I found a great deal on hotels.com and was very pleased how easy it was to book the reservation and check in went smoothly. The hotel is nice. We booked one room with a King sized bed- however- it was more like an efficiancy with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and dishes, sitting area and large balcony and large bathroom. I was very pleased with the […] room. It was much more than I expected. Our room number had an "H" on the end of it so I don't know if that was what distinguished the type of room. There are several pools to choose from and it's a beachfront hotel. Being able to eat outside at the hotel restaurants made it so easy. "Nice hotel with a few glitches"
My husband and I first arrived and entered through the Royale Palms entrance. No one was at the desk, so we had to walk around to the adjoining Hilton to check in our room. We had a one bedroom suite, no. 1606H. Was nice and clean, decent balcony, but the view was somewhat obstructed. We had to sit at an angle to see the ocean. No sunrise or sunset […] from our balcony. If you can, go for oceanfront rather than oceanview room. If you lean over the balcony too far, you can see what your neighbors are doing on their balconies. The air stopped working the first night, but after a front desk call, maintenance came and reset the electrical box. All was well after that. The closet safe malfunctioned with my wallet and computer inside. Had to call the front desk and security came and opened it. Needless to say, I put nothing else in the safe. Comfortable bed, but the pillows were horrible! Wet bar was decent. Bathroom was big. The cleaning person wasn't great. She made the bed, but vacuumed only 1 or 2 times during our 4 day stay, never replaced our bathroom toiletries and we had to ask for wash towels. Hotel restaurant, Cafe Amalfi, was nice. If you go out, definitely go to Cagney's. The lobster & prime rib were melt in your mouth & the baked seafood casserole was to die for! The elevators are slowwwww. 24 floors, 1 elevator and only 1 ice machine on the lobby floor. Go figure. But, overall, it was a nice trip. Would go back, but with an oceanfront room. "Convient to outlets"
Air conditioner wasn't cooling on 1t day so we were moved to a much larger room. The maintenance guy helped us move our stuff&was very helpful. Everything was great! The Royale Palms condos were wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable, loved having the kitchenette (mini fridge/freezer, microwave and sink) so we could eat breakfast before walking to the beach :-) The pools were always jam-packed (lots of kids) but it is way more fun to swim in the ocean, anyway! Air conditoning was shut down throughout the whole hotel the day we checked in and we were told that it would be working at 3 pm that day. Our airconditioning never worked and the room was close to 90 degrees all night. Had to set out on the balcony to get relief and it was in the mid 90's outside. "Nice Hotel - Close to Everything"
Our room was suppose to be an ocean view but I would not consider it that. We would need binoculars to see the water. Friday night when we arrived the air conditioner was turned on to 70 degrees to cool the room. In 2 hours, it didn't cool below 84. I called the front desk to let them know that we were having a problems with the air conditioner and […] was told that someone would come take a look at it. We left for dinner and returned 3 hours later. The room had warmed up 2 degrees to 86. I called the front desk again and was told that they needed to check with the manager and call me back. Never heard from anyone. The next day, I called downstairs again and a maintenance man was sent up at dinner (24 hours later) to fix the problem. The pool at our hotel was closed so we needed to use the pool at the Hilton. It was extremely crowded. When I arrived at 9am there were no chairs available. The pool water was pretty dirty and I didn't see anyone check it for PH all day. Most of the restaurant staff doesn't speak very clear English which made it difficult to request simple things. Our housekeeper only gave us 3 towels and 1 washcloth for a king suite. However, the room was clean. There was a nice bar around the pool with a band playing in the afternoon. I did not like having to pay to park my own car especially when the hotel is not located in an inner city with limited parking. I also did not like paying for internet access. We loved our stay here. The moment we arrived....beautiful! The Hilton attached is gorgeous. The service was exceptional. We took advantage of the shuttle service both nights to local restaurants for dinner. The drivers were very helpful in recommending places to dine. We rented from owner/KC Management properties. They were extremely rude and we could not participate in any amenities on the property. Make sure that you rent through Hilton so you can use the pools, spa, maid service, etc.

unfortunately the service was lacking too many people and not enough help..pool bar was just a waste waiting for one fish sandwich for 1 hr and half was unacceptable...employess using the same excuse that it was there busy season all the more to be prepared I would think..hotel location was just beautiful

