"White's - nice hotel"
White's is a clean and comfortable hotel in the center of Wexford, within walking walking distance of all the sites described in guidebooks. Breakfast was included and there was a large variety of hot and cold foods. The bar restaurant was comfortable and the staff throughout the hotel was friendly and accomodating. Wexford was an interesting little […] town. However, my 2010 guidebook provided winter hours - and what I found was that almost everything was closed. Call ahead if you are going off-season. Went with my wife and 3 month old child, staff were friendly and v helpfull, hotel was clean, efficent, modern and every time we left the hotel to go down town we couldn't wait to return. Definately will be returning and highly recommend this hotel.

i have to admit the staff was very nice and helpfull and well organised. we arrived early as we attended the wedding but they gave us the room anyway. also they looked after the parcel we ordered to be delivered to the hotel. also the food was great and breakfast hours were flexible. however the room was very small and not really impressive. the bathroom […] was poor, specially the lack of shower curtain was very annoying as the whater was splashing all over the place, including towel hanger. and leisure centre was big dissapointment: locker room school-like standard, dirty showers with limited water, no drinking water supply, sauna was cold and steam room wasnt working. the pool was full of school kids and their teachers were very loud. not possible to relax. for the money we payed i have to say it was a waste and even though so happy with staff we won't recomend this hotel to any of our friends. "Whites of wexford"
This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and was chosen because it has a very relaxed atmosphere in which we needed to unwind. The hotel is located close to shopping area and other tourist areas are easy accessable. The staff we found to be friendly and helpful.

The Hotel was easy to find and very welcoming. The room was good and the breaskfast excellent. Bathroom a bit mouldy around the corners - the only fault.
HOTEL VERY GOOD. THE ONE BAD THING IS THE LIGHTING IN THE ROOM. I HAD TO REQUEST A SECOND READING LAMP AND THE PLACEMENT OF THE LAMPS BESIDE THE BED ARE FAR TO LOW FOR READING.

Very busy hotel, sometimes late in afternoon before room was cleaned. However rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Great location in heart of city, 5 minute walk to bus station.

This was our second stay at Whites of Wexford. 3 years ago the hotel had just been refurbished and everything was shiny and new, so it was nice to see it still looking good. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast plentiful with lots of choice. We tried out the pool and jacuzzi for the first time too and they were both wonderful. We ate […] in the Library Bar on Sunday night and the smoked chicken pasta was excellent. A burst light bulb in our room was quickly replaced but we didn't have wi-fi in the room so had to take our notebook down to reception to use it - just a minor inconvenience. I was extremely happy with my stay in Whites. Everything from the room to the bar & restaurant was just great. the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was a bother to them. my only negative about the hotel was that both mornings when we tried to leave the car park our ticket wouldn't work in the automatic barrier machine. however, a memeber of […] staff came promptly each time and opened the barrier for us. other than that i couldn't recommend it more highly for service with a smile! Stayed in Whites of Wexford for four nights in August 2011. Found the hotel were not capable of managing crowds. On arrival at 6.30pm, our room was not ready. When we finally got to our room, which couldn't of been any further away, it wasn't great. It was run down looking, with all the furniture in the room needing a serious upgrade. The bathroom was […] filthy too and every time we showered, it drowned the whole bathroom! Not a great experience at all. We seemed to be in the old part of the hotel but I believe the newer part was beautiful but unfortunately we didn't get to see it. We satyed for a two night break, everything was great about the hotel except for the breakfast, the hot food is served to you at a hot stand when you have chosen your food it is then put under a grill to heat which we thought very strange, if you wanted an egg well done they left your food plate under the grill for longer which put a crust on the eggs […] and slightly burnt the rest of the food - this is the only complaint we had, the hotel should think of changing the way thery serve breakfast Read more

Nice room, great views of Wexford harbour.Not really a 4 star hotel, more a 3 star, but good location. The swimming pool & spa area were a disappointment due to the fact that its not only for use of the Hotel guests but its a open facility for anybody walking in from the street,so its too busy with families with children, very disappointed, the same […] goes for the bar, coffee area, therefore we didnt use any of the facilities. "Brilliant location"
Whites is in a briliant location right in the middle of Wexford town which is a fabulous place to spend a couple of days. It's a very pleasant way to view all of the town by wandering around, taking time to browse in book shops; admire the fishing fleet; check out the old ruins, sample the Guinness which was according to my husband fab in every pub […] we stopped in apart from the pint in Whites unfortunately. We loved Sky on the Ground's sessiun on Monday night - where else would you get it. And fish and chips in Sharkeys. Read more

Good 4* hotel rooms and food are good also staff at reception friendly and helpful. The only down side I felt is that the hotel caters for large tour groups we were unable to get a table for dinner for 2 nights so had to have bar food and to go to town on the second night. The room was OK but the en suite was not. There is no shower tray in the room so the whole room is a wet room and if you use the shower you end up paddling in water around the toilet and wash basin. apart from that everything was fine, the staff were excellent.

we stayed in Whites of wexford recently for 1 night, on arrival there was a strange smell in the lobby area - put it down to the flowers but it wasn't nice. check-in was a bit haphazard, checked in prior to the room being ready then when we returned they couldn't find our booking or bags as we'd been fully checked in and bags were in our room!! Overall […] impression of the lobby area was that it's nice and bright, although reception should be more of a statement - 3 small desks don't an impressive reception area make! good coffee doc area, plenty of comfy seats but muffins/scones/danish pastries all out on the bar uncovered?? I like mine without other people coughing or sneezing on them thanks! The room was fine, we had a wet room not a bathroom, which again was fine. only issue was the toilet and sink both blocked....luckily just prior to checking out. location is wonderful, right in the middle of the town, close to everything with ample free parking for residents. didn't get to try out the facilities but I've heard only great things about the thermal suite/pool area. all in all it was grand, would probably recommend it but I wouldn't rave about it but then maybe my standards are too high?? This was our first stop on a tour of Ireland. Great hotel, central to Wexford Town and convenient for the area. On site parking very handy. Excellent breakfast, freindly staff. I booked a 2 night stay as part of a tour around Ireland for my wedding anniversary. I was most disappointed to be put in a room at the back that had scaffolding at the window and looked out onto a disused courtyard/derelict building. I asked to be moved a was upgraded to a nice suite with seaviews. Breakfast was poor, no cold meats/cheeses and no crossiants […] on the first day with a shortage of bread as well. You are required to wear swimming hats in the hotel pool, these cost 3.5 euros but your not advised until you get to the pool, this is a rip off! Read more
