Hotel Bleu was a good place to stay during a quick trip to Brooklyn. We were there for a printmaker's workshop at a designer's studio in Gowanus, the hotel was conveniently located 3 blocks away. HB was utilitarian, clean, affordable and had a great rooftop bar w/view. The folks who work there are very nice and helpful. There were many good restaurants […] and cafes nearby, great walking through park slope and on to Brooklyn Museum of Art, park, etc. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel with a weird bathroom."
No privacy in bathroom. Shower, sink, and toilet too open to the room. No door to area. Very weird and unlike any hotel that I have ever stayed in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The location isn't as strange as it seems"
Hotel LeBleu is an interesting hotel with incredibly comfortable beds, nice amenities (including complementary pastries brought to the room for breakfast, to go with the make-your-own Starbucks coffee), and (at least in one direction) interesting views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The people who run it are extremely nice. And there's free parking. The […] location, next to a UHaul, is less than inspiring, but just a one-block walk up 3rd or 4th Street takes you to 5th Avenue (numbered streets in Brooklyn can be confusing; in general the avenues are the major shopping streets), where there are lots of bars, restaurants, local stores and everything else Park Slope. "excellent place to stay"
I stayed at Le Bleu for two nights and had a fantastic time. The hotel room was clean and in pristine condition just like the pictures. Check in was a breeze got a room with a balcony and a view of the city plus the statue of liberty. Went to dinner at the roof top restaurant and the shrimp was to die for. There was a mixed up with my breakfast as I […] had put the wrong room number on my form and the front desk was able to sort it out for me. Check out was also breeze. Henry asked if I needed a cab called. I truly enjoyed my time at this hotel and would definitely stay there again whenever in New York. Thanks Le Bleu staff especially Edes and Henry. "very good hotel if albeit pricey"
the staff (Amanda, Henry and Melissa) is excellent. having been at le bleu other times, with other members of the staff... I believe that management has a knack for finding friendly professional and very, very nice personnel. value added!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Comfy Hotel-- great staff"
The front desk staff was amazing-- very friendly and helpful. I interacted with three different people and it was top notch. The hotel was very comfy and while some reviewers didn't like the glass shower, I did. Extra big with a traditional and hand held shower head. Beds were very nice. We had a "view" room. We could see the glow of the Statue of Liberty […] but it's pretty far. We went up to the restaurant to have a dink. While it is not associated with the hotel, it was probably the worst martini I've ever had. We didn't realize there was a bar one floor up so be forewarned. Hunt for discounted prices-- they are there for this hotel. I'd stay here again but skip the drink in the restaurant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Something is different......."
This is my 4th stay at Hotel Le Bleu. This visit the staff was not as personable as in the past. My room was on a lower level with no view. I expected as a return customer, I would have a higher quality type of room. The rooftop is still in flux. So no bar area or food on the premises. Which is too bad because the rooftop has great skyline views.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hipsters , you are going to love it"
I would stay at Hotel LeBlue again but would prefer something closer to Prospect Park. The room was clean but the carpet was stained. The wifi worked and they delivery a pastry each morning. Warm and tasty. The bed was very comfortable and the price was moderate. Easy access to the subways and 10 minutes to 5th Ave and 100s of eateries. Try it.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was nice, pretty blue decoration. Mini fridge with coffee machine in room (Starbucks coffee), but no microwave. You have to fill a paper for your breakfast and if will deliver to your room at the window time you choose.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay for concerts"
The room was super clean. The staff was very friendly and called taxis for us and packed our breakfast to go because we had an early flight out. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Brooklyn Location"
This hotel was perfect for our weekend stay in New York. The staff was as warm, welcoming and helpful as any bed and breakfast and the rooms were modern and very comfortable. We could have paid twice the amount we did and felt like we got a good deal. This hotel is a gem and the staff were incredible. Thank you for a delightful weekend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel convenient to Park Slope"
Amanda and Henry were a phenomenal help, and the room far exceeded expectations, only hold up were mysterious stains on the floor, other than that a solid A-. And the shower was phenomenal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Near a good location but on a terrible block"
Hotel room was nice and the staff were very pleasant and helpful however neither made up for the terrible block. Hotel is surrounded by a U-Haul lot, taxi dispatch, Pep Boys, Office Depot and the rest is literally rubble. A few blocks north has great dining options but the hotel is not a good place to stay and rather pricey for the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate hotel for business travel"
I found the Hotel Le Bleu to be an adequate, but not outstanding, hotel for business travel. The staff was generally friendly, and the hotel offered some nice perks (free breakfast served to your room, free Internet). However, the location of the hotel is not ideal, at least for guests who are not already familiar with Brooklyn. It doesn't appear that […] there are many restaurants or other attractions in the immediate vicinity. Also, the hotel's restaurant was somewhat disappointing. Although I was the only person in the restaurant, the staff was not very attentive and I found the food to be mediocre. Also, the hotel does not offer a fitness center. "Great Boutique Hotel"
The staff at Hotel Le Bleu was fantastic!!!!! The room was well kept, and the bed was very comfortable. The only complaint is that the walls are a little thin so we could hear the music and a baby crying next door. However, with the price we paid, we could tolerate it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice staff."