The Royale Palms is okay! We had two adults and three kids (16, 13, 6). First off, its not our first visit, but our first review. The Royale Palms is nice and the condo was spacious. Put the kids to bed on one side and had the other side to ourselves. We are a nonsmoking family and after waking up one morning on the 17th floor we could smell cigarette smoke in our bathroom. We called down and was informed the person next door was an owner. They moved us to the 24th floor and we had no smoke odors the rest of the trip. The condo was great and clean and we loved it, especially the huge balcony. The pools are a little different. We loved the sand pool as well as the other pool that was on the other side of the bar. The problem is they are too small for the crowds. I would wake up at 630 to go get coffee and notice people already saving pool chairs. There are way too many pool chairs for all of they guests. The rent-a-cops would not take towels or anything else, even though it is posted they would. Basically, they check coolers!! Don't bring a cooler to the pool. You will need to disguise it as a purse or something, they will check it. The water park that is included is located about 200 yards down the boardwalk from the condos. Its not that big of a trip but I really wish they had something on site. The little one loved it! The bar is great but expensive. 10 bucks for a drink and 5 bucks for a beer. Pack a cooler! The food at bar is good but if you are feeding little ones then head back to the room and pack a sandwich. We had Hilton tickets for the breakfast each morning and it was great. What they don't offer you, they will make it for you. We would eat a huge breakfast each morning then head to town for supper. Overall, I would stay here again. However, for the price they should include wifi for free. It is expensive, especially once you pay for parking.

Was able to get a "bundled" deal to include free parking and daily breakfast at a Hilton Resort during the July 4th rush.

I stayed at this hotel with my family during a business trip. Based on its location, the hotel was competitively priced. The staff were great and the managers are outstanding. You can enjoy a beautiful day at the beach or pool, both very convenient a this hotel. The breakfast was good. The bar menu had a huge selection for adults and kids.

Early check in (1:00 pm, 25.00 fee) made it very convenient upon arrival. Very clean and nice. Had the oceanview 1 room suite which was very good view. Room had granite countertops, microwave small fridge and sink with small selection of dishes, silverware and coffee maker. Perfect for 2. All in all excellent. Beach was great. Pools were very nice. Lots of manicured palms and well cared for landscaping. Connects to Hilton next door. Part of Grand Vacation offer of 3 nights so a fantastic deal as well.

Stayed oceanfront, 3rd floor. Great View! 2 adults and 4 children, plenty of space. Room decorated very nice & clean. Kids loved the pools and we had lunch everyday at the pool. The food was very good and had good choices so its not like we ate same thing every day. For what you pay per night though internet should be free.

Seven girlfriends and I stayed in a 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo last month. The location was great (right on the beach) and the condo was large and clean. We didn't use the hotels pools - went straight to the beach every day. The courtesy shuttle was a fabulous service. They'll take you to any restaurant, grocery, liquor store, mall, etc within 2 miles of the property (that gives you plenty of options).

Cons - elevators are slow and only 3 available. Hotel has 24 floors so this is a problem. Usually a line. Pools fill up fast leaving no available chairs. We were not able to go to any pool for a day due to no where to sit. Had to stand in line at 9am the next day just to get a chair. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and sank in the middle. Small uncomfortable pillows. Some of the staff were unfriendly when simply asking a question. Overpriced for the quality of the room. You are charged $8.99 PER DAY plus taxes to park in the parking garage. We were not told this when registering for the room. Internet is an extra charge. Hotel has a store but be prepared to pay high prices. A bottled soft drink and small bag of chips was $5.00. Cabanna rental per day is $80 or $120 which is very high for location. Some cabannas were hidden behind plants with no view of the ocean or pool. Breakfast buffet is overpriced for the quality. $15.99 for buffet and $10.99 for continental. Pros - hotel was clean. Small but functional kitchenette. Nice size bathroom. Nice bar/restaurant right on the beach. We would not stay at this hotel again. We are hilton honors and love hilton hotels. This was a huge disappointment.

Impossible to get a chair at either pool unless you go down and put a towel on them at 9am when it opens. Supposedly, someone monitors the "saving" of chairs but I didn't see anyone removing the towels. The line for the elevator is unacceptable - sometimes we had to wait 10 minutes to get on one. They really need to fix that situation. And for the price you pay for the condo, it should include free wi-fi but it doesn't. The staff at the front desk isn't overly friendly either. We attended a banquet there and the service there was lacking too. They ran out of bread and ice tea and when we asked for more, they said they had to make more and it would take a while! What kind of planning is that? If it weren't for the beautiful, spacious rooms and convenient location, i would have given it less stars.
