"Owners Need To Stop Renting Rooms"

This is a lovely property (needing some serious updating) in a great location, but the folks who own it do not want to be innkeepers anymore and they let us know it! I was flabbergasted by how unpleasant their attitude made our stay. I have loved this property in the past and wouldn't stay there again unless the ownership changed.

I really don't want to tell you what a wonderful inn this is because then I won't get a room there the next time I want to stay. From the time you walk under the vine covered arch and up the pumpkin laden stairs, you fall under its enchantment. With two living rooms filled with comfortable chairs all around, a beautiful, cozy dining room with a working fireplace, and a small, intimate pub, you don't have to leave if you don't want to. Breakfast is nicely served (the pumpkin pancakes were to die for). Everyone working there is friendly and make you feel right at home. The gardens and fish pond are a pleasure in all kinds of weather. The room, while small, was very comfortable, the bed easy to sleep in and there were lots of large pillows. The furnishings make you want to go antiquing right away. This is high on my list of favorite places to get away to.
