I chose this hotel based on three things: 1-Price 2-Location 3-Internet connection in room The hotel was very comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed for five days at a very reasonable rate. Location was very important. I was in DC filming the health care march and it was very important to be near a train station. The hotel is about a half mile from the Branch Ave. station and the hotel provides shuttle service to and from. The internet connection left something to be desired. If you want to surf the web the connection is ok; however if you are like me and needed to upload and download information, good luck. The network is extremely slow. Overall, enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to friends and family. I rate it 8 out of 10.

Hotel clean and staff friendly. Just one problem: the room that I was allocated did not have pillows and despite asking for it during the afternoon, they still had not provided it by the evening and when they did they gave me stained and dirty pillows and I objected. Despite this rather serious problem, I would still recommend the hotel.

We even walked to and from the Metro station several times, because it was so convenient, and was in a safe area. Staff was very courteous and nice! Highly recommended!

It was easy to hop on the Metro and go out sightseeing. The hotel was very clean. Quiet location. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was okay...kids enjoyed making their own waffles. That is a big plus. The location was great. Just a 10 minute walk to the metro. The do have a free shuttle service that drops you off and picks you up at the metro. The drivers were very courteous. The shuttle came in very handy, especially after along day of walking. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was brand new or refurbished recently and extremely clean. I had a double queen and was more than enough room for my mother and I. They had 2 great breakfast rooms. They had cereal, waffles, orange juice, coffee, and more than enough food especially if you have hungry kids. In our room there was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Only about 7 blocks or a 10 minute walk to the Branch Metroline and then you take the train for a 20 minute ride to DC. The staff was extremely helpful. The hotel is located in the suburbs or it seemed like no mans land. Not alot around there that I could see, but the train takes you anywhere you want to go and there is a parking area in the hotel. There was a red lobster a few blocks from the hotel, gas station with convenience store and I think a subways. This was an excellent hotel and I highly recommend.

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. However, it was not very close as they said to the metro station. The shuttle was not always availalbe to pick you up and it made it hard for me with two seniors to walk. Although the GPS was unable to locate the exact address, the hotel was fairly easy to find. A sign for the turn-off would be helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the accomodations. Room was spotless. My only complaint was that our room was on the first floor and although the room darkening shades kept out the bright sunlight as we slept-in, the lack of sheers on the windows did not allow us to let the sun shine in as we were preparing for the day...anyone getting in their car could see in the room. Dining facilities are not within walking distance, but several available within a few miles. Would definitely stay at this location again.

We spent 3 days at the hotel during a vacation to Washington DC. The Hotel is in a great location, safe neighborhood very near the last stop on the metro line. The hotel provides shuttle service to the metro, but we typically walked back from the metro at the end of the day. It was about a 10 minute walk and we felt safe even at night(10:30 PM). Metro to Capital stop takes about 20 minutes. The hotel was clean, the staff freindly and helpful. Not many restaurants within walking distance. If you have a car Old Town Alexandria is about 10 miles away with a miriad of great restaurants.
