"The Eagle Inn"
Three friends and I spent a couple of days exploring Santa Barbara and stayed at The Eagle Inn. It was very easy to walk to many restaurants, shops, the wharf, beach, and other sites of interest. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
For the price they could have a person at the front desk 24/7. They can only guarantee one wake up call per day for the whole building. The room was a little smaller than average. I'm sure I can find a better place for the same price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good location and architecture"
nice architecture, friendly staff, good location. Easy in and out. Nice breakfast. Street noise after 7:30 am so if you want to sleep late get a room that faces to the parking lot.Genuine Expedia guest review
We usually stay at a 4 or 5 stars hotel, but Eagle Inn is just as nice and it is more personal. Wonderful breakfast with excellent service. I would highly recommend Engle Inn!Genuine Expedia guest review
Lovely inn...comfortable bed....room small but we only needed for one night....great having breakfast included....Handy to beach and shops....Highly recommend...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Upgrade to #225"
If you want a lil cottage that is styled for a perfect romantic getaway or a girls weekend of sightseeing, you should upgrade to Cassita #225. Located on the property but on the back side, it looks like a small home that they renovated into this cute lil cottage. A large Jacuzzi tub, double walk-in shower, super fluffy bedding have made this "not your […] Granma's" cottage. Oh, and cookies when you walk in and breakfast in bed!! Don't worry, very secure so no "big bad wolf" to worry about either. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beware of Room Choice"
Stayed here based on excellent reviews. Sold out weekend- Stuck in room 102. From the room you can hear every conversation in the lobby. You can hear breakfast being served in the morning. It is next to the stairwell so you can hear people coming in late that live above you. (Room 101 seemed to be in similar shape).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming, Comfy, Convenient Location"
I loved staying at the Eagle Inn. The Inn has charming architecture, it's within walking distance from Amtrak Station as well as the Harbor, the beach and Stearns Wharf where you can catch shuttles to anywhere else you would like to go. The staff was so nice and helpful and took a personal interest in making sure that I had a quality visit and was able […] to get to and see everything I wanted to experience on my visit. "Great quiet place to stay in Santa Barbara"
The San Clemente cottage of the Eagle's Inn was gorgeous, spacious and very clean. The little touches that they added made the room very pleasant and home-like. We will definitely stay in this inn again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fabulous Location by the Beach"
We enjoyed staying there. We had a beautiful queen room with many windows. The location was wonderful near the Pier and many restaurants including a wonderful Fish restaurant. It is in a residential neighborhood with other inns around it. The woman at the desk was a little cold when we arrived. I guess she was a bit tired. There were chocolate chip […] cookies in the lobby. The breakfast was alright. We enjoyed going to Sambo's for breakfast one morning very much. It is only three streets away from the inn. It is a lovely inn and we would consider returning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pleasing SB spot"
The hotel is like 5-7 minute walk to the beach. Unfortunately due to current road construction, you had to drive around the longer way from State St. Was very clean and had nice size bathroom.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great couples hotel to explore Santa Barbara!"
Great little hotel, very conveniently located in Santa Barbara to most things you would want to do on a short visit - beach, marina, Stearn's Wharf, State Street, wine tasting rooms - all within walking distance. Nice balcony to enjoy coffee or the sun. Quiet neighborhood location & residential feel. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful Inn Near the Beach"
We made a last minute reservation at the Eagle Inn and didn't know the hotel before we made the reservation. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The decor complements the architecture, the room was well appointed and the breakfast offerings were ample and made to order ~ not just a muffins and coffee buffet. We've made reservations there for […] a subsequent trip. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great place for vacation!"
The room was great (recent;y renovated), and the location of the inn to local sites was great. We walked to dinner at the wharf one night. The breakfasts were tasty and made to order. Parking is limited, but we were able to get a spot every night. Service was prompt and friendly from the innkeepers at the front desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Like living in Santa Barbara"
It was cozy B&B. Walking distance to beach, Amtrak station and State St.Genuine Expedia guest review

Our room was on the ground floor and faced the parking lot and streets. And yet we didn't hear any street noise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent choice in Santa Barbara"
I've traveled to Santa Barbara on several occasions. Usually I feel hotels are overpriced in SB, but this hotel was an exception. The hotel is in a good location, the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are good. My only minor criticism of this hotel is that the coffee they served with breakfast was […] not up to par with everything else. Otherwise I feel this is a great place to stay and a great bargain. Very nice. We liked the hotel, building and grounds. Would have stayed more than one night if it had not rained the second day. We left early in the morning since on the way to the hotel, the 101 Fwy going south was backed up for at least 10 miles due to construction. Plan to go back in the summer 2013 and spend more than one night there. It's not […] 5 Star, but you know that going in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The Eagle Inn is amazing. It is right in the middle of downtown and you have everything you could want in walking distance. The ONLY negative thing i could say is that the complementary breakfast could have been better. Shelly at the front desk was incredibly friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the "happening spots". I would strongly recomend […] staying here if you are planning a get away. "Great location, great room, great staff."
The hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel was a short walk to the beach. All of this for a cheaper rate than other hotels in the area. We were very impressed and would certainly stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Strongly Consider staying here"
This Hotel is super friendly and on the nights that we decided not to to go out after a long day they even had some DVD's for us to watch. Comfort, cleanliness and food all excellent, really nice breakfast to get you going. It would be our choice if we get back to SB.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Hotel But Looking A Bit Tired"
Service was friendly, breakfast was good. Hotel looks a bit tired although hotel is in the process of remodelling some of the units. The neighbourhood is very quiet and a good location to the waterfront and to the town centre.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Hidden gem B&B convenient to beach, pier and marina"
If you need a B&B in Santa Barbara about a block from the beach and right in between the marina and pier this is it. The staff was awesome, very friendly, happy and helpful. The room was comfortable and I slept well which is unusual for a first night away from home. The breakfast was made fresh (and free!) by a chef who came out to ask us what we wanted. "Lovely little Hotel"
The Hotel is very conveniently located within a couple blocks of the beach and five minute walk from State Street. The breakfasts are very nice - simple, but just right. The evening snacks in the lobby were an unexpected plus. The staff is very helpful. When we got to the Hotel, the wireless signal was not strong enough in our room, so we had to go […] to the lobby or hallway. Not a huge deal since we weren't using it much, but when we mentioned it at the desk, they installed a new router the same day to fix the issue. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was a block from the beach, in a quiet neighborhood. The room was very comfy, and the staff was fantastic. They even had free DVD's to borrow, as well as bikes to ride. We had a blast riding all over! Can't wait to go back again! Word of caution, though... don't park on the street after 10 a.m. We got a ticket bcuz the parking lot was full […] when we got in late. The desk is closed after 10 p.m. so we just parked on the street. Needed to move by 10 a.m. - now we know. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Loved this place"
I loved this place - it is only a short block's walk from the pier, etc, but it's so quiet, as it's located in a residential neighborhood. We had a separate unit from the main hotel, which included a kitchenette, a living room, and a huge bedroom with hottub. Breaksfast was brought to you oeach morning in your room, and the food was delicious - an entree, […] usually an egg dish such as a quiche, a bowl of fruit, bagel, orange juice. I would definitely stay here again. The staff were very pleasant. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Love the location easy access to Stat St, Warf, et"
The basic room is extremely small. We were upgraded to a nicer size due to A/C not working....hottest day of the year. I would not book the basic again due to the miniscule size....if you do not want to pay more, go to another place as the basic is NOT a good value for the money spent and 2 nights would be impossible in that tight space.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"beautiful hotel, close to everything yet quiet."
The hotel was a wonderful surprise. Beautifully renovated in Spanish style.Since it was our first visit to Santa Barbara, the staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast included in the room rate was not your typical continental breakfast. Each day a new selection was offered which was very tasty. The pier, State Street and the wine tasting area were […] all within walking distance as well as the Amtrak station. We will definitely return to the Eagle Inn! We adore staying in a B$B, but we were so disappointed in the Eagle Inn. The lobby is nice and the attendant pleasant, but that is all I can say positive about the hotel. Our room was so small two people could not walk around it without bumping into each other. I would not take off my shoes because the carpet was dirty and smelled of stinky feet. The […] bathroom was tiny, old and had what looked like mold on the ceiling. I decided it was better to put on more deodorant than take a shower in the tub. For what we paid for one night I had expected a lot better quality. I guess we paid for location, not quality. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The Eagle Inn was "The Best" ! A great location a very easy walk from the Amtrack. I rode a provided bike to suggested restuarants, shopping on State Street, the mission, and museum of natural history. All recomendations from the hotel staff. I loved this Inn. Fun!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't miss this!"
This hotel was absolutely charming, very much appropriate to Santa Barbara. Throughout, there was much attention paid to detail in this missions-style hotel. If you get an opportunity to stay in this lovely resort town, don't miss this hidden gem! My husband wanted me to celebrate my one-year cancer free anniversary and this hotel helped to make a most […] memorable celebration! We stayed in one of the rooms annexed to the main hotel (Santa Maria, I think?), which had a private balcony where we enjoyed our room-serviced breakfast overlooking an interesting walkway filled with bougainvillea and an orange tree! The room itself was filled with mission style furniture, lots of windows, a sitting room with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub, that they adorned with red rose petals laid out in the shape of a heart in the tub. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever experienced in a hotel. The pillows were wonderful and the sheets--don't know what they were except they had to be high thread count--just like velvet on your skin! All around, this is a stay you don't want to miss when traveling to SB!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quaint hotel, perfect location"
The hotel has a pleasant staff, enjoyable complimentary breakfast, excellent location. The room was small, the pillows were tiny and not enough of them. Because the room was small, there were not enough comfortable seating areas for more than one person. However, since we were out of the room most of the time, not too much of a problem. I think the […] room was meant for one person but because we booked late, we got this tiny room. Being that small, the price was a bit more than it should have been in my opinion. However, we were happy to find an availability at the last minute in a nice hotel near the Amtrak station. Great location and easy walk to everywhere. The complimentary breakfast had healthful options. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great find close to Santa Barbara Pier"
This is a great location, quiet not being right on the beach but only a block from the beach in one direction and a couple of blocks from the famous Fig Tree in the other direction. Room was a little small but comfortable and very clean. Staff was great although there was a small issue when we returned from dinner and the parking lot was full. Front […] desk was closed and the answering service did not have instructions for us (Street parking is restricted). Finally got an answer after a few calls to use handicap space until morning. When I mentioned this issue to the front desk in the morning they were going to start leaving instructions for other guests in the future. Breakfast on the patio was included and was fantastic! We'll definitely be back again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