The Hotel is very small but it is excellent. The stuff was very kind and wonderful; and are always ready to help anyway possible. The rooms are kept clean and look amazing under the blue hue lighting it. The only thing I did not like was the location of the hotel; however that can be over looked by having a wonderful staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
My husband and I went to Brooklyn for a quick overnight trip. I chose Hotel Le Bleu based primarily on location. What a nice hotel! The staff was extremely solicitous and helpful. The view wasn't anything to look at but the inside of our room was beautiful and modern. The room was also very clean. There's a restaurant on the 8th floor which isn't part […] of the hotel but the staff there was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're going to Brooklyn. I look forward to going back some day soon. Oh yeah, the warm muffins delivered to my door in the morning didn't hurt either! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Can't tell a book by it's cover"
Don't be put off by the exterior appearance or the lobby of this hotel. From the outside it is not at all appealing. Set back from the street with a cab maintenance facility on one side and a car parts shop on the other. Strange exterior lighting with an odd bluish glow. Very small lobby. Hallway rug extremely worn. But the room was great, clean, spacious, […] very good plumbing. Wifi strong and free. Only possible criticism of the room is clear glass shower area, not for the modest. And the service was friendly and efficient. Excellent location for the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and Stylish"
I would definitely stay here again. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel staff was friendly and provided a lot of amenities. The bathroom was a little run down, but nothing that really affected our stay. Also, do NOT eat at the restaurant in the hotel. It's terrible. But DO that at Hotel Le Bleu. It's lovelyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Interesting concept in Brooklyn, very minimalist entrance, nice neighborhood but need to walk to 5th avenue to realize it, rooms were very clean, nice, close to subway and Manhattan, unfortunately we had noisy neighbors.Genuine Expedia guest review
"GLASS BATHROOM NOT FOR FAMILIES"
THE HOTEL HAS A GLASS BATHROOM. THERE IS NO PRIVACY WHEN ON THE TOILET OR IN THE SHOWER. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN UNLESS I WAS BY MYSELF. I WAS TRAVELING WITH MY KIDS AND USING THE BATHROOM WAS VERY AWKWARD FOR ALL OF US. I WOULD NOT EVEN GO BACK WITH JUST MY HUSBAND. SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW. ALSO, I BOOKED ON HOTELS.COM AND DID THE SEARCH FOR 1 ADULT […] WITH 2 CHILDREN. RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION FOR THE SAME. WHEN I CHECKED IN TO THE HOTEL, THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME AN ADDITIONAL $25 PER CHILD FEE. AFTER GETTING UPSET THEY WAIVED THE EXTRA $50. NOT THE BEST WAY TO START A VACATION. "One Night Stand"
I booked a room at this hotel when a friend from overseas came to visit and the AC in my Brooklyn home was out of order. I picked it because i had heard there was a nice roof top bar. That was a disappointment because the outdoor space for the bar was very small and there was a condenser that was quite noisy. the indoor bar had no AC so we stayed for […] just one drink and then left. On the plus side, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. The beds were really comfortable and the waterfall shower was great ( no tub which doesn't bother me but some could be an issue for some guests). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very Nice Hotel But..."
