It looks as though I was one of the lucky ones - I paid £26 for my room and it was in the beautiful towers building that you see in the pictures. However, I suspect the rooms are more tired than in the new building, so though my room was huge (& had a four poster bed), some people that have complained about the new rooms being pokey would probably complain […] about these rooms being a bit shabby! Didn't bother me though, it was extremely quiet with a beautiful view of the grounds. I had a swim (pool good but changing rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a while), good Chinese takeaway up the road, pub was ok for a pint & hotel bar nice also. Woken up at 6.45am by hovering outside my room though, thought that was a little too early! However for £26 I have no complaints whatsoever!! Read more

The services that they offer on the website was nothing compared to what they could offer me during my visit - there was no spa, there was however a swimming pool and a gym, although they were all pre-occupied so i never got the chance.

Wasn't a bad hotel. It is a business hotel, for business people and not the relaxed country pile the photographs show. You drive round the back and check in at the business centre which is a kind of superior travel lodge. Everything was ok, but that's it, just ok. There wasn't anything wrong really, but the parking is a fair walk from the reception, which makes life difficult if you have heavy bags, or if it's raining.

This was probably one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed at. Excellent. Only one issue when checking out was asked to pay again? When I re affirmed to the receptionist that I had already paid she disagreed. I had to produce the evidence via my mobile phone otherwise I would have been double charged. Please be aware!

Comfortable room . Good customer service very friendly helpful staff in all areas. Restaurant meal and breakfast both excellent. We looked at the towers which are very interesting. Loved the coffee and biscuits a very nice touch as well as in the room other hotels should follow this idea.

The staff were helpful and pleasant. The bar/dining area was not large enough to support all guests. The bathroom decor needs updating it is old, worn and in some places not clean. Location is fine providing you have a car.

This hotel is really well set out and the food has been excellent everytime I've stayed. It would have got 5's across the board, if only for a reliable phone signal (3) in the room I was in. I did manage to get a vodafone signal for about 15 minutes before that too disappeared.

Hotel is well maintained, rooms small but adequate and nice decor, comfy bed. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Pool is nice to relax in, gym a but small and not very well kitted out. Food in restaurant is buffet style from set menu but very expensive as approx £18 whether u have one course or 3!!!

We always receive great service, the staff are really friendly, rooms are quite small but have everything you need, the only negative I would mention is that drinks are quite expensive and the menu is rather limited. Other than that, if you can get the special deals that come up you really can't go wrong!

The hotel is starting to look shabby, stair carpets could do with a good clean. Paid for a double room they tried to put me in a single (thats the 2nd time they have done that). Better than expected!! The hotel was perfectly located only a short drive from Guildford/ Leatherhead and in the heart of the Surrey countryside. For a big hotel its still very personal with the staff every eager and equiped to help you. Booking restaurants, taxis and days out were greeted with a smile and nothing seemed too much trouble. We stayed here before a vineyard event in dorking. It wasn't too far away from there and was the best hotel by far with regards to ratings. The standard double was compact yet functional and is ideal for those who only really sleep in the room. We ate dinner in the steam and bake restaurant on site which was very well priced for the quality and amount […] of choice. Top class hotel but the room we were given was one of the smallest I have ever stayed in. The en-suite could not have been smaller and still functional. We were only staying for one night so this was not the end of the world but any longer stay would of been challenging.

This place was lovely, the pool was great the whole place was warm and friendly. The room was wonderful and clean shower was easy to use and hot water was not limited. The bed was cosy and clean and the tele was great condition and had many channels. I reccomend staying here to everyone for any occasion and I will return.

The only problem encountered which marred our stay was the fan in the bathroom was not working leaving the room to be like a sauna when the shower was used. Dissapointing as the room and ameneties were excellent. Would use again, but would check the room out first.

The room was lovely and very comfortable although when investigating under the bed for a lost earring there was a certain amount of debris lurking. We chose the hotel because it had a pool but on arrival (and for the rest of our stay) it was out of action. As compensation, we were given complimentary breakfasts for our stay and we swam elsewhere. Our […] booking stated there'd be a bath yet the room we were initially offered only had a shower, but again the staff pulled out the stops and got us what we wanted. And finally our booking stated a 10am check out time yet the hotel requested a 9am checkout. Those wonderful people pulled the strings again, but for prospective guests, be warned: if you check out at 10am be sure to be in the restaurant for breakfast by 9am as the selection dwindles and they start packing up just before 10am. Toilet is not clean with no toiletries given just hand soap. We booked it due to the pool but it was under maintenance both days so dissapointing. The room itself was ok and we got an extra blanket that we asked for. It can get a little noisy at times. Not what we expect from a de vere.
