful Walnut lined library. The complimentary breakfast served in our room was a perfect way to end our stay. I am somewhat of a hotel snob and this recent stay exceeded my expectations. A beautiful hotel. It is strange though that there is no fridge in the room. The breakfast we ordered was delayed a quarter of an hour - may be important to guests who have to leave the same day at a certain hour.