I've been wanting to stay at this hotel for some time now, and I was really excited about the deal I caught for a summer stay. The hotel is very nice and so are the staff. The room was really nice, but I was one of the unfortunate ones that received a handi-cap bathroom where there is no separation on the floor to differentiate the bathroom floor from […] the shower floor. The bathroom was one large room with a curtain to block off the shower and a drain on the floor that didn't do well at preventing the water from spreading along the entire bathroom floor. We had to use towels to stop the water from seeping out of the bathroom. I was able to overlook the fact that I didn't get the type of bathroom I wanted because I did have a balcony facing the main street and parking lot. My biggest issue was when I pulled the covers back to get in the bed and saw a really large stain that appeared to be blood mixed with some type of oil. The sheets were washed, however should have been discarded since those types of stains rarely come out of materials. I called the front desk and they sent someone right away to change the sheets. He took pictures and said they will be sent to management. The woman at the front desk compensated me with free items from the minibar and also a discounted rate if I ever stayed again. "Nice, modern hotel in Brooklyn"
We were pleasantly surprised by this nice find in Park Slope community. The room is very crisp, clean and sleek. It comes complete with a large high definition tv, Bose sound system, iPod dock and glass shower. The shower is very sexy, is glass and visible from the bedroom! It has a curtain, if you are modest. The only two issues were that the toilet […] was also in the open area. We would have liked more privacy there and the hotel wanted to charge 25 dollars for each child above the rate. This is a great hotel for a romantic trip to Brooklyn, but the in room shower was tricky on a family trip. There is a balcony.....it came in useful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Used to Love it, now Needs Improvements"
First day: I had to bring to the front desk's attention that their was water leakage from the shower onto the sleeping area. They looked into moving me, but could not give me another room because they were fully booked. Second day: The leak persisted, so I complained again. This time they found a room and moved me. The staff was trying very hard to […] be accommodating, and the entire exchange always stayed cordial and pleasant. However, I have to believe this happens a lot. The physical condition of the hotel seems to continue to decline. The last time I stayed, I had to bring to their attention the apparent water penetration from outside of the building into the room. I really hope this hotel can get back in shape because there isn't anything else near Park Slope. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great hotel in an odd location"
First of all, the staff of the hotel were quite nice and attentive. The room was great with only a couple of small drawbacks. For some reason, they did not provide the usual hotel pen so when I went to fill out my breakfast order, I had to punch holes in the placard. Not a big deal. The second drawback was their WiFi signal was fairly weak. It took […] an unusually long amount of time to load pages and when you are looking to plan your next day, you want to be able to pull up websites rather quickly. Otherwise, I thought this was a great hotel. It is located only 4 blocks from the nearest subway station which was very nice. The location of the hotel, however, was somewhat odd. Next door to the hotel was a Staples and on the other side a taxi yard. Looking at the block, one would never guess a posh hotel like Hotel Le Bleu was there. Again, not a big deal, but it was odd. Great experience for the following reasons : 1). Very friendly staff at check-in. 2). Trendy interior design in rooms - very clean, open, and creative! 3). Rooftop restaurant/bar staff were very welcoming and friendly. 4). "Nice Place...on the inside"
The hotel is sandwiched in between a tire repair shop and a U-Haul rental place. The neighborhood is not perfect, but it is close to Park slope and is an easy walk to a relatively safe neighborhood to get to the bars, restaurants, and shops of Park slope. The hotel inside, is immaculate. I had a good experience and I will go again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The employees are very customer friendly and more than willing to assist the guest with any needs or requests. High quality of service. The continental breakfest is delivered to your room in the am but time starts at 7 am. If you are leaving earlier than 7 am you have to request an earlier delivery time. Items for the continental breakfest is limited […] on the form that has to be filled out and hung on your door handle. House keeping is great and the upkeep of the rooms are in excellent condition. The shower is made of glass and see through but there is a current on the outside that can surround the shower for privacy. There is a restuarant on the 8th floor that is excellent and the chef takes pride in the quality of food and service for the guest. If you are driving and have to park a vehicle be aware that the parking spaces for the hotel are limited to approx 10 to 15 vehicles. With the limited parking it makes it very difficult to back up or turn your vehicle around to exit the parking lot when leaving. Over flow has to park along side the street or use a parking garage that charges to park. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We were staying at Hotel Le Bleu to attend a wedding in Brooklyn. The glassed in bathroom was very unique but a bit awkward because we were sharing our room. Parking is very minimal so be prepared to find street parking. We were lucky to be able to park across the street with no meter. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel […] staff are all very friendly and the bartender kept the bar open for us for an after-wedding nightcap. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel adjacent to nice neighborhood"
We arrived a bit early and our room wasn't ready yet. The pleasant and genuinely personable staff helped us find our way to the adjacent Park Slope neighborhood and Prospect Park, offered favorable comments about the restaurant where we were going to dinner and to the Bell House. When we returned, room was ready, clean and since it was raining the staff […] offered help to get around. Don't be put off by the on-line depictions of the glassed-in bathroom. The commode is discretely located behind opaque glass, in contrast to the shower, behind clear glass, but there's a curtain. In any event, both were just fine, even for a conservative old guy. Comfortable bed, nice little continental breakfast brought to the room at exactly the time promised. The street on which the hotel is locate is a little rougher than Park Slope (directly across the street), but I don't know if it was just appearances. In any event, our walk from the Hotel and Bell House and back at night, was unremarkable. That's it. We were only there one night. Good hotel; very good staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
