My second stay here. Very nice hotel, the staff is great and very service oriented - really make you feel at home. Great, centric location. Nice view to the Burj Khalifa from some of the pool side rooms (high floors). Definitely, I will stay there next time I am in Dubai.

One spoon or one cookie for a room occupied by two adults. One wine glass, one water glass, the endless need for sugar to match the well stocked tea bags and instant coffee provided with a hot water kettle. We had to hit the 3rd floor of the Dubai mall to get a cord with British (220) plug for the computer on the first day. Save yourself the bother […] and have one in your suitcase. The free WiFi is in the lobby area. You need a intranet cord (provided) to get online in the room. The hotel room safe is large enough for your laptop PC. The daily chocolate covered dates (for two) were nice as well as the lobby lounge desert offerings. Breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. Get the buffet included with the room when you book. The antipasto buffet is part of a 3 course dinner and you are charged for the entire meal regardless of being stuffed with antipasto with only one plateful and not needing another 2 courses. Someone with a bigger appetite would enjoy the full meal. The location of this hotel was perfect being in walking distance of the Burg Khalifi, Dubai Fountain, Dubai mall, various souks and sidewalk cafes. The sidewalks are as wide as the streets so there is little noise from the traffic. Even the crosswalks have polished granite and slate inlay. There is a lot to be admired here. Pizza delivery on scooters, in the mall there are real plates in the food court, the Burj Khalifi collects the condensation from it's air conditioning to water the landscaping. Read more

I was checked in by smiles, upgrades information, Orange Juice and Dates. Everyone was incredible and helpful. The hotel was gorgeous in itself especially for mid-priced in the area. Out the back gate by the pool and I was at the Dubai Mall in minutes. This was perfect and exactly what I wanted in all aspects. I have no complaints whatsoever. I would […] have rated this 5 across the board but that seems lazy. 4 for comfort as I did have to call down for an internet cable as the WiFi in my room was not working. An IT person showed up within minutes and I was up and running in less than a minute. Other than that A+, 5 by 5, super stay and a recommendation for anyone that would like a reasonable well placed hotel in the Old Town District. I stayed at this hotel for about 4 Nights, the first night was at the Executive Suite which was big enough for the two of us. The rest of the nights was in their standard room which comes with a Queen size bed, the washroom and shower is very open ... the room size is way too small. The location is not perfect if you want to catch the metro but is […] walking distance (10mins) to the Dubai Mall (but walking in the heat is almost impossible). There is no metro inside the Dubai Mall so that's another 10 mins walk... We would have been better off at a different hotel which has better access to train stations, that's what we used the most as its convenient and cheap. Taxis are very expensive, and the drivers take you around in circles just to charge you more. The hotel decor and amenities otherwise is great, but i just can't get over the room size. Read more

Location of hotel across from Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa is superb and so convenient. The concierge was especially helpful. See-through and doorless bathroom is not everyone's idea of practical design though blinds are provided and toilet is separate. Nearby Boulevard Cafe outside Al Manzil Hotel is nice for breakfast.

Lots of nice little touches, water bottles replenished twice a day, chocolates on bed when turned done at night, fast wifi.....nice pool, little things that add up to a good stay......just what is needed after 18 hour journey and 1 hour getting through passport control

arriving at 3am we were welcomed with fruit juice, fresh dates and warm smiles from the night manager and concierge then without delay shown to our rooms [travelling with friends]. we had a great room on the 6th floor, very comfortable bed in a quiet location, fantastic modern bathroom with bath. pleasant lounge area and restaurant, didn't eat there […] but the breakfast [extra charge] looked inviting, free wifi was offered and taxis plentiful though the hotel is in a central position to the Burj and the largest shopping mall. will definitely stay there again when travelling through dubai. Good location. 10 min walk to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Souk Al Bahar is just across the road, also a metro system runs from the Dubai Mall for easy transport. Eventhough it was a last minute choice (as our original hotel was cancelled), I didn't regret it. Though the price is too high. We came in on an earlier flight (3 a.m) and I decided to arrange for an airport pick-up and the night manager corresponds promptly. We arrived at the hotel at 9.am. and was given an earlier check-in. The lady at the reception […] counter (Ms. Milen) was very friendly, helpful and courteous. It was a nice welcome after spending 6 hours in the airport. The room was very clean and tidy. Only problem is the see through and open concept bathroom. Luckily, there was a pull down blind and there was a shower cubicle (and the toilet is enclosed). It was still embarrassing though (was staying with mum). I like the hotel's designs and colour choice. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay here, but the man during our check-out was unfriendly and rude. I would like stay here again if the price was lower. We found the overall experience very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, although occasionally the language difference was a bit of a problem. WeI would also have appreciated a few more "casual dining" choices available on the menu. We probably would have dined at the hotel if there had been.

The Concierge was extremely helpful, giving us great advice on excursions, and actually saved us some money, by having insider knowledge. Perfect !! I would not hesitate to recommend the Qamardeen to anyone who wants a les than super-expensive visit to Dubai. It might not have a Spa, but if that's not important then you're not paying a premium for one. The Gym is a bit small, and a little male-oriented (so my wife thinks), as the free weights start at 10kg, and the screens only show sports.
