I only stayed here one night, but this would be a great place to bring a family, and stay for several days. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and comfortable, loved the gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and the kitchen was handy. Access to the units is a little inconvenient -- lots of steps to go up and down, especially if you're on the back side. But the location is great, just outside Banff, and just a 3 minute drive to Canmore.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

t think for the price I don't think you can beat the place. Yes its a bit dated etc and parking could be tight (especially if those people with big trucks who can't park!!). If you want a cheap hotel its for you, if not, then pay more and go elseware.

Our stay was very pleasant an comfortable, and all of the staff were amazing. We had the best time in the bar with our sever who we made cry as she was laughing soo hard!! The menue was exquisite and our server, Julia, treated us like royalty! Our favourite dessert was some frozen cheese cake balls, twice!!! "To die for" is all I can say about that. I would highly recommend staying there as you are only minutes from Banff.

STAYED AT THE FOX HOTEL THE END OF SEPTEMBER. THE ROOM WAS A LITTLE ON THE SMALL SIDE BUT WAS COMFORTABLE...THE HOT TUB WAS FANTASTIC AND THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD....VERY FRIENDLY STAFF . FREE BUS PASS WAS GREAT!!!

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with an unusual configuration, but well equipped to be relaxing. The exterior door into the suite lead out to a circular porch that joined all the suites on that level. There was an open atrium below in the center with a large courtyard and a fenced opening that came from the lower-level, cavelike, hot pool that was […] accessed by the lower level corridor. We were only passing through from Lake Louise to the Glacier Natl Park, but it was a pleasant stop. The complimentary breakfast was very tasty. One issue was the parking in the underground was rather tight, but we had found the same situation when visiting Vancouver, BC in past travels. Hotel had great service both in the room and at the front desk. Hotel was located quite far from downtown so it was best to take the bus or drive to downtown. The suites were spacious and the place was nice and rooms were well done, although the basement bathrooms had some issues with cleanliness.

The rooms are small but pleasantly decorated for Canada. You could safely walk to town or they provided a free bus pas. The kids liked the hot springs. The continental breakfast was fair and was the same daily. Overall great hotel and nice staff.

"Everything we expected arriving in Banff."
We arrived late afternoon after exiting the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver. Check-in was very quick & easy. Underground parking was free. Hotel staff was very helpful on directions. Continental breakfast was great. Only a 10 minute walk to downtown. Room was a little small but very comfortable. Overall a good experience. I'd stay there again.

Room was incredibly small. 2 people could not walk around the bed at the same time. Room was also poorly lit (i.e., no light over the bathroom mirror and not enough pot lights in the room). "Fox Hotel and Suites, Best in Banff - Maybe!"
This hotel was simply the best while on our road trip from California to Banff! The front desk staff is great. They asked if I had kids with me and when they found out I did, they were gracious enough to give me little fox toys. They also provided excellent information with nearby attractions and sites to see. The room was a bit cozy but not unconfrontable. […] Bed was very comfrontable and my kids loved it. The best feature at this hotel is the underground hotspring pool which is included for free to guests. Very relaxing and great location right at the mouth of Banff city. For your convenience, there is a Chili's Restaurant inside the hotel which serves free contenintal breakfast. Highly recommend this to families. Read more

"Great hotel, but..."
I highly recommend this hotel with one caveat: the standard room is TINY - seemed more like an oversized closet.. We upgraded to a suite for which was roomy and comfortable. The clerk at the front desk seemed a little embarrassed and told us that our complaint was VERY common. Service at the hotel was excellent and the amenities are nice. We were delighted with our recent two night stay at the Fox Hotel and Suites. It was everything we were looking for - clean, quiet, comfortable and of a good standard. The complimentary breakfast selection was good.

This hotel was very clean, very comfortable, and in a great location within walking distance to downtown. My one and only (and big) gripe is that the front door of the room has a door-length window on it and the transluscent shade over it is not enough to block out the bright light outside the room door. I spent four nights doing everything I could […] to block out the light from hanging towels, moving furniture and eventually stacking all of our luggage in front of the door. rooms are small but comfortable and well decorated however the hotel rooms do not have air conditioning only the suites our room was very warm even with the window left open staff are very helpful and food was totally acceptable

"Cannot wait to go bagk"
I found the staff very helpfull and friendly. We were offered an upgrade which we took, and our suite was lovely and what a view. Would definetly stay here again. Also a lovely breakfast and we had dinner in the hotel and it was lovely so would recommend this hotel,

Our children loved the grotto. Service was excellent and room decor and layout were thoughtful. The only areas that need improvement, if possible, are the size of the room (small) and addition of breakfast buffet items.

When we checked in, they offered us a very inexpensive upgrade to a large suite with 2 floors and a full kitchen, etc. It was awesome and well worth the money - especially since we had our 2 children with us as well. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly nice. The Chili's on-site was great. The lobby staff was wonderful and helped us book some extra-activities […] at a great price and they even took care of making all of the calls and arrangements for us. "One of the nicer hotels in Banff"
Nice hotel. Other than Banff Springs & The Rim Rock, this is one of the nicer hotels in Banff, although not really comparable to the aforementioned. Rooms are clean, good layout, decent hot tub, etc. Walking distance to shopping/restaurants/liquor stores.
"Close but removed"
Fox Hotel is ideally located close enough to walk to the Banff town centre but far enough removed from the busy stream of tourists. Unfortunately we could only book one night but it was a perfect stay- well almost. The hot spring cave on the parking level, offers great therapy after a long hike or day of skiing and the restaurant Chilis, located on […] site, caps the day off with the best Margaritas and rack of ribs! The room was perfect for the two of us; rustic, clean, all the amenities of the bathroom and a wonderful bed with a soft top. I would, however, ditch the high, firm abundance of pillows for your own. I eventually had to remove all of them to get a good nights sleep! Great hospitality and polite, helpful staff and if you don't have a bathing suit with you, the Hudsons Bay Banff offers great discounts on lots of swimwear on the lower level. Experiencing the cave is worth the purchase! Will book with Fox for our next visit to Banff. Read more

"Our Stay"
We stayed at the Fox, myslef girlfriend and her two daughters. We booked the two bedroom with King and two Queens. This room was perfect for us, clean and very well kept. I have worked in the past in Hotels in managment positions and would recommend this hotel strongly. We had a great time and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thankyou.

Would recommend hotel to others however as its clean and very convenient however, bring you own pillow! Beds are comfortable but the pillows are hard as a rock.
"Cozy and cute!"
We really enjoyed our stay. Was a really clean hotel and all around nice. We did not have a fridge in our room though which we would have liked. Definitely will be back!
